Hi fellow droid users,
I'm new to the HTC desire z world, coming from using a Milestone! Just curious what the first steps are to get myself up and running a custom ROM asap.
I did some peeking in threads, and as usual, the jargon is insane. Not sure which apps I need to correctly root / install custom ROMs?
For the Milestone, I had to flash custom .sbf files with RSDLite... what are my first steps for the Desire Z?
Also, will ROMS for the vision / G2 all be compatible?
pardon my n00bness and thanks in advance,

Hi guys, I'm hoping i'm posting this in the right section.
I was just wondering if the HTC desire Z off the bell store in canada is compatible with G2 roms (after rooting it of course)... I was also wondering if the rooting methods are also the same.
Please and Thank you
P.s: I'm assuming the radios are interchangeable as well... ?
I'm sure the original G2 ROM's won't work on the DZ, but I'm not entirely sure... custom ROMs are compatible with both devices though
Although I think the stock ROM will work (someone posted up yesterday after flashing G2 stock on their DZ), you're probably best sticking to the custom ROMs.
Yes, the radios are interchangeable.
Hi,
I am not usually an expert on porting ROM's and stuff but i was wondering if you can port the HTC Desire Z rom over to the tomobile version the G2?
The desire z actually has couple of different features that i would like the maps that are already stored on the phone.
If it its possible please do let me know
Thanks.
Once you are rooted and s-off using the guides in the Development forum, you can use any ROM you desire

I have used ICS custom rom on my Desire z, but now I am selling my phone and new owner wants stock rom. So how can I unroot, S-ON and get stock 2.3 rom to my Desire z? Is there any easy guides? I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1442988
Will it work? There is said that "This will work for Vision, Ace and Glacier devices.", so will it work on my european Desire z?
Please help me ASAP, new owner is waiting hes Desire z.
Yes that guide will work, I used it myself just under a month ago to return it to HTC for replacement, worked perfectly.
Hi guys,
First of all I have to admit that I have been very stupid and this thread is just because I didn't do my steps right. I have flashed ParanoidAndroid [4.4.4] on my HTC Wildfire, but I hadn't made any backups. The speed of my phone is now so low that I would like to install my original ROM, but I don't have a backup.
My question is: 'Can anyone provide me the original ROM of the HTC Wildfire S?'
Thanks a lot for supporting
Here are RUUs, completely stock with stock recoveries and kernels and this is CWM flashable stock ROM
