[Q] Mount Network Share? - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have multiple windows network shared folders that I would like to mount. The main point in doing this would be so that I can play videos on my epic without having to do the convert&stream/copytoSD shuffle.
I would like to get either CIFSManager to work, or Mount Manager. I've tried multiple kernel/rom combinations with no luck. Has anybody been able to get this to work on their Epic?
As far as I know, there isn't a cifs.ko compiled for the Epic 4G, which may be causing the problem. I tried using a cifs.ko that was compiled for other Galaxy S devices, but that didn't seem to work.
If anybody has any info on how to get this working, it would be greatly appreciated. I am currently on stock DI18, but I have no problem flashing to something else if that will help my situation.

Need help with PRL, MMS, and GPS. Cricket flashed Evo 4g.

Still kind of a noob to all of this...
I've read multiple threads on how to get these functions working correctly. Most of these either don't make much sense to me, even after hours of trying to research them. Beyond that, after hours of trying and looking through multiple sources, threads, and forums, cannot get ADB working, nor can I get the proper drivers to install (yes I booted in recovery mode, still, no luck, even after manually downloading the drivers.). I have been trying to use ES File Explorer to place files in my /system dir manually.
I have found one thread about how to get MMS and GPS working with CM7, which is what I'm running, but it involves using ADB, as well as updating a PRL (which I have no idea how to do). The following link is where i found this info:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793588&page=4
In addition, I tried flashing Jiminy mod, but I guess I didnt do it right, cuz I noticed to differences or changes. Sorry if it seems like I haven't done my research, because I have. Its just hard to start learning this stuff if there is no clear starting point for learning it all.
I've been trying for about 2 months to get my GPS and MMS working, but to no avail. Please, if anyone has some helpful insight to offer, I would greatly appreciate your time and effort in this. Thanks a lot, guys!

[Q] Clockwork flashable stock Rom/Kernel etc.

So, for whatever reason, my USB connecting ability stopped working on my T989 a couple weeks back and I've given up trying to get it working. I tried multiple Roms, multiple cables, confirmed it with a side by side connection attempt with another sgs2 in hand, nothing has worked.
As if that isn't annoying enough, I need to return it for warranty exchange but can't use Odin to flash the files I've been able to find in the stock threads.
My question: Does anyone know of a completely stock Rom/Kernel I can flash using Clorkwork Rom Manager? Is it even possible that way?

[Q] Get information out of a s3 with broken screen and doesn't respond to touch.

Hello!
I have tried to search many sites and a lot on XDA, with no luck finding a solution to my problem.
My S3's screen is broken(all black, can't use touch).
Now, is there anyone who know a way to get information(contacts, pictures, messages) out from a S3, while not being able to use the screen?
I do not have an SD-Card.
I THINK debugging is off(unfortunately).
I have tried download mode(not sure if it is even possible in any way, but just tried it).
I have tried Kies.
I can see the phone on my computer, but when I access the folder, nothing is there.
If anyone got any solution that might work, I would really appreciate it.

What you would want to do is go thru recovery. I do not believe stock recovery would work here so youll need to flash a custom one. Without being able to see the screen this will be a tad challenging but possible. PM me and i can guide you through it

[Q] HELP?

I have a Sprint GS3 that doesn't work. I can boot into download mode but I get a failed message every time I try to install a stock Rom. or any Rom for that matter. I have tried different cables, different computers and even different Odins. But I cant get it to work. The phone boots up but then says Encryption Error. I would be willing to compensate anyone you can get my phone working again. Please PM me if you are interested
Thanks for your help
Use one of the newer recoveries from this thread, specifically one of the mod2 files. That fixed most devices.
A more descriptive subject line might get you more help.
