[Q] GPS on CM7, anyone get it working with a kernel?

i understand its an issue. dont bash me. however, i saw in some thread somewhere that someone got gps to work on it and i lost the location.

[Q] How to get MMS working?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a way to get MMS working on my dinc on metropcs. There is MetrOFF for the eris and MetroDroid for the evo, but I can't find something similar to this for the Incredible. Everything else is working just fine, I only need mms. If something like that doesn't exist (a .zip/ROM i can flash) then could someone point me in the right direction and show me where I could find help? I debated if this was Q/A or development, but I think this fits my problem better

Have you tried THISthread. It will work for your phone as well.

Yes I did, it just kept saying 'Sending' without nothing changing.

Yeah, I have calling, texting, and web working just fine. All I need is picture messaging. Any idea what part of that guide I should start at for MMS?

Installing radio to Darkside Evo 3 v7 issues

Hey guys!
Umm I'm having an issue installing the modded radio for DSE3 v7. When I try to install from sd in clockwork it aborts installation & says that it's bad.
Am I doing something wrong? My navigation app doesn't seem to be picking up my location even after I checked the box in settings to allow the gps to access it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Besides that issue the Darkside evo 3 rom is working just fine & is probably the best ics rom I've ever used.

Does the MD5 match? Have you tried re-downloading?

where do i check the MD5 to see if they match?
i downloaded the UVLE1 radio cause it matched my baseband version
im redownloading now on my pc to see if that fixes it. i downloaded the radio mod on my s2 last time....lets see if thats the reason.

hmmm i installed the radio mod this time with no issues but it still wont located my location im my navigation app/google maps. if i type in a direction it works just fine but to find my location it says that its temporarily unavailable.
going to try the UVLC8 radio mod

UVLC8 radio mod does the same thing.
my location seems to want to work whenever it feels like now. eh guess i just have to deal with it!

Yeah weird I also get the temporary unavailable when I use the navigation app.I'm using the uvle1 radio.

hey I think there is an app in the market called gps tools or something like that. try using that to recalibrate your gps maybe that will help. I know when I had myt g2x it had a problem with gps and I used that app and it made it much better. Also there is a thread in the dev section about getting a faster gps lock I have not checked it out because my gps is good right now but you guys should chck it out maybe there is something in there to help you. And the last thing I had seen something about changing the servewr that the gps uses to google and I did that on my g2x and that was what made it better than ever I mean 3 sec locks and super accurate. I dont know if this can be done for this phone though I know I had to do it in the hidden menu for the g2x. Maybe someone who knows this phone a little better can tell us how to get to the gps settings and how to change the server to sulp.google There are a bunch of things that you guys can do to fix gps you just have to look and try one by one. Try downloading it from a computer I always have trouble flashing files I download from my phone.

[Q] Nfc not working on toasted marshmallow

Hey guys, I was trying to do nfc share with my uncle and every time I tried receiving a photo beam from him, it would open up the play store and show a failure to connect to it with a retry option. However, I could beam over a picture from my phone to his with no problem. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Wow, it seems this ROM has some problems. Why didn't you ask in the ROM thread? Seems to have a lot of FC issues. See if the developer knows about the problem.

[Q] SlimKat GPS bug

Hi,
I`m not allowed to comment on the dev thread so I`m doing it here...
I love slimroms and I`ve been using it since SlimBean is out there, thanks for everyone doing the hard work!
Since I updated to SlimKat, my GPS doesn`t work, no satellites reception at all. I tried to look for errors over adb and saw that the error is No XTRA servers available...
Just to confirm, I flushed few other CM roms and GPS is working perfectly in these, so the problem is in SlimKat only.
I saw few references in the dev thread but nobody said anything about possible solution.
Would be happy to go back to SlimKat once this problem solved.
Does anybody else have this problem? Any solution?

yeah, this is broken for me too. if i have data and wifi on i can still get a location fix though in the city, but not outside of the city.

GPS Location not working SGH T989 Slimkat
I am having the same issue on my T989, and am looking for a possible solution. I've enabled high accuracy and even enabled the wifi and what not. However, I still cannot get a location. I'm gonna have to switch to another ROM until the issue is resolved, but I don't really want to So if anyone from anywhere can help me fix this issue, It'd help out a lot...

i am having the same issue, can't patch agps too having status 0. it doesn't work when i try copying that files in /etc myself

Other than the GPS issue, what about camera? The camera does not work for me in Hangouts or Skype (SlimKat).

No camera and no GPS. Try carbon Rom 4.4.2 if you want those to work. Just as smooth.

Yeah there really is no point in these posts because even the developer has established that SlimKat has issues with T989 thus the reason there have been no further builds since 2/3. If people are still going to use it anyway then they accept the consequences of doing so. Not ripping anybody but these questions keep popping up all the time. Use another ROM if you want GPS & camera, there are no ifs, ands or buts about that.
