Weird one here - every now and then when i go in to the settings page the screen is all scrambled, with the text all repeated and overlaid all over the screen. Only resolution is to reset and then everything is back to normal.
Any ideas?

I've searched, but couldn't find anything about this.
When I open the keyboard when replying to a text message sometimes the text reply box partially disappears off the bottom of the screen and you can only see the top line. Annoyingly it stays like this until I soft reset.
Does anyone have any solution for this?
I've had this same error since WM 5, through 6.1, and still on 6.5. I was very disappointing to see this bug was not fixed, its such a stupid problem.
It's not a fix but instead of soft reseting just push the keyboard icon on the screen to bring up the keyboard, then push it again and the size will adjust
I don't know if this is the same issue i get from time to time but what happens on mine is that i am able to see at lease part of the field when i input my text but when it goes past that one line it doesn't automatically scroll down so i don't know what i am typing anymore. what i do when that happens is that i go to my task manager and I stop the text messaging; when i bring it back up it is back to normal.
I get all kinds of weird things that happen in the landscape txt screen. YOur problems, and sometimes the right half of the screen will go spastic and show an inverted, backwards, distorted, partial view of the contact photo. Or the right half of the screen will look, well, scrambled, for lack of better description...
Sometimes just tapping in the entry box will fix it.
Other times I will switch to landscape, start to type on the HW keyboard only to find that it only registered the first few characters of what I wrote. I then have to tap the entry area before starting to type again

for the last problem about you having to tap int he entry area before you start typing you can try this fix. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=479717 i haven't installed the latest version but it work perfectly for me.

Is there a way to disable the on-screen keyboard from auto-opening?..Seems like that would resolve the issue.

I've had the exact same issue since getting my Tytn II when it very first came out, on the official software Orange and on my new TP2 with NRG's Photon Rom running 6.5. I can confirm that flicking the on screen keyboard on and then off rectifies the problem everytime. I don't know what causes the issue and it doesn't happen with every message a slight annoyance but opening and closing the on screen keyboard is better then soft resetting
Some thoughts on my HTC One X: I love this phone it's amazing however there are 3 little issues I have encountered .
1. Video recording constantly goes out of focus (i upload and unboxing video of the HTC Bluetooth speaker and you can see the camera issues there).
2. Text message notifications do not work properly if at all, on three occasions I missed txt mssg because I didn't get a notification, I only saw them when I was looking up a contact or by browsing through my widgets.
3. The menu button is placed in the top right corner for many apps which forces you to reach for it,this button should have been placed in the bottom of the display for more convenience since that is where you hold the phone from.
Finally, while typing this, I realized that when using text trace, if you notice a word was mis typed after moving forward you cannot just double tap to get word suggestions or remove it,you have to back space the whole word. I hope HTC can issue a software update to address these issues.the sooner the better

1. That's Constant Auto focus, just turn it off in settings.
2. Reset your phone, I have no issue with Text notifications.
3. That's nothing to do with the phone, it's the way the App Implements the Menu button.

I actually have the same text notifications problem that its not automatically pushed, even i tried resetting my phone several times but after some time this problem starts again, i just now tried deleting my messages and emptying the inbox, so far its working fine now without resetting the phone.
Black HTC One X - Stock
If you look at the upper right hand corner of my home screen, you will see that the information box which shows time, battery percentage is fuzzy and shows overlapping different information.
That information box works perfectly when it appears on all other screens.
How can I correct it on the home screen?
Does it happen in portrait and landxcape?
Are you rooted, maybe something you installed
Try a factory reset
Interesting comment.
I discovered it only appears in landscape.
No, I have not rooted the tablet.
You've accidentally taken a screen shot and then set that as the background.... go and check your wallpaper settings.
Been there, done that, albeit on my s4!

That solved the problem.
Thanks, I also clicked thanks
So i just got my phone back from service. I had a white spot on the screen. They fixed it by replacing the motherboard. It'll all fine and dandy right there. But i noticed i could not pull down the notification bar in potrait mode. While switching to landscape it works. This sounds like a hardware issue but im not sure. Is there a way to test the screen?... if a move a widget to the top of the screen from my homescreen. The screen detects it's up there.. so i guess the touch is ok?
The service took about 4 weeks so i hope i don't have to send it in again
I've tried resetting the phone (clean install)
UPDATE: Sent it back for another 4 weeks of service..
Hello
To make a touch screen test follow these steps:
1- open the phone dialer and dial this number *#*#3421#*#*
2- Choose accept, that will take you to a hardware test page
3- Choose touch screen line draw test.
Thank you
i have the same issues its software and gets fixed automatically
but there should be a solution
I just received my brand new HTC 10 today and I have the exact same problem as you.
I am unable to pull the notifications bar after I unlocked the phone in portrait mode. However I can pull the notifications bar while the phone is still locked AND when the phone is unlocked and rotated to landscape mode.
I have tried factory resetting my phone and upgrading to the latest software but the problem still persists.
What should I do?

It's a screen issue. Do a line sensor test from the help app

I had this same issue. I ended up with a warranty replacement because it is a hardware issue. The first replacement I got actually had the same issue, but it was even worse. It was the entire top inch and a half of the screen. The second replacement I got was good to go.
I think about that, but i've a little crack screen in the corner on top so im thinking they told me that is my fold, or im wrong and they change my screen ? I can see that not only my problem
Same issue, my previous phone was overheating in the top part of the phone which killed the digitizer at the end. You need a replacement phone
