[Q] Latest Froyo Odexed ROM needed - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am looking for an Odexed and untouched version of the Latest Froyo stock sense ROM for the HTC Droid Incredible. I saw that senior member rmk40 had a copy in the thread below but the link seems to be broken. Their is another link closer to the end of the thread but that's for the deodexed version. Any help that can be provided is appreciated.
Thread which had link: "[ROM] Stock Sense/Froyo v3.21.605.1 *Official* (Rooted, Odexed OR Deodexed) [9/30/10]"
Update: Never mind I believe I finally found a link within the thread that works.

This is a rooted ROM built off the official HTC Sense/Froyo v3.21.605.1 release (pulled from signed RUU), which is being rolled out by Verizon via OTA as the final build.
ROM Details:
Completely unmodified (odexed version) and sourced from RUU_Incredible_C_Froyo_VERIZON_WWE_3.21.605.1_Radi o_2.15.00.07.28_2k4k_NV_1.50_PRL58006_release_1433 51_signed.exe.
Includes all system components and full boot image.
Rooted with Superuser 2.3.4.
Nothing removed, odexed and deodexed+zipaligned versions both available here.
Installation:
You must be rooted, have nand unlocked and be running a 2.x radio. Follow dadicus' guide for details on how to perform these steps.
Perform a nandroid backup of your current ROM, in case you change your mind or encounter issues.
Apply the zip via Clockwork Recovery. It has not been tested with any other recovery.
If you are coming from another completely stock ROM (i.e. Sense 2.1 or 2.2), you may not have to wipe data. I obviously recommend wiping data (since it will eliminate any possibly bad/stale configuration), but the update script will not do so automatically during installation. Use your best judgement to determine what works best for you.
Disclaimer
As with any modification (ROM, patch, etc), you run the risk of damaging your device. While unlikely, it is important to consider this possibility before proceeding. I take no responsibility for any such damage, data loss or otherwise.

Help with RCMixHD

When i try to flash this kernel RCMixHD-2.6.32.28_HAVS.925_CFS_VR_v39.
My phone don´t boot up.
I have installed this rom RCS Mix HD or simply The HD ROM v2.0 D2EXT .
Anyone know why it does not work?
And why don't you just ask in the proper Thread? Another useless Thread popping Up...
Possible problems: SD not partitioned, kernel doesn't work with the Rom, try first boot and then flash the kernel etc. These are all possible solutions (just as your problem itself), that have already been posted hundreds of times in every ROM-Thread...
...via Tapatalk
More like why flash a 925mV kernel if you don't know this, when the appropriate thread is full of users with instability/bootloops due to the low voltage.

Flashing RCMixHD v1.6
Guys, I just had a very simple query about the RCMixHD ROM. I am on v1.5 and wanting to update to v1.6... Does it require a full wipe or can I flash it over the existing ROM?

Usually you can flash over existing version. But make backup before, just in case.

[Q] New to Android - Question about ROM's - Help a newbie!

Hi All,
I have finally after a couple of years decided to move away from the Apple iPhone and buy an Android handset. As such I bought the Desire HD which I absolutely love however I wanted to debrand it using the latest software.
What I did was use the Goldcard technique to Downgrade my phone. I did this succesfully and debranded my phone, however what I realised was that I am now running a older (debranded) software.
Can anyone please assist me by providing with me some steps so that I can flash my phone again with the latest stock HTC Desire HD rom (debranded - is there a link?) or a very stable new ROM? I wouldnt mind version 2.3 if its available... I'm with Vodafone Australia and this is a Vodafone handset.
I have been told that the Goldcard method isn't the best way to do it? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Please excuse my questions as I am very new and not very good with Linux. I am very technically minded so I can pick things up quickly but I need some guidance as I have no idea about half the stuff people talk about here....
If you want stock Desire HD rom, you can flash back the RUU (2.2 Froyo). If you like 2.3 Gingerbread, you can try Cyanogen Mod 7 custom rom.
But for the most stable & battery efficient , you can try android revolution hd rom, leedroid, core droid rom.
You can view the list of rom (and also step-by-step to flash it) at the development thread located here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=765

Hi, Thanks for the reply.
I used this guide to downgrade my Desire HD. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905003 - This debranded my phone which is what I wanted however I also realise it is not the latest build. Is this what you are you referring too when you say RUU 2.2 Froyo Rom?
If not, do you have a link to the one you are referring too?
That page you just linked to was for people who had the 1.72blahblah firmware, but wanted to downgrade to 1.32blahblah in order to root their phones.
The official firmware can be found on this page:
http://www.shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Ace
...and the latest available firmware is this:
RUU_Ace_HTC_WWE_1.72.405.3_R_Radio_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2_release_161342_signed.exe
thanks for that, now how do I flash this? I assume the same way I did it before?
With the stock RUU exes, you don't put them on your phone and flash via Clockwork (or whatever) like you do with custom ROMs. You run the exe from your PC with the phone connected via USB and HTC Sync.
There is a comprehensive guide somewhere on this site.

[Q] How to know a Froyo build's version?

Hi, everybody. Got an unusual question today:
Last wednesday I updated my Defy to Barebones v1.5 (did my SBF backup, don't worry) right from stock Eclair. I'm having ABSOLUTELY no issues with it, but today Motorola released the official Froyo here in Brazil.
Even though I trust my phone's life completely to XDA, I feel safer using an official firmware (if no additional features in custom ROMs tease me).
I can easily downgrade to 2.1 and update to the official ROM, but I have a specific need: 720p recording. With this mod I'm currently able to do so in Barebones, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to do so in the official firmware. As shown in the mod's thread, they currently support 3.4.2-117, 3.4.2-145 and 3.4.2-155 build versions.
So, my question is: is there any way I can find out the official firmware's version? If I won't be able to record in 720p (which is a indispensable feature for me, as a future vlogger), I won't update. The update comes as an executable (so I can't look into the ROM's files), so a database of official firmwares would be better.
Thanks in advance,
Gabriel

Flashing a new ROM, with updates

Noob question. I have been searching threads and could not find an answer.
I've been running PH's Blazer ROM v1.6 LG2 with an LF9 modem about 4 weeks now. I am wanting to flash SS's Team VeNuM Odexed Blue ROM, which is currently in v1.4 as of 8/16, because I want to get a taste of an Odexed ROM AND - I like blue
Here's my question:
Do I need to flash the first version of the new ROM, after a full wipe of course, and then flash the most recent update - OR - Can I simply flash the most recent update ROM?
If I need to flash the original first, do I need to flash each update, in sequential order - or can I simply go to the most recent update?
My Sprint SGS3 is my first Android device, which means my first rooting experience, which means I'm currently residing in noobopolis. I appreciate the support from the members of this forum, and their appreciation and understanding of the naïveté of a rooting virgin.
BTW - I am running CWM 3.0.7 & have ODIN3 v3.04. Do either of those need to be updated, prior to flashing?

I see no reason why you would have to mess with CWM or ODIN... as for flashing a different ROM, just flash the newest version of it. V1.4 in this case. Flashing an old version and then every updated version after that would be pointless. New versions are typically issues as a full ROM. Unless for some odd reason the dev is issuing them as small updates and not the full ROM, and I've never seen anyone do that.
If you flash that ROM and later a new version comes out, you can just flash the new one on top of it. Your first flash with Team Venum ROM should be the newest version.
Thank you!

Wonderful, thank you! I figured that was the case, but when you're dealing with an expensive device I'm more confortable performing some due diligence first - especially when the consequence of not doing so can have such a negative impact. My SGS3 is a beautiful device (when outside of my Otter Box Defender), but I'd rather not use it as a paper weight....
Of course, it's always good to get your facts first. As long as you follow instructions you shouldn't have issues. Make sure the ROM is for your device, read comments so you know what to expect etc... Stay informed and you will do well.

Just finished flashing Odexed Blue v1.4, no problems at all. Went ahead and used Team Sonic's Modem Flash tool as well & updated to LG8 modem.
Titanium Backup was a life saver, love that app!

deodexed stock rom?

Are there any deodexed stock ROMs? The main reason I went with the S4 is for all the TW features, but I do know that deodexing tends to save speed up some things (not to mention the google wallet fixes aren't for odexed MDL phones)

Here is a very excellent stock deodexed Touchwiz Jellybean 4.2.2 M919 Tmobile cwm/twrp flashable rom.
It is pre-rooted and has some of the bloatware removed. It is stock with stock theme and
only has a few enhancements most of which have to do with speed and functionality.
There are only two requirements you must have in order to flash this rom,
#1 your phone must be rooted, #2 you must have either twrp or cwm recovery installed.
Try it out, be sure to do a full wipe including Factory Reset in CWM/TWRP before you flash.
Good luck!

Not that I need it because I know how to browse the development forum and use the search function, but where is the link?
Also, feel free to browse the development forum and/or use the search function to assist you in finding a deodexed stock ROM. There are quite a few of them in the development forum and will all tell you if it is deodexed/stock in the OP.
