[Q] how to use Live Wallpapers - Touch Pro, Fuze Android Development

my english is not good......my touch pro use 24.01.11 DAndroid FRX04 system,i has been installed live wallpapers, but how to set or use??

I wouldn't suggest it for a our devices. Maybe for a TP2, HD or HD2 or something else but I've not had very great experience with livewallpaper. However, I'm looking into it as we speak since Gingerbread is in alpha phase...

TouchFlo 3D above 1.1

Hi there
It seems there a TouchFlo 2.1 and 2.0 etc.
I have the stock 1.1 one.
Is it a good idea to upgrade?
Whats the difference between them?
I search but I cant find any particular links to an installable file.
Custom ROMs are a lot better, and TF3D2+ is a lot better than 1.1, it looks better and there is more HTC made parts of WM, like texting, calender etc.
(I'm assuming since you have TF3D1 that you are using a stock ROM, so if that's the case and haven't used one before read the sticky's.)
But the TF3D2+ aren`t 100% ported to VGA resolution and there are few bugs mainly in landscape orientation... So it`s up to you to choose to try something new and better looking or stick to the older TF3D1 which is bug free(or at least it should be).
Thanks for the replies so far, no i've used a few other cooked roms and all, in reply to donald-c.
I was just wondering if it was possible to get a stand-alone install of such TF3D 2.0 or 2.1 to install on the stock rom?

Most stable 2.x ROM?

Hi !
I'm very happy with my Hero, but im kinda tired that HTC hasn't released atleast a 1.6 ROM yet.
Im thinking of flashing a 2.x ROM, but which is the most stable? I use my phone at work, so can't go around and reboot it constantly. Also Exchange mail is a must!
Any tips? (looking at kagu/ckdroid)
CKDroid works great! I find it most stable.
this may be a little early to make the claim of stability but i have been using AOSP 2.1 r1 by jnwhiteh all day, and it has been very stable.
i was using kagudroid before this.

CKDroid is based on it
Why don't you try MoDaCo custom roms? They are android 1.5 but heavely optimised, they're faster then any 2.x rom i've tried.
I'd say CKDroid is the fastest of the 2.X ROMs. And as far as I've tested it up against MoDaCo when it comes to speed, they are quite equal.
Ok, i'll try CKDroid.
I can't seem to see a complete flash guide. Can someone link me?
Is there indeed an offical 2.1 rom coming at some point?

KaguDroid 1.1 by LoxDev is amazing. Fast and stable. Really nice!!
what about hero2.1 v1.8?( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=592596)
i want to try a 2.1 rom with sense and i read that this is the most stable...it's true? what about the hero/espresso hybrid?
I find this one the best Sense ROM by far - full albums / camera / bluetooth etc.

Well
I tried MoDaCo 3.1 hours after getting my hero, and about the same length of time later I removed it, it was horrible and I used to get crashes of the "system" process and had to reboot, happened 5-10 times in fewer hours so i switched straight back to a rooted version of the original Hero generic latest ROM.
I might consider givng another senseUI 2.1 option a try before i make my final judgement, but that's just my experience with the MoDaCo one so far.
has anyone tried the new VILLAIN 1.0??? it seems to be almost perfect! i'm gonna try it tomorrow...if anyone has already tried it please tell me how it works!

Running very nicely here, its just missing the htc mail program so no exchange support and a couple of problems with the htc weather program not liking other locations

Yeh I just looked at that, and the exchange and lack of HTC keyboard are the only two things keeping me from flashing to it just yet. (I'm a perfectionist, so it's gotta be perfect before I'll even consider it.)
yes i read those problems...but can be resolved easily...so, when the cook will release the next version, i'll flash instantly! goodnight
I suggest KaguDroid 1.1 or later, or AOSP 2.1-r2 or later, if you can handle a vanilla (no sense ui).
Villain has Sense; which is nice because of Facebook contact sync. All other parts of Sense can be imitated by apps (like the clock/weather can be done by beautiful widgets). There are some other issues with Network Location and there is no included HTC or Android music widget in Villain. Although I prefer the HTC home-screen, I also prefer the Android lock-screen.
KaguDroid includes voice input from the keyboard, so you can use dictation to enter text into a field in ANY app.
Villain doesn't provide the HTC IME keyboard, or voice input (as of today).
Market works without using Market Enabler, for Rogers (Canada) in Kagu/AOSP. SMS incoming timestamps are correct without using SMSfixtimes in Kagu/AOSP.
As far as stability is concerned, I haven't really had issues with any of Villain/Kagu1.1/AOSP2.1-r2

HTC Desire T-mobile Black with Live wallpapers and sense - any dumps ? port ?

Hi Guys apologies if people know about this found this elsewhere but below is a link to a video of HTC desire (black T-mobile) running sense and live wallpapers i know that in terms of specs its far superior to the hero, but has anyone got thier hands on a leak of this rom ? is there one available ? and what would be the chances of porting this to hero with live wallpapers or using the base perhaps to build an AOSP 2.1 rom for hero with live wallpapers ?
hxxp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj-mUxxJIEM&feature=player_embedded
EDIT:Ok so yes there is an alph 7 release that has been ported to nexus one over at modaco and the guys there have a release candidate rom over there that there also working on porting so could we get this on our Hero's ?
The desire has a different resolution so it's probably not worth the hassle to port it over.
The Desire ROM isn't really portable to a Hero or Legend. Just use the Legend ROM for that.
The hardware platform is different, the resolution and all the graphics in Sense are (probably) different.
You can use any of the AOSP 2.1 ROMS (like Kagudroid 1.2 or 1.3) and try Live Wallpapers on there. What is working works, what doesn't is because of hardware restraints.
CKDroid (or something) managed to get some more working by playing with the OpenGL drivers, but anything more than that is simply impossible on the hero hardware.

lockscreen

hey guys im new to android os coming from windows mobile (which i loved, but too slow for me). i rooted my g1s and tried a couple of roms. I loved hero but it was way to slow. So im on supers D's donut super fast rom.(from the emogamer on youtube). This rom is terrific but im missing the heros lock screen terribly. is there any way i can port it over? or anyother lock screen? im not to fond of the stock lock screen. thanks!
Searching would have likly found you the answer...
But there are many, many lockscreen apps.... lock2.0 comes to mind...
as seasoned member of xda, trust me, searching comes natural. coming from a small wm subforum to android forums in xda is a big change. android yields many subforums and the search yields many results that are daunting, some are even outdated.
but thanks for the help anyway
Lockbot is good too, but i would upgrade to cyanogen.

tried lock 2.0. i disdain the iphone lock. ill try that one next thanks.
and reason im sticking to superd is because its faster (supposedly)

Installing Japanese IWNNIME keyboard on Desire Z

Hi guys,
Whilst I'm aware of the numerous Japanese keyboard apps available, I'm looking to get the official IWNNIME Japanese keyboard that is built into the Japanese android phones onto my Desire Z as I've heard it is faster and I am hoping will work better than the apps that are far from perfect (especially concerning compatibility with our beloved hardware keyboard).
I'm running Cyanogen Mod 7.1.0.
Does anyone know if a version of IWNNIME compatible with the Desire Z exists? Would a .zip from another HTC work?
If anyone has any information on this I'd be extremely grateful as I'm moving back out there soon and I'll need a proper solution to typing at length in Japanese!
Thanks in advance!
Os
