I haven't. Thanks. I just subscribed.
It's not Froyo, I think! And different with last one release
I just received this update OTA (3.6.360). It's for T- Mo phones (USA?) and has a link listing a number of "fixes". I have no issues with the supposed fixes except in on (T-MO USA) area: wifi calling. I had been experiencing some moments of voice loss on wifi calling. I did a reset which seemed to have cured it. Apparently this update stabilizes wifi calling and also makes "visual voice mail" now work over wifi. Let you know what happens.
I also just received it. Wow the screen scrolling is so silky smooth now. It was nice before, but it just glides now. Actually all selections are smoother. Homescreens, app drawer, widget scrolling. I also notice the touch sensitivity is better too. They greatly improved the overall feel of this phone's UI (not that it was anywhere near bad before). Very nice indeed!

Have been reading on this link about some wifi issues with the update: ie. cannot send text while wifi on, phone getting hot, battery life lower... you see any of those issues?
Thanks

Honestly I have never had an issue with any of those. The only thing I ever noticed was when I was on Wi-Fi, and I would text, I would see the icons for both Wi-Fi and 3G at the same time. Phone never gets hot, and battery life has been good (100% full charge with little use I can go 3 days. 100% charge with heavy use and I get a good day and a half). Since I just update today I will give a a little time, and post back if anything got worse or better.

One reason I ask is because I have terrible cell service and use wifi calling not only for calls but for sending text, which works fine now and would hate to update and discover I can't do this anymore.
OK DID IT... all seems to work as before. Somethings seem faster, sure I'll see a few new things as I go along.

I didn't sign up for anything... or do you just have to be a member of that forum? Otherwise, I presume they're rolling them out in batches?
Just downloaded it. Freed up about 70mb of RAM for me. Seems to be running smoother too. Booted twice which I was not prepared for. Still hoping for an official FroYo. After seeing the leaked release in the dev forum, I think it is a matter of time. If Samsung can release one for the Vibrant..... Yeah. But for now I can learn this like I learned my Win Mo.
EDIT: It appears that after this update I have lost root on my stock ROM. I cannot regain root through super1click nor z4root. Both fail to initialize. Super1 just locks up and z4 force closes. Not sure what could be the culprit. Did a factory data reset and am attempting to reinstall all apps including root.
EDIT: So yes it appears that indeed this has nullified my root access. Trying right now again with z4root and it is stuck in the attempting to apply root screen. Looks like Moto does not want their stuff messed with. Shoulda known better. Any ideas? I am really, really new to Android so I have been trying to avoid too much. Now that it force closed it looks like it will not let it do anything AND uninstalled it from my device. Will not let me install it again either. How nice. Glad I spent $ to be told what I can and can't do with my phone.
I have tried 3 times now to install this update, twice with the phone still rooted and once after unrooting and rebooting. Each time, I see the little Android guy next to an open box with a progress bar, which goes to about 1/3, then I get the triangle with ! inside next to the little Android guy. That isn't supposed to happen, right?
Judging by more recent posts about this update, it's just as well I can't install it.
10 characters!
I deleted the music downloading apps, but FamilyRoom is still there. And I'm finding that a factory reset doesn't restore all that junk, so I still can't install the update. Poop.

I'm having the same issue.
I've backed up all the bloatware onto another SD I removed with titanium, so I hope once putting those back on and unrooting will fix it.

I'm new to rooting and have the same problem, can't un-root, can't root after update. superoneclick stops at "reading OS version properties" when trying to root. Then says "super user not installed" when trying to un-root.
The worst part is the update reinstalled all that crap bloatware which is the reason I rooted in the first place. My bad for not un-rooting BEFORE I updated.

same here- anyone here knows how to fix this issue?
I finally got it figured out. My problem was that I deleted some "bloatware" files that, for some reason, are essential to have in order for the update to run. Assuming you did the same thing:
If you haven't already, use Z4Root to root your phone and then install the recovery app found in post 83 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=875233&page=9 . Run that recovery app in Recovery Boot mode, select Backup, and let it create a nandroid backup of your phone. That backup will end up in /goapkrev/backup on your SD card.
You'll need to download the ROM from post #39 on this page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=880813&page=4 Unrar it, then copy the folder containing 4 files into /goapkrev/backup on your card.
Run Recovery again, but this time select Backup & Restore - Advanced Restore. Select the folder you just copied to your card (2010-12-31.15.54.38), then select Restore System and let it run. That will leave your apps and data untouched. After the restore, select the option to reboot the phone.
Download and install the update, then reboot.
After rebooting, you can re-root using SuperOneClick found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913709 Don't forget to enable USB debugging first.
So far, so good

Damn, sorry but i'm a little pissed right now.
I would like to ask any of you fellows if the latest offcial update had any bad effects on your device ?
I have random crashes. When i try to restart it i get the white stupid HTC screen and nothing happens for a while then it restarts again from that point.
If i let it like that it will do this for about 10-15 mins. then it will eventually start.
(Ok, i just noticed that it isnt charging anymore...and when i try to unlock the screen it will turn it off.)
(After a couple of reboots it is charging again)
ffs !!!
Footnote.
I am running a standard Desire, not rooted, very few apps, no task killer.
What to do now ?
Well, now i go to work tomorrow like an idiot and will be nice with every one of my colleagues laughin at me.
YOu know, when all your colleagues use their company iPhones and you try to prove how awesome your Android is and after a couple of weeks your phones doesnt work anymore ppl will laugh at you.
So in the end i think, millions of ppl around the world should not be wrong after all.
make a gold card and flash the full generic ROM to your phone
if that doesn't work then you need to return it
No problem here works fine if not slightly better. The problem with forums is that people generally only post problems. I've seen many other posts with people reporting no issues on stock device. Could be due to an app you have.

The point is, the phone was working properly till the update.
I updated my phone yesterday as well with the OTA update. Now my phone discharges from 100% to 93% instantly from taking it off charge. I know this is an on going problem that has been happening to people since the phones launch, but mine was fine, it never did that until today.. the first time I charged it since I did the update. Coincidence? Somehow I think not
I guess the first thing to do would be a factory reset.
I have the latest update on my Desire and everything works great, certain things are better.
I'll give it a hard reset tonight when I have the time to put all the settings back to how I want. I don't want to loose all my save data on some of my games though, like totemic.. I wont play it again if I have to some of those levels again lol
My phone has just shut down by itself and the only way I was able to start it was by pulling the battery. I have the phone for some time and it's the first time something like this has happened so it has to be because of the update. Also, right after the update some of my widgets (Messages and Wi-Fi) were gone! Battery life seems worse.
I had a few problems when i updated too. but a factory reset made everithing work like a charm. (unrooted)

Bad idea there... You're going to have issues with returning it after flashing a generic ROM...
Have any of the networks actually rolled out this update?
I agree with the battery life being A LOT worse after the update. And I did flash the whole generic Rom onto it. My battery life was amazing before the update. I think it must be something to do with the radio, as they changed it in the update. Gutted now as I can't downgrade again either.

You can flash an older radio without changing the rom, but I think it you need to root first.
My battery life is awesome on this rom. My phones been off charge for 15 hours and its at about 70% now. Any other rom I've used previously custom or stock have given me far worse results.
Interesting to see how there is such a mixed bag of results.
Hi, after I updated OTA I lost WiFi after a couple of days, not immediately... I read here that removing battery helps so I did it. The problem is gone (for now at least)
But I don't want to remove the battery every few days.

Hello- I've been reading around this site and I am not sure if what I've found is accurate, I could use the help of those that are informed.
I'm new to Android having only gotten my first incredible yesterday. I tried using unrevoked (v. 3.21 to the best of my knowledge) on windows after installing the appropriate drivers and was unsuccessful two or three times. It would hang at waiting for root or 'we can't get root,' were the two messages I'd receive.
I reset to factory from the bootloader and tried this again on my Mac machine- this was different but still unsuccessful. It would still say 'waiting for root,' however the phone itself was stuck powered on with nothing on the screen. It took me unplugging the mini USB and removing the battery to finally get it to power back on and show something on the screen.
With that said, is there an update from Verizon that causes unrevoked to no longer work? I read that somewhere but am unsure how recent the information is.
Secondly- what I really want to do is enable the Wifi Hotspot feature without having to fork MORE money over to Verizon- am I going down the right path to enable this?
Lastly- can someone please provide a good thread I can read up on regarding handling future updates for Android OS- I assume OTA updates are disabled once rooted, how do I continue to make sure my OS is up to date when this is disabled?
Thanks in advance for your help!

You most likely have the latest OTA update, which patches the exploit that UnrEVOked 3.21 used to get root. They are currently working on a new exploit for the recent OTA update now.
If you want free wifi tethering, you don't exactly need to root. This'll do the trick: http://www.tweak3d.net/forums/showthread.php?54386-Android-OS-htc-incredible-free-wifi-tethering
Usually the OTA's get incorporated into later ROM releases, so all you'll have to do is download and install the new release for your custom ROM.
If you prefer to have a stock, but rooted ROM, you can download the rooted stock ROMs that usually come out after OTA updates.
Or, usually, there are leaked updates released before the official update comes out. Those are also rooted and usually posted here as well, if you want early release things.
I hope I helped you out, need anything else cleared up?

Woah. I've been searching these forums for two weeks looking for this, and thought that my only choice is to root the dang phone. Does this not alert VZW about the usage, or can they only tell how much data is being used?
I just tested this with the "wifi hotspot" app that's on the (unrooted) Incredible, and holy crap it worked! If this works out then I've just solved my only major gripe with having the Incredible on Verizon!

By changing the dun nai, its supposed to disable the "tell VZW I'm using this app" thing. I'm not sure about this one, but I think they can still see you're using data, just not that its from the hotspot app. Just know, if they can somehow track/tell you're using it and you get caught, I'm not to be held liable lol. Blame the guy who made the post I showed you lol. Just a little disclaimer, just in case.

Sure. What I mean is- I originally wanted to root it only to enable the functionality of the Wifi Hotspot. What functionality can I add by rooting my phone in addition to this?
I don't really see the advantage of having to update my ROM manually any time there is an Android OS update- what's the value?

SetCPU was a big selling point in my eyes back when I first rooted. You can underclock the processor while the screen is off to help save battery. But, that kind of stuff is built into some kernels now (Kings BFS6, for example). But, if you want your phone to run a bit faster and smoother, you can overclock. I also like running different ROMs with themes and stuff. The customization is pretty neat imo. Like on this ROM: I have a few (6) quick settings I can change in the notifications bar. Just little conveniences like that win me over lol. And, there are leaked versions of official releases incorporated in to ROMs earlier than they're rolled out. I was running Froyo back in late July lol. Applying different ROMs/updates to the ROMs isn't hard or inconvenient at all... Only when your battery is low does it suck lol. If you wanna remove bloatware, no problem. And, if you ever mess up somewhere, you can usually apply a Nandroid backup you previously made and be good to go.

not sure where to begin, i suppose by listing my phone specs after root--
using the galaxy s2, (epic 4g touch) using kernal 2.6.35-8lostkernelexp+, build number starburst 11.13.11 v1.9.8r and running nothing but the honey theme.
i rooted the phone about a week ago and until today, everything seemed to work fine, then suddenly, i was unable to send pictures via text. not a real big issue, but i travel alot and sending pics back home by messages i a big deal for me. i thought it was just somethin with the phone, and after rebooting and rebooting to see if it would correct, it did not. however, normal text's would go through, just not any pics. i could send and receive normal words with no issues.
then just today, i totally lost internet connection--although the 3g is lit up on top, and i have 4 full bars of signal, i cannot surf, all i get is "unable to display webpage". since im at home, i turned on the wifi option and connected through the router in my house, and all worked fine-- i got online, send pic texts, etc...but when i turned wifi off, nothing.
now, back when i rooted the phone, i still kept getting the annoying "system update" messages that the phone normally does, forcing me to install whatever update the phone grabs. to prevent that, i did the steps on this site which was here--
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1388778&highlight=freeze+ota
and disabled my update notifications. well, back to the beginning--now i have no internet at all and god only knows what else is wrong that i have yet to discover.
only thing i can think of at this point, is to unroot the phone , return it to the way it was and see how it goes but i dont want to do that--
any ideas?

Why not nandroid a backup of your current setup and then do a full factory reset wipe and ODIN over a stock rom and see if that fixes it...if it does then there is no reason to bring a perfectly good phone back.
Diagnostic process bro, get on it.
However if that doesn't yield any results? Might be bad hardware (which I doubt) and probably not your fault.
EDIT: You haven't changed your PRL by chance, have you? Sometimes on 11115 or 00001 I get intermittent MMS function...and a few times, legit PRL or not, my wifi/4g have just stopped working. A wipe and stock-restore took care of that every time...though that was a week or two after the phone came out and we didn't have nearly as many tools and options as we do now.
Also, are you sure that you haven't somehow disabled 3G or put it into airplane mode? As insulting as that sounds I have to ask....
...sometimes even the brightest of us forget to plug things in.
Odin restore would be the first step.
I would try ##72786# in the dialer then entering your msl. After that just just hut yes then let your phone do its thing and reboot and reactivate. Just remember to cancel it during the firmware check.

Good call...or even just trying to refresh your profile under 'updates' would be the easiest place to start...
The mms issues are likely a limitation of the ROM you are running (I haven't run Starburst in a couple of months so you'll have to ask about that in the ROM thread.) Easily resolved by using a third party app for mms if it is an important feature for you.
As far as the rest, the code provided by beejis is the reprovisioning code, also called a hands free reset and there is a bit more to the process than he stated (at least for a noob.) Hit the toolkit link in my signature and you'll find step by step instructions.
If that doesn't work, starting fresh is an incredibly simple process.
Also, posting the exact same question in two different forums is breaking a Cardinal rule, so you probably want to refrain from that, it won't win you many friends.

If you have titanium backup, go into that app then click backup/restore at the top. Find system updates and click on it to see if it's frozen, if it is defrost it. Then try my steps again. Other than that I'd try to Odin a stock ROM.

i did do the ##number thing, the phone rebooted but notihng happened--i thought it was supposed to auto activate or something. so i went into settings/about phone/update profile....it scanned and after a few mins, i still get the error message "update could not be completed, if problem persists contact sprint customer support"
so im back on factory rom, but nothings changed---im where i was before--no data/internet....
before installing a different rom and such, i figure ill stop here and see what other suggestions may come about....sooooo, what next?
Take your phone in to a sprint store, an exchange may be in your future.

gee i hope not... i got the phone dec 14th, cant imagine having probs this early....
what if i did a total wipe, factory reset? i know ill loose everything on the phone, and now that its not rooted any longer, i have no way to back up anything (or at least not that i know of)
just hoping theres a better fix than a return/ factory reset
Now that you are stock, call sprint tell them your issue (only tell then internet doesn't work) and they'll do stuff on their end to trouble shoot it. Hopefully that will fix it.
It burns when I tapatalk...
I would try this. This will reset you back to exactly the way you got the phone. If you are still having problems then you will have to take it back to Sprint.

That sucks, I'd recommend taking the phone to Sprint/where you bought it, and get it replaced/fixed. Good news is you're now back on stock so they won't really look into rooting as a problem. I always put phones back to stock before I take it in for a claim.

yea, dunno...
i did call sprint per Beejis reply here just above yours. after going through a ton of crap that i did yesterday and all today, the ## number crap, they tell me there's a nationwide outage. now i find that hard to believe since both my other phones in the house, wife/kid work just fine and they have data/internet and other ppl i know have no problems....i told the tech person that it just must be my phone only cuz everyone else's seems to work.
she did give me an outage number, maybe someone on here can verify it -- 8622911 so who the heck knows. what i do know is, i sure spent a heck of alota time on here, resetting my phone, unrooting, blahh blahh just to find out there's an outage which i doubt in the first place ...
we'll see,,,,,
If you are now stock/rooted, sounds like you need to use sfhubs auto root script to go back to stock recovery (overwrite your custom recovery) unroot, and take it back to Sprint.

its just stock odin at this point, as if it came from the store.
also, still no data/internet as of this morning. dont know why sprint
is telling me this bs story of an outage, and even if so, i find it way hard to beleive its a 4 day outage
but yes, looks like im headed back to the store-- i got it at best buy, have insurance and all that, but ill wait till tomorrow or something just in case this phantom outage corrects itself
by the way, where do i find this sfhubs root your talking about?
oh one other thing i discovered today also, now gps dont work either, no location, no search no nothing and it is turned on......... sigh
I did everything right (at least I'm pretty sure). I quadruple checked to ensure that there were no traces of root on my phone (Last time I was rooted the Software Update wouldn't even open, so I know I'm not rooted). I made sure that all system apps were restored prior to unroot. I kept it connected to a constant power source. Everytime I try to update (I think I'm at attempt #6 ) it fails at the 3rd step. Superuser is nowhere to be found on my Play. Does anyone have any ideas? The last thing I want to do is a full system restore, because wouldn't that require me activating it again?

I wouldnt worry about OTA, just restore the nandroid that netiznt posted. I have 2.3.4. on my phone now with DoomKernel and root. Just did a nandroid restore in recovery. Works great
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1630348
Would that wipe stuff like my texts and whatnot? I'm new to all of this so I don't know too much yet. Would the nandroid basically be the upgrade without the hassle of Verizon's OTA service, or would my version still say 2.3.3 if I go to About Phone? I just don't want to lose all of that data and stuff.

Just to show you, I just checked for an OTA update and it said I was current. I would highly recommend you do a nandroid backup of what you hae now, then once thats done restore the new 2.3.4 nandroid. It will be like a fresh wipe on your phone.
Would I be able to restore messages from the nandroid backup of my phone? If the OTA fails, I'll definitely do this then. Did you notice any improvements from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4?
Sorry about the double post but I just checked everything in my root folder, and when I got to the system apks, I noticed that the dates on them were 30 May 2012... Could the fact that those dates didn't even happen yet be interfering with the OTA? Maybe it does some sort of date check, and future dates returned some kind of error message. What do you guys think?
I had the same problem, no matter what you do its not gonna work. However if you follow my instructions here you can get it to work, and then reload your user data in. Don't use the 2.3.4 nandroid backup they are talking about, WiFi and camera don't work, and its for unlocked bootloaders.

no it activates automatically, hit the speaker button, listen to the message, press 1 when it tells you, and you're done.
Oh alright that sounds better. The person in charge of the plan (my mom since I'm only 17) wouldn't be notified of any of this would they?

Nope, there no notification, its like if your phone broke and you got a new one, or if you did a perfectly reasonable factory reset, the ESN is already associated with your account, so you're fine.
Alright awesome thanks! If this last update attempt doesn't work I guess I have no choice but to do this.

My way works perfectly, just takes a while, close to 2 hours...
Well before I spend 2 hours on a weekday in the middle of the day, what benefits are there in this update? I'll wait till Friday night if there's not much there.

The camera now uses the right trigger to take pics
720p video recording
If you hold down the power button it takes a screenshot
It has a new piece of Verizon bloatware to delete (Verizon Video).
Facebook Sync seems to be fixed, but its actually still broken
Most importantly though, if and when the PSN store is released it will only work with 2.3.4 or better. Some people have anticipated its release this week.
As for spending 2 hours, you aren't really doing much during that 2 hours, you can probably watch TV and not get screwed up lol.
You had me at PSN Store! Hopefully it happens this week because converting all my ISOs with PSXperia is a lot of work haha. I guess I can take a break from texting for 2 hours and play with my iPad if this OTA attempt doesn't work... all of my SMS and MMS will be restored at the end of your method right?

Oh alright awesome! Definitely gonna do that when this update downloads (and probably fails)
Hi everyone,
I've been trying new ROMs and kernels since I got my M8 about a year ago. Ever since I switched away from Sense ROMs to GPE and AOSP, I've noticed that my phone has become debilitatingly slow on a semi-regular basis until I do a clean flash (and even then, the speed lasts for only a couple days max after restoring my apps).
Specifically:
- In general, apps and system activity will freeze mid-use
- Phone calls will sometimes cause my phone to vibrate for a bit before letting me act on them (and even so, my phone may be too frozen to act at all)
- Screen power-on sometimes takes a few tries
- Major 3rd party like Uber, Snapchat, etc- will take a long time to load and stutter more frequently during use
- Camera takes a good amount of time to load regardless of app
I'm mostly trying to figure out if there's something wrong with my approach to ROM selection, backup/restoring, or kernel configuration, because none of this feels how using a year-old flagship should.
Here's my current flow between ROMs: Backup all user apps, accounts, and other ROM-agnostic attributes with Titanium Pro; factory reset with TWRP; install ROM + gapps with TWRP; reboot, log in with Google to install Titanium; restore all missing apps + system data with Titanium. I've used DH's GPE, BlissPop, CM 12.1, and Candy5- all with the same result of general slowness and unusability after a couple days of use.
Things to note which I suspect may be possible culprits:
- I haven't ever cleared out internal storage, but try to keep ~5 gb free at a time.
- I have 3-4 Google accounts synced at once.
- I regularly use Facebook, Snapchat, and Uber/Lyft- all of which feel somewhat bloated and don't adhere to Android guidelines too well as far as I can tell
Things I've tried to cut down on lag:
- Greenified aforementioned bloated apps
- Messed with kernel I/O, clock speed, and governor settings with little or temporary success (I stick to stock settings now)
- Clearing running apps regularly (which I hate to do- Android should be able to handle processes just fine)
Currently running Candy5, latest build on Verizon.
Hopefully I've been thorough enough in my descriptions to give someone an idea of how to make my phone work as well as I know it should. Looking forward to getting to the bottom of this, and thanks so much in advance for anyone who wants to put the time in to help me out.
Only thing to suggest is not to restore apps and accounts. Set it up fresh from the beginning and run the basic needs for a week see if that helps. Terrible issues can appear when you restore apps that are originally installed on another rom.

Have you had much luck with this? I'm also experiencing unbearable lag no matter which ROM I choose. Nothing I've tried has worked and it was suggested in a thread that I created (http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/unable-to-stable-rom-m8-t3179661/) that I reach out to you to see if you've made progress or not with this issue?

Yo! Saw your post a bit earlier. I finally go around to doing a full wipe (that's system/data/cache/internal, not just a factory reset), and only backing up the essentials (no apps- essentially just homescreen layout). Then, I installed DirtyUnicorns and the linked GAPPS, then restored apps from my Google account instead of Titanium. Been going strong for 2 days or so now, but I can't be sure that'll stick around. Honestly, if a full wipe doesn't fix these issues, I'm convinced nothing will, so I'm hoping for the best.
Slim zero gapps package works well for me also.

I also had a feeling it could have been a full wipe issue (need click on advance to get to other wipes).
Always let google install my apps also (57 apps).
Never have had a lag problem with Dirty Unicorns.

Yeah, I'm kinda doing the same thing now too. Previously I didn't quite use TB to restore my apps like you did; I just restored the data manually for certain apps, but I'm not even doing that this time. I'm just slowly installing apps one by one and giving it a day or at least a few hours of use before installing the next. It's super slow going and sucks to not have all my apps, but I just don't know what to do.

I'm still not convinced the full wipe will do it. I did that a couple iterations ago when I was going between ROMS and it didn't help then. The only difference between then and now is I'm going very slowly installing the apps back in and also avoiding restoring the data (data only) from TB unless I absolutely have to.
One oddity for me was when this would happen, if I would go into the recent item listing and cleared it, that would make a huge difference performance wise. Did you experience the same thing?

Yep, I did. It definitely helped briefly, but opening certain apps would bog the entire thing down. Never quite felt the way it should have.
Same thing for me too. Have tried all the best/popular ROMs and eventually I have unbearable lag. Only thing I've done between ROMs is restore apps via Titanium Backup (Just the apps, no data). Wonder if installing the apps 1 by 1 via the play store really helps or not?

Still figuring it out myself. I tried to go to both the latest VenomOne ROM and the last KK version of it and neither would load on my phone. Went back to DU and so far so good. But it's only been about 8 hours. Trying to restore as little data from TB as possible.
Update for me. I was tired of the lag once again (Was on this 7/7/2015-Lollipop Stock Rooted Google Play Edition LMY47O.H6). I downloaded Venom 4.3.0. Performed a wipe 3 times in TWRP and then also wipe in Venom. It's only been around 12 hours since I flashed it but holy crap this is crazy fast. I did not do any TB backup or any app restore of any sort, just did it all manually via the Play Store. Now typically, when I flash new ROMs it seems to be pretty fast but I don't recall it ever being this fast. Hopefully this sticks. I'll post an update in a few days.

One thing I found on Reddit just now. Apparently Accessibility features lag phones, see thread here https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/3i31fs/psa_accessibility_can_cause_your_phone_to_appear/ Only thing I ever recall using was LastPass so if could fill in the credentials for other apps. I just disabled the accessibility for it so I guess we'll see.

Interesting, I couldn't even get it installed on my phone this time! I've been running Dirty Unicorns for a couple days now, installed most of my apps and am having no issues yet. However, I do miss the TMO wifi calling. That's going to be a problem since one of my work locations has basically zero cell coverage.

Something has to be wrong with my phone. DU runs better, but still not 100% smooth. I still find that clearing the recent apps helps, but it wasn't like that a couple months ago. I don't know if I dropped my phone or the internal memory is damaged somehow or what. But it's still locking randomly and just not smooth.
Now I gotta figure out how to unroot and bring it back to stock so that TMO doesn't give me crap about replacing this thing.

But that wouldn't get rid of the bootloader, would it? I still have to research the steps to perform, but not only do I have to put stock ROM on it, but I have to replace the bootloader and recovery to try and get rid of all traces that it's been rooted (the red text at boot for example).
I won't be doing that until closer to the weekend anyways. So I still have a few days to figure it out and maybe in that time there'll be a breakthrough on why my phones doing this.

Just out of curiosity, are you using a microSD, and if so, what size/kind? I've had a 64gb in mine forever (and wasn't even using it for anything), and I just unmounted it. Suddenly, everything is significantly smoother and the bugginess has gone away. It's only been about an hour, but I'm starting to think that might have been the problem all along.

I am, but I have replaced it. I was using a 16GB one, but bought a 32GB when these problems started with the purpose of off loading programs to the SD card since the phones memory was getting full. The phone is no longer full since I've wiped and don't have that many programs installed anymore. I can try taking it out to see how things go.
