[Q] No call volume on Kaiser? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Android Development

Ok, I don't know why but with a Haret install with the same zImage and build Fat Free Froyo as the NAND install, there is no call volume or media volume at all.
I mean they're there, but don't work. Sometimes hear someone on the other end in Android, but they never hear me.
What I have used is on the main page with the devil sign (my contribution). I can't see why it would be any different.
I had a NAND install of the same kernel and build before, but NAND started to corrupt too much so went to a Haret SD install. I never had any problems apart from lack of ipv6 support, but sod it. I reflashed the phone with the WM 6.1 ROM. I can't remember the filename (or find where I grabbed it from), but the ROM details are:
R 1.27.12.11
G 22.45.88.07H
D 1.56.00.00
Note: I did have the latest HardSPL as well. Could the radio have been version-lowered to fook up Android?
Any help appreciated!!!

Your RADIO version is wrong for Android.
Try 1.65.xx.xx or 1.71.09.01

Hmm....it was 1.65....is it possible that while reflashing WM that it downgraded the radio ROM (and probably other things)? I checked in the bootloader and I still have HardSPL 3.34
KAIS130
SPL-3.34.hard
CPLD-8
shows up in the tri-colour screen.
So if that's the case, it's just a simple radio rom reflash??

Pretty Much Bricked (please Help!!!)

Hey guys. I really , really , really, (can't emphasize that enough), need your help. I flashed my Vogue about a week ago with the 19588 ROM using PPC Geeks Kitchen.
I ended up having to do a warranty exchange because my volume button came a little loose. Well, I went to Flash back to the Stock Alltel ROM, the one that is on the HTC site, thats linked on this page, the one I always use, and now I'm screwed.
It makes it to 43 percent and says theres a communication error. The really weird thing is, I can flash any other ROM to the phone, just not the Alltel ROM. Below , I've listed what I've tried, so you get an Idea. I'm beggin you to help me out here.
*I started out with CokeMan 2.31 , and the 19588 Cooked PPCGeeks Kitchen ROM.
*After the first 5 failed attempt to flash the Alltel ROM, I flashed CokeMan v0.41, and then flashed Mustangs Clean ROM w/o GPS. (this is when I figured out other ROM's will work)
*I re-downloaded the Alltel ROM from HTC's website 6 times, and have tried it on three separate computers and no luck.
*I tried almost ten different ROM's , and each time tried flashing the Alltel ROM afterwords.
*I extracted the Alltel ROM to a folder. Downloaded a blank RUU folder. Copied all of the files from the alltel folder to the RUU folder. (All of the files that were in the Alltel Folder, and not in the RUU folder.) It actually flashed all the way thru, but is now stuck at the HTC screen, and says NO RADIO at the bottom. I just stopped trying, and now am turning to the PPC Gods, you guys. SO PLEASE HELP ME OUT. I have to sent the thing back by monday, or they charge me.
I've always been able to flash to the Alltel ROM from and ROM i've ever used, and never had this trouble before in my PPC life. It always just relocks the phone.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!
flash using the sd card
Sounds like you've flashed the f*** out of that phone, suprised it didn't overheat ! Anyways, try the SD method. Also, what radios have you been adding on, or originated with on the ROM you had when you first started.
Also, I'll be quite honest, if I had to return the phone for any reason and couldn't flash back, I'd probably break it to pieces and say it was run over!
how to use SD anyone? please? ive never tried
does it really matter what ROM is on there ...if your having a button problem? You obviously didn't cause the issue because of the ROM.

Whoa! Never seen this before! If you change the ROM you completely void your warranty.

1. Format your MicroSD card to FAT32 (YES - FAT 32 32 32!! not just plain old FAT) (again, this is not required if your card is already fat32; it is ok to have other data on the card). I have read that the card needs to be 2gb or smaller, though I'm not sure how much truth, if any, there is to that...
2. Extract the .NBH you desire to flash from the exe or zip or w/e put it on the microsd card rename it from RUU_signed.nbh to VOGUIMG.NBH
3.Put the MicroSD card in your phone and Get To the BOOTLOADER screen (camer+power+reset) it should then start updating with the .NBH on the SD card and the procedure should begin automatically.
quoted from here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17473
and also, like the champ said, what radios have you flashed?
EDIT: and, which alltel rom are you trying to flash? if you were reverting back to a non-gps/lower radio rom, you did make sure to downgrade the spl properly using these instructions here correct?

good luck man!!
If you can't flash it, make sure to make it so it can't even start up... you need to completely brick it so it can't get to the bootloader, just not even turn on. Then you can blame HTC and get a new one

You can't be serious with this, right? The idea here is to fix it, not blame HTC, because I'm sure that would go over real smooth with the carrier.

If it's bricked and you have insurance, wrap your Touch in a damp cloth, put it in the microwave on high for 2 seconds, and voila!

Well that sounds like a horrible idea! Lol I mean if it has to be done then yeah just go to a GPS ROM and then flash back and it will brick and you can send it in if you have TEP from Sprint or something.. But first I think he wants to FIX the phone not destroy it and start over
My touch is also bricked. It boots to the Sprint logo and stops there.
What do you mean a button problem.
My Touch's green and red buttons stopped working before updating. But the phone still worked. After updating the ROM, even the phone stop working.
Could you please elaborate on this?

Hard SPL not working?

So I'm having problems installing Hard SPL (Olinex Unsigned). The phone is connected w/ Active-sync to my computer, and all of those required "steps" to check before you begin flashing were there. It takes just a few seconds for the HardSPL to install, and it says "congratulations...", so I assumed it went well. However, when it boots up, it says NOTHING about Olinex. Instead, when I'm on the boot screen, it has red letters, the lower ones stating my normal ROM build. It looks like:
R 1.00.25.5
G 1.52.29.25.12H
D 1.93 ...
I assume this is the bootloader? I held the lower volume button and hit the soft reset button to get to the bootloader, and that was the same screen it went to. However, then the ROM boots up on the phone, and it's the same intro screen as my initial ROM was. When I proceed with trying to install the HardSPL again, it tells me my current ROM is 1.93.401.2.. not Olinex.' I also tried the SSPLmanual file. No good..
Also, I realized that when I ask for it to update, Mobile Device Center loses connection w/ my phone. Maybe I am just having a problem holding a connection between the two? Activesync is turned on on my phone, and Mobile Device Center says that my phone is connected before the flash.
Has anyone had this problem before, or know how I can fix it? Thanks everyone. I've been looking around everywhere.

I'm under the impression that you are not entering your bootloader screen. Please try this again (soft reset and ASAP, press the vol down button). Keep holding it until you see Red, Green, etc.(rainbow like coloured screen) .... please report back what it says on that screen before we move on.
wow.. I suppose that did the trick. AND it DOES say that it has Olinex on it, so I guess that installed w/o a problem! Thank, I really appreciate the help. Unfortunately, I've heard many different ways to get there (mainly hold vol-down THEN press soft-reset).
One last question though.. Now that I spent a good 30 minutes installing the list of those tweaks, would I really see much of an improvement jumping to a cooked ROM? I was looking at getting AZTOR or Nataly's lite (I'm not asking which one..), but I am not sure how much of an improvement I'm looking at. I'm currently running the stock ROM as 1.93 (I guess I'm running Olinex atm). Now that I've applied all of those tweaks from that one page, is it worth it to jump to a cooked ROM?
Thanks again! That makes my day seem MUCH more successful now.

haha, so you recommend I go ahead and push my luck w/ a 2.03 cooked ROM? Will I really have to worry about all of those tweaks, or will they already be optimized in the cooked roms? Again, I'm looking at 2 that are based off of performance, so I can expect they'll already be well-tweaked, but I'm new w/ all of this.

Hi I would but thats me. yes these roms are tweaked for performance.
make sure you have read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211
warning once you start to flash some roms it is hard to stop.
Hi have a look here to flash from the internal storage.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3287426&postcount=10
Lately I keep like 4 cooked roms in folder on my internal storage and when I feel the need to try a new rom I just copy it to root, change name and install OS from bootloader (volDown, backButton, resetButton).
That is my identical process. Sometimes they never make it to the flashing stage but always a couple on standby...lol

How to downgrade 6.5 to official HTC Diamond ROM???

Hi all,
I want to downgrade to 6.1 again after having 6.5 for about 2 days.
I'm experiencing audio issues, which I had before, I sent it to the service-center and it worked like a charm again.
So all I wan't to know is if it's possible to just download the official ROM from HTC.com and use theire RUU to downgrade. I'm a nooooob but I managed to install 6.5 pretty easily. But I don't know what hardSPL does etc. So i'm not totally sure if it's possible. Can anyone help with this. Having abolutely no audio is pretty anoying. Also searched the forum but found nothing usefull, allmost everybody comes to the conclusion that it's a hardware issue. Which is strange because why do I experience this after installing 6.5 and when I used 6.1 it worked.
Thanks in advance
Daan
Load from htc officel website new htc rom and flash of your diamond
when not funktion you cann extraxt the exe.file withe winrar and rename the nb file to diamimg.nbh and take this to root of your diamond hd and make soft reset and audio(-)and reback after push to on/off buttong

Ok, let me try. I guess someone will correct me if I'm wrong with what I say
First HardSPL won't let you flash original rom directly. It will block SPL flashing, to avoid relocking or messing up the phone. So, regarding your problem, I would first try to flash a 6.1 cooked rom to make sure that the problem is hardware, not software.
If it's hardware, here is what I did when I had to return my phone:
- First, "cook" an official rom: you have to extract nbh, take only os.nb, rebuild the nbh, flash it.
- Eventually, flash the official radio if you tried alternative radio, same goes for logo.
- After that, your mobile should be almost like official, the only remaining "suspect" is the HardSPL. You have to flash back one of the stock SPL provided here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2324829&postcount=39. It has to be done at the end, when everything else is back to stock.
Don't have much time right now to give more details, let me know if you need more...
Thanks a lot man i'm at work right know but i'll try it out as soon as i get home
thanks again

Just got home from work.
Like you said, I need to know if the problem is HW or SW since i've experienced this problem before, maybe it overheated or something I don't know. Anyhoo I flashed radio 1.11.25.01 and it seems to work fine now. But the funny thing is that when I flashed it with 6.5 there were no problems at all but after about 15 hours or so when I tried to put on some music... Silence!!! F***. So I hope this won't just repeat itself endlessly.
The reason why I tried flashing the radio first is that I kinda like 6.5. But well, if it's going to happen again i'll use your method.
Thanks for the reply, I'll keep you posted if anything weird happens

Strange. Yes, it could be overheating Or, maybe a radio crash ? If it happens again, you should try to remove the battery, wait a few seconds and put it back again.
Crossing fingers for you
The sun is Shining!
Well the audio is still working, I'm draining the battery to check if it's maybe a power problem, but so far I still have sound and my battery is down to two bars in the windows mobile power meter (not in the menu bar)
So I really hope radio 1.11.25.01 fixed my problem
I hope this is my last post on this thread and if it isn't, we'll just have to dig further
Thanks very much,

You just need to get a Radio rom which is 1.65 or higher (search for Kaiser Radio thread, it has all versions).
Rename the RUU_Signed.nbh to KAISIMG.NBH
Put in SD Card
Flash through bootloader (camera + poweron and then press Power button when asked)
i putted 3 colour boot screen and then installed it, I think this is the problem Tank you very mutch for ur help bro!
