Anyone figure out how to set blue/red/purple notifications? - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone figured out how to customize the notifications colors?
So for example, the blue light would flash for email, red for texts, purple for missed calls/voicemail.
I remember reading a thread a few weeks ago, but it wasn't resolved. Is this another 'wait for the 2.2 source code' deals?

Purple? I have not seen a purple one yet my lights are blue for texts and emails and red for missed calls

Blue led + red led = purple

Like XOBX said, purple is just blue and red together. It looks purple, but there is not a purple light. My notifications are always red; whether it's a missed call, voicemail, email, or text. It kind of stinks.

On the OG epic, if you set the notification colors in most apps to GREEN it would light up PURPLE (RED+BLUE). I haven't tried it yet on my Epic Touch but just thought I'd throw it out there. And none of the flashing modes would work on that phone either...

OK, just confirmed led colors in handcent. They're the same as the OG Epic, only two LEDs RED and BLUE. For notifications:
GREEN = purple (or magenta) for the notification LED
BLUE = blue
RED= red
Has anyone figured out magenta on the app Lightflow? I tried green but nothing.

The blue and red lights work once set but dont blink. I guess this isnt as perfect as I thought.

Yeah...data speed bites. Here's hoping something happens with that soon!
I got it to blink red only, and red solid, and blue solid using go sms. I did "custom" color sliders to white for blinking red. Works even when plugged in.

[Q] Notification LED: Purple light anyone?

Happy Holidays everyone!
I've read through some of the older threads on how to control out LED notification light using Lightflow and Blink and found that there are only 3 different settings:
Red: red LED, slow blink/constant on
Blue: blue LED, slow blink/constant on
White: red LED, fast blink (most useful in my opinion for notification)
Has anyone been able to get their LED to flash purple yet (besides during reboots)? This will require the red and blue LEDs to be on simultaneously but I've played all day in Blink and Lightflow and have not been able to do this. If you have, please let me know what program you're using and what settings you have.
Thanks everyone!
You have to use green for purple. Weird, but that's how it works

Sad - I wasn't able to get the purple LED by selecting green in Lightflow or Blink. Anyone else successful?f
Sounds like something that could be done using tasker, but I wouldn't know the codes.

Stock LED colors

I know that many of you use the app light flow to control you led notification colors, but I'm trying to avoid using it as it drains battery power.
I noticed that when I get an email from Facebook, my led turns blue (no Facebook app installed) and I just received an email from eBay which turned the led green. I haven't seen any others except the white notification.
Does anyone have a list of stock led colors that don't require extra apps?

Question on the Nexus' text notifcation...

As you know when you first receive a text the white "orb" at the bottom of the screen flashes. But on my phone it just flashes once. Is that normal? Also anytime I get a text, I only get one text sound and just the one flash. Is there a way to have the "orb" pulse every 20 seconds or something?
The "orb" is a notification LED.

Use it to manage the light, and not the sounds (just messes things up).

The light does continue to flash for me using handcent. Color blue so i know its a text.

[Q] AT&T s3 customize notification LED?

My main beef with the notification LED is that it blinks way to slowly, i have to stare at it for like 10 seconds to see if i have a text or not.
Light flow appears to not be compatible, as it causes the LED to be solid green whenever my screen is off (even if there's no notification), and Light manager partially works, (does not blink, and color is off)
Are there any other apps out there? I really just want to make it blink faster (frequency control)
Yours blinks? Mine stays on solid when I have any sort of notification. (Missed call, text, email, voicemail, etc...)

hmm strange, u have stock at&t galaxy s3?
i'd never want mine to stay solid, i'd imagine there would be a significant drop in brightness after a few months, especially if i got a notification after i went to bed and it were on all night.

Yupp, all stock. And LEDs don't normally get dimmer until they are about to actually go out. Which takes a long long time. It's not like an incandescent lightbulb.
when i miss an email mine is solid green. miss a kik message solid purple. miss text message blinks blue.
I didn't configure any of this and can't even see how to.... I thought the system just was realizing different apps notify and changing it up.
interesting, my LED flashes blue for every type of notification, it just flashes like once every 8 seconds, which is just too slow.
Mine is solid as well, red when charging, blue for emails, and purple for almost everything else. I have a white phone as well.
If there are multiple notifications, it will pulsate through the different colours.

You can change the settings in Kik to get one of like 3 colors I think. I have mine set to white in Kik and it actually does come out white. I think the other two that work are red and blue. Pretty sure green is the only one that doesn't work.
