Q: Network fail - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

everytime i restart or apply anything that involves a restart, my internet connection is lost, although the H icon is still there, and APN is untouched, this made me keep on factory resetting, and i dont like it
solutions pls

i notice that when i restart my desire, my apn cannot be selected again, even if i restore defaults, emptying all apn, and reinserting manually, must be something wrong with the configuration files on the desire, how now?

[Q] Wifi Backup | wpa_supplicant.conf

Hello,
tried a backup of my wifi settings (don't want to ask for passwords over and over again).
What I tried was restoring a backup of data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf and changed the permissions accordingly but that didn't work.
I tried to copy only necessary code into original wpa_supplicant.conf...that didn't work either. I rebooted after every tryout.
What happened was, when I turned wifi on, it scanned for a short time and turned itself off again.
Any suggestion?
Thank you.
PS: Used search terms wpa_supplicant.conf, backup wifi and so forth.

After deleting /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/telephony.db I have no data

I was having a problem with com.android.phone crashing I narrowed it down to a corrupt /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/telephony.db file after I deleted it it auto-created a new file file.
I went then and reset APN back to defaults.
Now I have no cellular data.
I went back and manually put in the carrier's APN and nothing.
anyone have any idea as to how to get your phone to replace the missing telephony.db?
CM12.1 and CM13 FYI

You can test this out yourself by renaming that file to .bak or .old additionally in *#*#INFO#*#* it shows GPRS as disconnected where it showed connected before.

Wifi Settings Keep Freezing

Not entirely sure when/why this happens, but about 5 times a day, I can't change any of my wifi settings, including toggling it on/off. Then when I go into the actual settings, the entire phone freezes, and gives me "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped." And I'll have to restart my phone for everything to work again.
I've tried clearing the Storage cache, did a cache partition wipe, and reset my network settings.
The only things I haven't tried is a factory reset or deleting my Storage data as I really don't want to have to go through set up all over again.
Any help would be appreciated.

URGENT##Factory Reset issue after upgrade A11 OOS

Hi All,
Need urgent help.
I had upgraded to A11 OOS and was running with root and custom kernel(bluespark).
I wanted to start afresh as there was some laginess with change from A10 to A11 without loosing data , so i did below steps
1. Remove PIN from Settings.
2. Selected option of Factory Reset / Erase Data (unselecting option to delete internal data like pics, songs, movies etc)
3. System automatically restarts
Issue is now im stuck in screen where it asks me to Enter PIN. Theres a option for "Forget Password" , when i click on it It says it will delete all internal data like pics, songs, etc
Even after force restarts it straightaway goes to same screen.
I really need my data as i havent backedup my pics especially.
Can anyone help me. @Lossyx @HueyT
