Is it just me or is Cm7 not showing under rom manager? I know nightlies show but for the longest time cm7 hasn't been showing. It shows the title but when I click it I get a plane black screen
Sent from my Incredible 2 3D using XDA App

I get the same thing. Have been using the nightlies. Newest one rocks my face off.

The CM7 folder is for stable releases and there is no stable release for the DInc 2. Only nightlys.

Hey guys..I'm running miui and I recently tried out tiamat kernal and I'm not really liking it. I feel like I had better battery life. My problem is that I can't find the cyanogen kernal anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction? I don't want to reinstall miui.

I may be wrong but I believe miui uses cm's kernel. Unless it changed in 1.9.9

I was kinda wondering this myself, although I haven't had any problems with tiamat. I just made sure I did a nandroid backup before I flashed a new kernel, figuring I could always restore the backup and the cm7 kernel along with it.
Als, for what it's worth, I've had great luck and a noticeable performance bump running JDKernel, might want to try that bad boy if tiamat isn't doing it for you.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA App

Yeah I also got my hands on that jd kernal. I was looking to find the cyanogen kernal cause I hit 3277 in a quadrant score. OK well I guess if it's not broke I don't have to fix it. If anyone comes across a stand alone caynogen kernal I would love to check it out. And yes miui does come with it but I don't want to reinstall and lose all my settings. My nandroid backup is with tiamat kernal...which is fine. Jd kernal also seems good.

Just flash your Rom without wiping. As long as its the same Rom all you will lose is the kernel.

Nightly 56
Great to be a part of the DInc II world.
S-OFF went fine, clockwork went manually ok, nandroid OK, downloaded 56 and MD5 sum matched, coppied nightly 56 to sd card and turned unit off, did the vlo down + power to get hboot then flashed the nightly 56 and got the dizzy boy on a boot loop.
Was I supposed to track down a kernel to go with the nightly or what?
Looking for a ROM with a kernel included..
Thanks...

Cm 7 does include a Kernel. Did you do a wipe before flashing CM 7?
I would recommend doing a complete wipe and reflash CM 7. That should get you up and running, then you can flash Tiamat or a JD Kernel.
Welcome to the world of the Dinc2!

The most stable ROM

I know that Roms can technically differ from phone to phone as far as stability goes. But in truth I have not found a true daily driver. Its either a radio issue here, MMS issue there. Its insane. Never had this much trouble with Roms on my Atrix. I blame it on the ff18 kernel.
Anyways, my question is what's you're daily? What's the most stable ROM for you and your e4gt?

I recently rooted and flashed my E4GT with CM9 alpha6: Android 4.0.4, but after trying it for a week I'm finding that this ICS rom doesn't quite seem ready for daily use. Issues: Camera error "insert an SD card", Apollo's Equalizer never worked (no change at all), after calls it has error "unfortunately DSPManager has stopped", GPS stopped working on day 2, just keeps searching for GPS, battery life is only so-so, I get about 6 hours if I'm lucky, and then there is the random force-closing of programs (stock SMS especially) and weird "ghost" Menu Button presses. WHEW!
After a quick One-Click Odin back to GB Stock pretty much everything is working again, except GPS, not sure what that's about, but I'm going to wait a while before using ICS as my daily ROM. I don't mind a little tweaking once in a while, but that was too many issues to be messing with.
Just flashed back to Blazer GB v4.0, it's great.

You should probably download and flash again because I haven't had anything bad happen to me while running CM9. My camera works, no ghost buttons, no force closes, no call problems, great battery life (best I've ever had on any ROM), etc.

For the GPS issues, there's a fairly well documented fix for that. Just use the temporary gingerbread rom, get a fix, then re-flash ICS.

im running the ics blazer rom with the ff18 modem is there a better modem and or rom... i love this rom but still wanna see if there is better ones mainly modem though

What's your FAVORITE E4GT rom?

Just like the title says, it can be a gb/ics/jb rom, doesn't matter.
What's the rom that keeps you running back?
What's been the most reliable/fastest rom?
For me personally I have to say CM10 because I love JB. Coming in at a close second would be the Blu Kuban.
Aaaaand go....
I really liked Codename JB rom but the battery life wasn't good enough for everyday use. I know I will be back on that rom soon. In the meantime I have been on a vanilla aosp ICS rom for the past few weeks. Longest I have been on anything.

I didnt want to clutter up the other thread with a different kernels mixed in with the current code. This thread is going to remain stock or closed to.
I was thinking of Optimizing the stock clock tables and voltage (mabey adjustable VDD) I still dont feel the need to over clock, so thats the way it will stay for awhile. Lets see how close to Linux mainline we can get!
SOURCE
Check Commits for changelog, It's pretty straight forward that way.
Nice work! Does this play well with custom ROMs, or just stock and stock-based?

tears and sad face... eagerly awaiting someone to become our aosp kernel master.... you got the chops for it surprised you havent ran with the ball yet...with the multitudes of aosp roms popping up for use it would be ideal.... ive given it a look into doing it fo the eco mode kernel but is extremely confusing... so much props to you bud... thanks for the fantastic kernels

not a fan of smoocha?
I was running your Liberty Kernel 127 and flashed this a couple days ago. Since then, sometimes when i hit the Home button to return to the Home screen it won't go there until i manually put it there, then it works fine again. Doesn't make sense for just changing the kernel.
Im running Vectus V2. Anybody else seeing this?
Thanks again for doing all this work with both kernels.

I have no issues since flashing this kernel. My battery life has improved it seems.

No I'm a big fan of the smoocha in fact I've referred almost everyone to use it.... But was hoping evo could produce the eco mode kernel for aosp then I could just build team lgog kernel into all my builds and not have to worry about errors trying to build the eco myself.... Sounds selfish I guess but is how I think

If anyone wants to build the new source its on github. I'll try to get one here soon. Its patched pretty good from kernel .org. some patches were skipped due to breaking drivers but all in all its pretty complete and up to 3.4.51. I'll get it up to 3.4.55 asap
