I have access to a sticker machine and Im going to know around a few android sticker designs. I was wondering if anyone here would be interested before the stickers are made?
All different android styles, sizes from 1.75,3, 4, 6 and 10 inches. Prices will vary but shouldn't be more than 7-8 bucks MAX the smaller ones wont be near that, but possibly around 3-4 bucks. the more you buy the cheaper.
Again mainly checking on interest here. I have done deals in the past with 4-5 members and all went well. I have great 100% ebay feedback and I am paypal verified.
I would take payment thru paypal. If you're going to send it via paypal then add the 4% fee to the final cost. OR you can pay via paypal using their gift option ( it send money fee free! ) then do not add the 4%.
i loveee pics!
haha I havent done them yet. but i may just do them. Im sure people will pick them up here and there.
I'm interested. Are we talking like cheapo ones or badass super stickers?
Die cuts. Like basic ones but I mean its an android how much more badass can it get? haha. I mean I have like different ones in mind. ANd things Ive seen off line. When I get some I'll report back I will only have a few of each style.

This is important, because I have dollars and you have ideas. You might have some of my dollars if your answer to this is correct.
Its going to be on 10year vinyl. Its going to be android figures ( if you will ) They are going to be diecut stickers.
I would be interested for one to stick on the back of my phone. I have an Otterbox Commuter case, so it's pretty bland by itself. Of course, I'd probably buy 3 or more so I have replacements for when one wore out. I might stick one on my car as well...
I'm probably going to catch flak for mentioning "the enemy" but a nice, tasteful apple-esque sticker for my car would be sweet!
i thought that i had posted in here already, but anyways, let me know when i can buy some. =]
I would not mind rocking one on my motorcycle helmet! Put me down for some.

Too bad this is illegal. I highly doubt that you have received the proper permissions to be reproducing the android name or logo in any way. Get caught doing this and it will cost you dearly.

Jerk.

I might be wrong (it happens!) but I don't think the Android droid is an official logo. I have seen the dolls all over and don't recall any flack.
He can always ask permission too..
it is an official logo but can be distributed as "free" but with a donation. basically selling it without officially selling it. nice little loop hole. =]
I stand corrected. But yes nice little loop hole!
For the record, I'm not trying to be a jerk. I own a graphics company myself and own several of these machines. I personally know a fellow who was selling copyrighted logos as decals online, and one of the copyright owners actually came forward to set an example of this guy and sued him for hundreds of thousands of dollars, and won.
Do as you wish, just giving you warning that just because others get away with this, doesn't mean you will do the same.

I'm assuming that was sarcasm. What they do have listed isn't in stock.
Apple wins.
I don't know whats going on with that site...It's been two weeks since I got the phone and about that long since I asked them to email me when the accessories would be back in stock....Guess I'm not the only one waiting....and waiting....and waiting......
3rd party always a good choice.
Thats why the Iphone has 23426245245314124451354134 items for sale for it. People support it and other phones have a few items and well get lost in the shuffle because they can't find an adapter that will allow the phone to dock with the toilet roll dispenser.
http://ipad.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/ipod_toilet_paper_roll.jpg
I mean common if they have a doc listed how freaking hard is it for them to actually make them and sell them. They have to know we want them and would actually use them.

You realize that there is only 1 iPhone for them to make accessories for each time apple releases a new model. And currently only 4 models period. Apple has kept a similar design each and every time, so to say that Iphones have 23426245245314124451354134 items for sale is a "thanks captain obvious" statement. About how many accessories did iPhone have 2 weeks after there launch huh?
Joe thanks for the captian obvious comment because I wasnt aware the iPhone hasnt changed much. My point overall being there will never be the support in the aftermarket world for any electronic device than the iPhone, but at the same time Samsung themselves who list accessories arent even selling them. Says two things to me. Its either a sells ploy to get you to buy their phones because look what you can buy or they are slow as heck to move on things.
Anyways I'm looking forward to some of their items, but I guess time will tell.

Thanks for the link - it confirmed what i suspected all along.
yes these does not work. they been around for years even during the razr v3 days. just for fun we bought a box with hundreds of them for just a couple bucks. we stuck one, two, three, and as much as we can fit on the phone to make contact with the metal, and still nothing. it's a gimmick that probably making them $$thousands.
that does NOT work.
I suspect you've been ripped off AND that Amazon should be notified if this is not a genuine Motorola part, because the title indicates it is made by Motorola, not just made "for" Motorola phones by someone else.
Moto never made that junk, AFAIK.
Now for about $120 you can get a Wilson amplified holder, which contains an active bi-directional booster, an antenna cable, and an exterior antenna for car or other use. Short of that?
No, the phone would need a better antenna, and Moto's engineers would gladly build it with one--but the mass market doesn't like antennas, they like "small".
Sorry... but i don't see anything there about it being an "official Motorola part".

And that's the clever way some thieves deceive careless buyers. It says he is selling "MOTOROLA...." and in plain YnGlitch that means parts manufactured by Motorola, not parts which might work on Motorola. The seller is, either by intent or accident, phrasing the ad to make it appear to be selling what it is not: Motorola parts, which is not the same as "stuff that you can jam into a Motorola phone."
The deceipt is almost always intentional, and those patches have been widely debunked as a hoax since they first came out, a dcade ago. I think the seller knows exactly what they are saying and doing, but that's just my personal opinion.
There's a reason the grade schools all used to admiinster reading comprehension tests. And sadly, it is still a skill that most readers lack, so the bottom-feeders take advantage of that.
Actually no... it says "for Motorola cell phone". It doesn't say anything about being manufactured by Motorola. You want to know why Motorola is there? Keywords, my friend. Keywords. You know.... the same thing that causes you to search for something like iPhone 4 on Craigslist, and you get Levi's jeans and Dell laptop's and other crap in the search results, because the person trying to sell something decided to put a whole sh*tload of keywords at the bottom of the article for no reason other than to try to draw attention to something that the person isn't even looking for. Look at the latter part of the product description. They listed damn near every Motorola phone ever made. Someone searches Amazon for say "Motorola Krave", and those signal boosters will pop up somewhere.
Yes.... it's to draw sales.... but not in the way you had expected.
You think the deception is accidental, I think it is intentional. We can agree to disagree, I've seen too many thieves and cons playing innocent about that exact mistake.
You can just as easily load up all the key words AND make it clear that it is not a Motorola product. eBay sellers do that all the time, saying "Made to fit..." or "Made to work with..." so it is clearly not "Made by Motorola" or "Motorola OEM".
The fact that they are selling junk PROVEN repeatedly not to work, should tip you off that they are not just innocents making an innocent mistake. it's a rip-off no matter how you look at it.
I'm debating putting my nexus up for sale on ebay and could use some advice...
What should I start off the bidding at? will be selling it with standard and extended battery.
Should I leave it rooted or return to stock?
Any idea roughly what I may end up getting for it?
Should I bother taking pics of the phone or just use a standard pic of the phone?
Will I have any problems trying to sell the phone with no history of selling items?
99p starting bid, it's free. Keep it rooted, put a 1.4 GHz kernel in it title it 'Galaxy Nexus, Rooted, overclocked 1.4 GHz with custom recovery'.
People will go mental for it. I've just sold my Desire for £150 because it's overclocked to 1.2 GHz.
Forgot to mention it is the verizon phone... Do I list it as Verizon or CDMA?
I don't know much about Verizon and CDMA, but I suppose if it's important you should mention it. I don't know how you transfer numbers with a CDMA phone.
Don't forget to mention you can relock the bootloader and easily flash a stock ROM if someone is worried about the warranty.

I'd say you should list it as "Verizon (CDMA/LTE)". The Verizon part is important as the at least the CDMA part of it will be locked to Verizon

I usually start bids off at 99 cents. As already mentioned, you can list it as rooted, but offer to return to factory state if the buyer requests. You should get close to what you paid if the phone is in mint condition. Always take pictures so the buyer knows exactly what they're getting (I take 3-4, showing the condition of the phone and accessories included). You won't have problems selling, every seller had 0 feedback at one point. Good luck

I've got a mint Nexus and a pro DSLR with a decent macro lens, I can take 3-4 nice close ups of you like? A good few pictures always helps you get a good price.
Hhhhmm so I'm not looking at getting much more than the $300 it costs with contract?

i agree 500- 600 easy and if you write your username on a pice of paper and photograph the phone on top of the paper, that helps persuade users that you are actually in possession of said product.
what to be careful of is users paying for it with zero feedback using a stolen CC

If it comes to that do I have the option not to sell to that person without a penalty?
Will it make a difference money wise if I list the phone as rooted or stock?
Just sell it rooted, you'll get more for it. Some folk haven't a clue about how to root a phone and will pay a premium for it. Trust me, I sell all my phones overclocked and rooted and I always do well.
Wow, very interesting, I thought selling rooted wouldnt be a good idea cause people may think they lost their warranty without a way back.
Like I said in post #4 just explain how easy it is to relock and flash the stock ROM using mskip's rooting method. Just word it intelligibly and people will be all over it.
Selling previous phones are always the way I get new ones.
I pretty much agree with above. List at least three different pictures (one of the front, back and a good angle showing everything you're listing such as the box and cables). Mention in the listing that they should contact you with any questions or if they want to see more pictures. Also make sure to mention something along the lines of "Anyone with zero feedback/International bidders email me first before bidding or I may remove your bid." in bold. This way those who are in those situations but serious about the item will contact you first. Then you just have to keep track of who bids. Removing a bid once usually keeps a joker from bidding again. And I wouldn't worry about price and what removing a bid might do. Right now this is rated as the best android phone out there (by reviewers, anyways). It'll still sell for $500 -$600 no matter what
I received my Note 2 a few days ago. I found no screen defects, although my volume button is loose (and was confirmed normal as per other XDA member's feedback). I have a tiny black marker above the earpiece on the bezel (also confirmed by another fellow XDA member), and I know it sounds like I have OCD, but $700 dollars is not little. Also, I should mention, I purchased my device without contract from T-Mobile on their website, and the retail box (pristine clean condition) came in a bubble wrapped bag instead of an actual box I was expecting. Lastly, while un-boxing, I noticed I didn't find any plastic clear tape to remove on the sides of the bezel like I did in the previous Note (International version). My Note 2 only came with the T-Mobile Logo on front and Plastic on the back cover. Today, I tried registering the product on Samsung's website, and came across the message that my phone's Manufacture Date is 11/30/1993.
Is whatever I described above something to be concerned about? Or am I just being too anal. What about the warranty? Is my device refurbished? Should I have purchased at a retail store instead? My phone apparently came from Kentucky (Origin on UPS Scan shows Louisville, Kentucky) with a pre-paid return label to Forth Worth, Texas.
Relax..... That's not a refurbished device. You can check under the battery and it will be listed as a refurb.
I had 3 Note 2's with Sprint before moving here. They all came the same way. There's no tape on the sides of the phone. Only the screen and and back cover are protected by plastic.

I have purchased 2 notes from tmobile and they have both come in a padded mailer vs. an actual box. The inside boxes were sealed though, I had to slice through seals to open the box. I recall on the international version the back plastic actually wraps around a little to cover the sides, I think it was the same with the tmobile version as well. You can't rule it out entirely but it seems unlikely you got a refurb, in my opinion.
Thanks for the replies :good:, what about the power / volume button, little black mark, and most importantly, the manufacture date. Have any of you tried registering your devices yet? Please let me know. Thanks again.

Do you even have to ask? Consider the source, the world we live in for a moment. The fact is some devices are sold "New" even if they technically need be listed as refurb. If you feel so confused, instead of asking internet strangers about your own device, I'd return it online and buy one in store if it makes you feel any better. But at the end of the day it's just a cell phone

I'm not feeling confused; its really just the manufacturer date I am more concerned about. It might be just a cell phone to you, but $700 dollars invested into a machine like this is not little. The world we live in now requires most of us to think twice before we buy. Coming to the Note 2, Every Note 2 sold has minute issues like I stated in my first post. I might be just being OCD, lol. Also, It's a Samsung thing--QC at its finest.

Hey I'm I'm your side I'm just saying more action less debate about your money...if I purchase something online and I have doubts I don't need to consult with strangers on what to do. As far as the device heck yeah return it and buy in store if it tickles your fancy, our see a doctor about your ocd. In regards to the manufacturer date..this is not the first nor last gadget to have a funky date some are more accurate others are internal...not a big deal.....this technology clearly didn't even exist back then, uncommon sense tells you it's just a Samsung filler, just a date they used. OP MADE IN CHINA is all you have to see to answer your questions about loose this or that . This isn't the first thread I've seen about loose buttons on this device. . China makes junk , period. But chinese quality control just isnt on par with even korea or the phillipines.

Loose buttons , gps not working very well on more than a couple devices , terrible radios the fragililty of the device itself . I mean I cant tell you how many times Id dropped the MT4GS and I never had any problem with it.

I've noticed quality issues on the Note 2, notably the bezel. The bezel is a throwback to the GS2 with the cheap electroplated plastic. Too easy to scratch, and out of the 3 or 4 I have had, most of them suffered from some sort of manufacturing defect. The GS3s bezel is actually constructed much beter, and I was hoping it would be the same. Instead it's identical to the Note 1 or the GS2.
I wonder how Samsung is able to sell something like this of very poor build quality. It's very shocking and insulting.
Very poor build quality? I have to disagree with you on that. They are built different, lots of plastic that's all. As far as I know anyway. My 3rd Galaxy phone model, and 4th total. I've never had an issue with any of them. However, for $700 I'd expect perfection regardless of where it's made. If you aren't happy definitely contact them.

What are you even talking about??
I've gone through a few Note 2s now (long story), but all of them arrived in a very thin bubblewrap bag, and had the back plastic wrap on loose/wrinkled/something. I'm not sure why that happens, but they were all new and unused. One had a power button that didn't work right, the other had a deep nick on the side (ironically, near the power button) - and that was painted so it was definitely a defect, and then another one had a bad speaker.
The 4th still doesn't sound quite as good as I recall the 1st sounding, but everything otherwise is great and fine so I'm sticking with that one.
Also, I think the front edge of the ring that goes around the sides of the phone has paint that chips, possibly? I think those with the white Note 2s could provide more info about that, because I also see tiny black specs there sometimes, but I can't tell if it's dirt/dust or just the paint, or what? It's really hard to tell since the grey ones are painted really dark hehe.
Awesome phones though!
Also noting: All of these were made in China, and one says rev 1.1 on the box and had a slightly clickier home button (made on 12/3 I think?) but all were virtually identical otherwise. They're really nice phones, just.. not HTC or Apple quality hardware-wise I guess.
Beware of --- Accessory Trend of Brooklyn NY ..... EBay id bestway268
listing stock OEM batteries that are blatant fakes. label is a bit lighter and the font is "thicker" , 1/8 ounce lighter than a real oem (which means its a smaller battery or less mh) , does not fit well in the phone as it is slightly wider, and lastly the molded plastic is not the same as oem.
just wanted to pass this along so nobody wastes their money thinking they are getting oem when they are getting lesser "crap" also if this seller is lying about this they probably are about their other stuff...

sadly no or i wouldnt have posted it... first excuse was oh well its for the international ones... i replied that i own 2 international phones and they were very different, and told them my credentials... i even explained to them the weight, print and molding differences... gave them every opportunity for an easy out, and all i got was you either want the battery or not, if youre not happy send it back but you will get a restock fee... i said no, why dont we let ebay settle this and i got a shipping label in my email like 5 min later because they know that they are selling knockoffs as real and ebay will shut them down if i complained...which i still did...
mistakes are mistakes...ooops and own it.. its that easy. it happens but dont tell a tech that is certified by samsung that something is real when it is blatantly obvious that its not... and then cop a big attitude... not cool .. and im not going to let anyone here get duped either... we have to stick together..
now seller --- docceo --- has nice oem batteries at the same price as the loser selling the fakes...
good handling, we do have to stand up for our rights, if they themselves were duped they need to claim it with their suppliers anyways and fully honour your request/rights for replacement/restitution!
