[Q] Wifi Backup | wpa_supplicant.conf - Defy General

Hello,
tried a backup of my wifi settings (don't want to ask for passwords over and over again).
What I tried was restoring a backup of data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf and changed the permissions accordingly but that didn't work.
I tried to copy only necessary code into original wpa_supplicant.conf...that didn't work either. I rebooted after every tryout.
What happened was, when I turned wifi on, it scanned for a short time and turned itself off again.
Any suggestion?
Thank you.
PS: Used search terms wpa_supplicant.conf, backup wifi and so forth.

To Backup or not To Backup?

every time ive done a backup to me PC in the past, followed by a hard reset.
when i try to Restore the backed up file from the pc to the XDAllls
it wont exept it, says its not the same phone or something like that.
Check your region settings, I owned an Ipaq h6365 and had the same problem until I found out that a hard reset changed my region settings. Once I set it back to English (UK) it worked fine.

[Q] How the hell do you delete a bluetooth device?

Can anyone help me out?
I've tried:
1. Unpairing then rescanning. This doesn't delete it only momentarily removes it from the list until you return to the bluetooth options again. Even after reboot it doesn't help.
2. Deleting the Bluetooth share app and rebooting.
3. Deleting the bluetooth pairings in Titanium Backup. There wasn't an option for deleting or force removing.
I was on Froyo Sense 2.29.405.2 and moved to Cyanogen 6.1. Everything works fine except my Jabra BT530 headset now won't pair. At first it would ask me for the password/code again and again (which is the standard 0000). Now I keep getting the message "pairing rejected by..." I've reset the headset so it cleared it's pairings.
Now I want to clear the phone's pairings. But it's proving a problem. I've noticed others with the problem but their solutions don't work for me.
Any help please???
i once restored something incorrectly in TB and couldn't change bluetooth settings after
e.g i changed the name of the device in there, went out, back in and it changed itself back.
other probs like yours. couldn't add or remove anything either.
i reinstalled the rom in the end. restoring bluetooth pairings only, works every time since then. no idea what i did wrong though
This is a problem that you wouldn't think would be this difficult to solve!
Well, I have just solved it. I had the idea that I now see is along the same lines.
If you don't have a custom ROM, then start there as always.
1. Rebooted into recovery and wiped data and cache.
2. Rebooted into fresh system and paired with a device that is not the one I want. (You can't delete bluetooth pairings in TB but you can overwrite them. Strange but true.)
3. Backup "bluetooth share" app and the new bluetooth pairings.
4. Reboot into recovery. Restore custom ROM.
5. Reboot into you system. Use TB to restore bluetooth share and bluetooth pairings, in that order.
6. Pair with what you do want to pair with.
And that, long winded process, is the way I have figured out how to delete all bluetooth settings which worked for me.
Hope this helps someone else!

This procedure fixed my bluetooth pairings after I switched from LeeDroid to Defrost. Thank you so much : )

[Q] Privacy Settings

Sorry for setting this question at such a high place. But i´m asking me since i have an DHD (or Android) how the automatic backup from Android (2.2 and on) works. If i enable Save my settings (under Settings -> Privacy) so it will be stored somewhere in the google universe. Without the chance of get control of it, just in case to see what is stored, can i delete some of this things etc. And if i deactivate the option it says it deletes all copies on the google server, if a activate it then once again how long takes it to update all again ?
The reason why i now ask is:
I have formerly installed CM 7 and backuped all data, did a fresh install and activated the option not in the beginning (in case to overwrite some of my settings with too freshly data ) and forgot it after that for a while. Just tested today an Sense ROM and recognized there where no Wifi Settings and so on. Then i found out why, the HTC Sense ROM came with automatic activated "Backup Data" and overwrited all of my longer ago saved data. Now i switched back to my CM 7.02 with Nandroid and activated the option again (off and on, to delete it the first time). So, my question: How long take the backup ? When do Google backups my data - on a restart - after some hours ? Someone have an answer ?
Thanks anyway

SOLVED Need Wifi Settings Titanium Backup file

While getting things set up on my new Moto G Power, I tried to migrate all of my Wifi Passwords from my old LG V20 via Titanium Backup.
It didn't work, but now, when I put in my password, it says failed to connect. Can anyone provide their WiFi access points backup files? Just so I can restore them, and NOT have to restore my system from scratch?
Thanks.
PS: It may show 2 files. See the picture to see what I mean. Send both if you have them.
EDIT: Issue is solved. Mods, please delete.
