Heya,
I just installed this new rom (Android Revolution HD 5.1.0) and on that post it says that if u install setcpu u can clock it to 1200 mghz or something. I tried it and I also tried to perflock it but it said it didnt work and I had to mail the developer.
Anyone has an idea how Im able to overclock it? its the gingerbread version btw.
Thx in advance!
New kernel has yet to come for this base, so have patience, it will come soon i think

^ Use the 3.7 ROM if you really want to overclock.
It's also more stable and optimized.
Also the radio for 5.x.x is horrible :S I can hardly get any WIFI signal now.

MDJ has made an OC kernel you can flash through CWM.

this kernal works with all GB roms with sense dont people read its been updated about 10 times since release,
Install MDJ kernel to over clock GB rom.
Guys, is there any undervolt file that we can flash for Gingerbread sense roms to make it more battery efficient?
I guess you are talking about rooted phones with custom sense roms?! Newest version of setcpu can also undervolt:

Hi,
I'm just wondering what is the easiest way to permanently overclock my desire z. At the moment, I've installed custom rom BeatMod Blisssense (Kernel: 2.6.35) Android 2.3.5 sense 3.5 ive done a little research, and found something called OC /uv or something ;S
i would really want to overclock, since running custom rom is kinda laggy ;L could somebody help to point me in the right direction?
Thanks! XD
There are many overclock apps in the market... Oc/uv beater is one possibility and fits well with roms that have a build in oc daemon. The classical app for overclocking is setcpu... But if its your first time overclocking be sure to overclock temporarly and not permanent, because at some point your phone is going to freeze and if you did a permanent oc you have to flash the whole rom again...

Is there a stable Kernel for the stock 2.3.5 ROM? I want to overclock my Wildfire S but I want to be stable. Because before flashing 2.3.5 I tried to put custom Kernel for 2.3.3 from here but when I overclocked it, it freezes on screens and I need to pull out the battery. So is there stable custom Kernel for 2.3.5 stock ROM?
Maybe your CPU couldn't handle the overclock.
Each yield of processors are different some better than others especially when overclocking.
I had stock rom 2.3.3 with overclock kernel and I was running at 806mhz no problems.
Wait for a overclock kernel, theres none available yet, then try it.
Hello people , I rooted my desire 2.3.3 official with Superuser , but when I have opened No frills cpu , minimum cpu what can I select was 128 mhz and maximum 980 mhz ...I mean there must be a 1190 mhz but its missing , please help
What did u use to root? HTC Desire?
Maximum MHz is 1113..
Try installing Rom Toolbox and check there.
It's probably your kernel. There's CronMod kernel for Gingerbread, try that. Using it w/ CyanogenMod 7.2 and I get 1220MHz Overclock.
Some kernels doesn't allow overclock at all ( Like sense ones ).
Edit:
CronMod ( Rom w/ Kernel )
Download it below in main post. ( Under CronMod Kernel )
Don't flash it on Sense rom. If you want your Sense roms, then take a look at Development section and flash a sense rom.
They are most likely to be better than official roms, because of features like A2SD or INT2EXT and extended overclocking capabilities.

Did you flash a custom Sense / rom or a custom kernel? I meantioned that a post before.
As I said, you kernel might be restricting the overclock.
Edit:
Now I am using Evervolv Kitkat 26.12.13 nightly, It's great, got 1113 OC with it, A little bit less than with cronmod, but still good speed.
Really, Don't stay with stock sense, since you can't do much with it, If you want sense there's plenty of roms in Development section, w/ kernel optimisations and larger overclocks ( sounds kinky) .
If you don't know how to flash a custom rom / kernel ( w/ recovery ) then you should check tutorials of doing that.
My config;
- CM7r2 hboot
- 4EXT Recovery
- 2GB ext4 partition
- 32GB Sandisk Extreme Class 10 card
- CM 7.2.0.1 - rom altered by me with 7Zip and UOT Kitchen
- Go Launcher EX

Like EviLShadeZ says; it depends on the ROM, and the kernel.. Rooting ur phone, does not automatically mean wild OC'ing..
Besides, most (if not all..?!) CyanogenMod ROMS have built-in CPU control, so u wont need NO frills CPU, or whatever..
