^ what's draining my battery?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App

Lot of things can be. Having wifi on when your not using it is a battery killer, having GPS on when not using it is a battery killer. Bad kernal/rom combos can kill your battery faster.
Need a lot more information that what you gave.
Rom, Kernal, do you use anything like setCPU etc?

This, and the only app that I know that is draining is kik messenger (use autoatarts to ensure it doesn't start without my permission). Also maybe Yahoo Mail?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App

Haven't a lot of apps that are constantly syncing can also kill battery life. Gmail, Facebook, Twitter and widgets. If you can minimize things like that you should see a significant increase in battery life

try loading spare parts to see if you can dig into more data, otherwise its kind of tough to figure that out

Those are what I discovered. What do they mean? Thanks for reminding me about Spare Parts, got my window animation back..
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App

Your KiK messenger has the most wake, meaning its partially keeping your phone from sleeping while the screen is off. You can try force closing it from applications.

So the best thing to do it's when I'm done using it to use system panel and end it? And I notice wifi never turns off. This kills the battery?

The problem is your PRI/Radio while using RLS4 which was made for the previous PRI and Radio. Try upgrading to RLS5.

Ok so upgrade the radio and leave the pri? And myn's 5 of course, is this correct?

Myns Rls 5 +latest radio +latest pri+ netarchys toast 4.3.1=battery bliss

There's 4.3.1? And flashing the radios didn't let me boot up at all. I had to nandroid restore to my backup. I need help.

i'd say on my setup.. .4g is the worst...i roll with Btooth, and GPS always on.. and still get superior battery life!

First thing you should do is wipe dalvik and cahce. Do you use clockwork or amon-ra recovery
Sent from my WiMax infested cm7 Super...Mario...Saiyen...Street Fighter...oh yeah SuperSonic.gginggerbread!!!

I usually wipe cache partition, then dalvik, does that make a difference? Also I was able to use clockwork but I switched to amon because it was recommended in the myn's warm two point two thread.

Yeah it don't matter what order you wipe in just as long as you wipe. I use amon-ra also and I wipe dalvik and cache 3times each before rebooting. And from you pics above it looks like you have the updated radio and prl.so I would also just try flashing rls5. But make sure you wipe.

You could switch to MIUI I get a few days on a charge

Hmmm, never tried wiping more than once. I'll try it when I get home. I went back to 4 because of the browser slowness even after the flashed 4 host file.

First, make a nandroid backup. Then, back-up all your apps/data using titanium backup and just wipe everything (data, cache, etc..) and reflash the rom. if 4g works, restore all your apps and data and you should be good to go. if not, then try flashing another rom. i'd recommend mikfroyo, fresh, or myns if you want a sense rom, and cyanogen 7 wimax if you want an AOSP rom. if your 4g STILL isn't working after that, then make sure your area actually has 4g coverage (use a friends phone or something, just because the sprint site says your city has 4g doesn't mean the area you're in definitely has it). if that doesn't work, then you have a problem.
Use Mikfroyo 4.5 and roll back to radio 1.77 and get sbc 131. This is the best combo I have used so far. Battery life and performance is awesome. I have hardware version 002.

text messages not sending and taking an incredibly long time to either fail or send

ok so im running cm7 rc4
ive noticed if i text like 3 messages in a row or 2 basically more than one they take a looonnnnggg time to send or most of the time fail never had this problem befor
i also use go sms pro right now
and ive flashed back to a sense rom yest to update the prl
and same problem still
any help? or anyone know what could be causing vthe issue
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Stop using go sms, delete it and see if the stock app lags also. I've heard of 3rd party sms apps causing issues many times.
P.S. This is the longest thread title I've ever seen lol.
lol yeahh i was at dunkin donuts tryna write this up quick.
i did that when i had handcent i got rid of it for like 2days.
so not to sure what might be causing this
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Hmm yeah best I can recommend is stock like said above.
Those 3rd party apps for sms don't always play nice man. I personally in the past have had issues with sms/mms on handcent and go sms. Once I got rid of both my problems were gone! Maybe you should hit up recovery and wipe dalvik-cache.
hmm yeah i think ill try again ugh jus hate how bright the stock sms is gna try n find a theme maybe.

And yet again, this is why I hate clockwork lol. I use amon ra 2.3 it always wipes whatever I tell it to. Would you rather use amon ra? I can post a link that will let you flash a new recovery in 2 mins!
Try turning the phone completely off, power on it by holding the power button and volume down at the same time. Then when the white screen with the androids appear use the volume down to select recovery and hit the power button. This should take you to recovery.
yeah i tried still no luck.

Yes it does backup wimax you just have to put a check in. Here I'm going to put a package here for you to download and put on the root of your sdcard. Boot your phone the same way I told you earlier and it will ask do you want to flash the pc36img.zip. Select yes and it will flash your recovery. Reason you can boot into recovery is because its missing.

Use the Tiamat kernel. I'm able to get 19hrs at 55% left, without the sbc kernel. Also there are additional undervolting scripts for it.
1. You've told this before. I just switched to it so that should help. I'm a bit uneducated at UV though.

Nice.
Under volting allows the cpu to draw less power, and still operate. The Tiamat kernel is intially undervolted to I believe 950mv. With the additional scripts, you can drop it further. All devices should be able to get away with 25 or 50mv. The 75 and 100 are more aggressive and may not work for you. Best is to backup your rom, flash the 100 and work your way down. If you get bootloops, or you phone shortly freezes after booting, go 1 step down; you're phone can't handle it then. Here's a link to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1028322

EVO AOSP Problems (LAG)

All AOSP Roms I flash (SalvageMod, CyanogenMod, EvoDeck) have a homescreen lag, and someother problems. MIUI too. I do not know why. I am s-off, on Cwm 3.0, and have tried the Amon? Recovery. No help. I still have an apparent lag. This happens on stock kernels or even tiamits, so... IDK. Please Help
Hmmm. Try deck 1.2.1. Update to all the latest gbread radio and pri... Wipe all x3 including battery stats...not worth arguing lol. Flash deck, flash Google apps, flash savaged zen 2.2.1 cfs SBC. Reboot and smile. Use setcpu if u want but try on demand gov at 998 Max for a day or so. I do major crap on my phone and left gbead sense due to battery life. W this setup I am achieving 20+ rough hours on this thing. I am satisfied. Extended battery. Stock battery would get me about 10. I am considered a heavy user lol. Dl the rom you want over wifi and don't trust ur 3g to get you thru.I use the latest cwm and have no issues.

Ewww hard to say there. I have heard residual **** on SD cards could give issues too. Have you copied your SD to a PC. Then wipe the card. Dl just the rom and gapps and kernel and then wipe wipe wipe then install. Worth a shot. If it runs great leave all that **** on ur PC in a folder and begin anew.

Ill try the sd card cleaning when I get back. As for partioning im not sure what you mean. I just got the phone on monday . It is really annoying though. And the Lag is just unbearable.
I understand. Monday eh? Flashing away lol. Deck has been the most stable for me but every phone is different. I was getting keyboard lag on deck and I believe it could be the built in overclock. I added setcpu. If it starts to lag autodetect frequency when it does it and it should pick back up. Also try on demand and leave vm heap at 32 to test. Mine last few days hasn't had any lag at all. Running great. I have 40+ apps installed and really run my Evo hard. Its the best phone I have ever owned and really is impressive. Hopefully you can work it out.

I am very unsure how to help at this point. Only real option for u is a full reflash to stock. Test. Then start looking at doing roms. I have owned my Evo since October and have flashed many if not all roms to test since I used unrevoked in November. My phone has been amazing and any little bugs I worked out easily. I hope u get it fixed but really if you are wiping correctly you shouldn't be having issues. Have u tried amon RA recovery? I do not use it as I have never had an issue w clockwork. Might be something to look into.

I was kinda wondering this myself, although I haven't had any problems with tiamat. I just made sure I did a nandroid backup before I flashed a new kernel, figuring I could always restore the backup and the cm7 kernel along with it.
Als, for what it's worth, I've had great luck and a noticeable performance bump running JDKernel, might want to try that bad boy if tiamat isn't doing it for you.

Yeah I also got my hands on that jd kernal. I was looking to find the cyanogen kernal cause I hit 3277 in a quadrant score. OK well I guess if it's not broke I don't have to fix it. If anyone comes across a stand alone caynogen kernal I would love to check it out. And yes miui does come with it but I don't want to reinstall and lose all my settings. My nandroid backup is with tiamat kernal...which is fine. Jd kernal also seems good.

Just flash your Rom without wiping. As long as its the same Rom all you will lose is the kernel.

Nightly 56
Great to be a part of the DInc II world.
S-OFF went fine, clockwork went manually ok, nandroid OK, downloaded 56 and MD5 sum matched, coppied nightly 56 to sd card and turned unit off, did the vlo down + power to get hboot then flashed the nightly 56 and got the dizzy boy on a boot loop.
Was I supposed to track down a kernel to go with the nightly or what?
Looking for a ROM with a kernel included..
Thanks...
Cm 7 does include a Kernel. Did you do a wipe before flashing CM 7?
I would recommend doing a complete wipe and reflash CM 7. That should get you up and running, then you can flash Tiamat or a JD Kernel.
Welcome to the world of the Dinc2!
