Hi
A few weeks ago I bought a DZ
Is there any way to remove HTC Premium navigation limit? or extend it, let's say, one year?
Thanks
If you want to leave the phone exactly as it is now, I think you'll have to use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=832503
Or just root the phone, and delete the file manually (probably easier/safer).
(this is in the wrong section though. Please close and move to the Q&A section.)
Sorry for the wrong forum. I almost never post here.
I mean, I want to remove 30-days limitation, not removing HTC Navigation Premium from the phone.
Thanks!
Piracy huh?

It's been a while since I've visited this forum. As an ex G1 owner and since September a DHD owner, I'm a little somewhat out of the game.
I successfully rooted my G1 basically just to get the phone to function and have not rooted the DHD as of yet, as its met my needs well ( upto now ).
I've searched and searched for info on rooting and am gutted to learn I can't use a one click method as the phone is nand locked.
I'm hoping to put his out to you guys, not for the easiest option, but as I'm very rusty with whole rooting thing, I'm hoping you can advise me on which you think is the safest, most stable and worthwhile.
Also, is there any difference in root options as per where you reside ( I.e. UK, US ) as to which downloads needed to root?
Thanks for any help guys

this is that you should to do for obtain superuser permission (root):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841076
visionary Rxx its the most secure option to root your device,, it´s a "one click" tool and works with 1.32xxx versions of official firmwares..
if you have an upper version, browse "how to downgrade" in the bar of above
if you have android 2.3.3 via OTA, browse about "gingerbreak"
cheeerssss
Thanks man, so it doesn't matter which tool I use for a UK phone?
Downgrading shouldn't be a problem, its just obtaining the right files I guess. Thanks again

Correct. But if you have problems with one method try the other. For example, try the one click methods first but if you get stuck try the full command line style methods.
Ok, my personal preference would be to follow the long hand method as detailed on the cyanogenmod wiki. Reasons being that using visionary is unnecessary so why do it ,secondly if you do it long hand and it fails, unlikely as that is you'll know where and hopefully why, thirdly I like the geek factor off doing it the awkward way. This will work fine on a UK DHD as it's how miner was rooted.
Duplicate post, sorry

My phone is on a t mobile contract, but doesn't have any branding on the phone itself or the screen on boot up. Am I right in thinking I can bypass the goldcard part for rooting?

Nicely said. I'm with you Nightshadow931.
I don't know what some people think and do with their lives...
We're in a forum with tons of info, still their first post is a public announcement of lazyness and bad reading/writing skills.
I would pay to work at HTC just to reply to such dumb messages...
Me too. A work at htc is good i think. Maybe anyone become work

Ok Ok..
To everyone that commented rudely in reply to this guys post.. YOU can go learn to read and write. Telling someone else that they are not good at something is a very good indicator that you are lacking in something yourself. Next time, instead of stopping your oh so important lives to be disrespectful, go stick your phone where the sun doesn't shine and leave others alone.
You uave registered an account to say us this?
He can read and then he see, that this al say in other threads. No new is needed, that is trash.

Guys, calm down.We all feel the same for HTC and their lovely support.
I,like the most of you, bought WS just two months ago and find out the hard way how they treat customers who bought mid range devices.

Clearly english is not the guys first language so cut him some slack....

I don't think you can move cash anywhere unless in and out of your pocket or bank account.
But as for cache you could move it by applying many of a2sd scripts that are being mentioned at least once every hour on this board, however with this post I will assume that your knowledge might not allow you to apply any scripts as yet until you read forum rules and get at least some basic knowledge on what you are taking about.

Use this application unless you already have APPS2SD in your ROM.

Erm buy a phone with NFC?!
If you want to move some cash I have lots of emails from some really helpful people in Nigeria who can probably help you ....
Somehow use a2sd script (please correct me if I'm wrong)
And wrong section!!!

This is one of the funniest posts i've ever seen.
It's not a dumb question, but it looks like it
would some moderator please move this?
Try again.
Well, this is a bit of a "crazy" question - I am unsure if I have successfully fixed my Wifi. I used THIS Guide to fix it (used alu foil). But my question is: is this a permanent fix or just a temporary?
I can give my HTC to a service center on friday and maybe they can repair it (if they dont discover that I have opened it before of course )
What do you think? Leave it like it is now? Or get it to HTC?
Thanks
Robin
It should be permanent.
HTC won't fix your phone because it has been opened.
EDIT: I should've thought before posting. I meant permanent. Derp.

if it was opened so that they don't see it, that it was opened then they would repair it...but if there are noticeable things that they know it was opened then yes not
haha read email and thought "Damn it, just temporary". checked thread and thought "wow I am lucky!" )
Thanks Then I dont need to give it to HTC I think.
Hi everyone,
I am new in the modding world of android and i am enjoying myself to try different ROMS on my HOX.
I think that me, like a lot of other people, have the problem of wifi signal: the HARDWARE problem.
Everybody of us know that the problem is joined to hardware because when we press between the camera and the volume up of our phone with ours fingers the signal goes up.
QUESTION:
Is there the method to make return our One x with the LOCKED signature in order to have no problem with htc warrently?
I would like to have a specifical guide, not a general guide if it is possible, because i read somewhere that there is an idea of the operation, or that someone have sent is phone in Russian for to relock with the LOCKED signature, but i've never found a good guide like for example the good guide of the installation of a rom.
If someone could help me I would be very grateful for it.
Thanks =)
Not possible without s-off even then not sure anyone knows what to change

yeah, that's going to cost you money though. Might as well open it up and use solder or foil fix like I did.
So you have been able to make return one x soff or you sent it abroad?

There are services that offer you to soff if you send them your phone.
I wouldn't trust it, shipping your phone around the world just to soff honestly not worth the risk.
Even if you got it back to locked they still have Imei number when you unlocked.
