Ruby 2.0, is it stable? Buglist? - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I found a link to Ruby 2.0 and want to try it out but have not seen anything above 1.4 on xda. I'm wondering how stable it is or if anyone knows the bugs in it. Thanks

I seen that but only looked at the beginning of the title. Thanks

Its stable but it does not give you much beyond CM 6.1 and with CM7 already looking so good.... you might seriously want to try those.

Good roms and kernels

Hi, I am currently a vibrant owner but I am getting sick of the GPS issues and the lack of support mainly a full source of 2.2 that runs good aside from just fast. Tmobile is sending me a G2 and I will have some time to see how I like it, I was looking for some input as far as roms and kernels go for if I decide to keep it.
I had a mytouch 3g before all this and loved the cyanogen and noticed there was a cyan rom for this and I would love to get some input on how it is, good or best or what have you. If you know of any better as far as functionality and speed go please toss me some idea so I can begin researching it.
There is a CyanogenMOD 6.1 (Android 2.2.1) ROM for the G2, They are actively working on CM7 (Android 2.3) and I would expect it to come out in the next month or so.
I'm still on the stock ROM because I'm waiting for CM7.
Expect the G2 to be similar to the G1 in terms of the amount and variety of roms. There appears to be quite a bit of support for this device.

Cyanogenmod and visionary have been the ones I've used and both are excellent. Cyanogenmod has been written about in how great it is, and visionary is a great sense rom if you care for that stuff.

Check out miui rom in android development! I'm currently using it! Its awesome. I went from stock to CM 6 then Virtious then MIUI. And I think for me Miui is the best rom, it incorporates so many things...and the new release is even more awesome.

[Q] Most stable. Sense 3.0 rom

I'm a diehard aosp Rom flasher because I like the customabilty and flexability they offer. My wife on the other hand is used to the HTC sense experience but she wants me to root her evo, so I"m asking all you Sense lovers out there to weigh in on the most stable Rom's using Sense 3.0, she"s gonna be mad if i constantly have to fix her phone. Thanks in advance for your opinions!

ok your question is the most stable 3.0 sense rom.. u havent got any answer cuz theres no 3.0 roms yet i believe.. the only ones ull find are the 2.3 theres too many out there that are stable.. i was using the salvage 1.2.1 for me that rom was stable and everythng works the battery life for me was very good i didnt have any problem with that i was satisfied with that rom.. no problem at all.. oh yea i forgot just one problem random reboots. but thats like once a week. no no problem with that.. right now im testibg the miks rom 2.3 with sense 2.1 and some other stuffs with sense 3.0. i forgot to mention that the salvage 1.2.1 was senseless.

lol sorry man, but i havent really had a stable rom they all have the same issue which is that the lockscreen takes a long while to load and sense keeps on restarting with my phone so yeah for me, none yet
Might I suggest MikG, if you want Sense 2.1 with a lot of 3.0 ported over? I would say that the most stable 3.0 ROMs are based on the Kingdom port, so look for Virus's ROM. I also like BeKinged, which has a lot of bloat removed.

here are some 3.0 sense roms,
BOS kingdom port R4: most stable i have tried so far
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1088908
VirusROM Kingdom REVOlution B1.1: original porter of the sense 3.0 for evo, if im not mistaken
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1071547
BeKinged B1 sense 3.0: havent tried this one, downloaded but just havent flashed
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1096682
[WIP][DEV]HTC Sensation Port[2.3.3][sense 3.0]: this is a work in progress, developer rom, but sense 3.0 none the less
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1035350&highlight=sense+3.0
But if you want stable and new, i would go with sense 2.1 alot more stable, and alot of them have sense 3.0 apks that are flashable. plus its a update from sense 1.0, a couple new features.
for the sense 2.1 roms use the search button theyre are alot of them.
hope this helps, if so thanx button is there for a reason
MikG or AVA... seems like the rest just theme off of their ROMS
Thanks for the info, but there's no Thanks button on mobile app so THANK YOU!

I've been using this for a few days now. With this ROM, the new OTA kernel, and the new radio, my phone is getting great battery life and it's running very smoothly.
The only thing that i have noticed that isn't working on this ROM, after flashing the new kernel, is Google Earth. It force closes a lot. Hopefully the next version of the ROM will correct it.
The MikG is probably the best of them all with its 2.1/3.0 hybrid. I haven't been happy with the full blown 3.0 sense ROMs. I like for everything to work including cameras, video, 4G etc. I'm gonna wait for the EVO 3D a device that was actually designed to run 3.0. It reminds me of people running Vista on a Pentium III.
Went with Saks Virus port... my girl totally loves it, no issues yet (fingers crossed)

Still running CM7.2

Hey folks
Quick question for you all. I'm still running CM7.2 and have seen loads of other alternatives since browsing these forums. My question is what would be the next best rom for me to try?
I'm not too hung up on the whole sense thing and prefer my phone to be fast and functional with some eye candy. I like the whole ICS look and can't wait for CM9 but just fancy a change so what can you recommend for me?
Cheers!
Best rom for you to try is the best that you like. There is no real answer.

Ok what I meant was... Point me in the right direction!!
There might not be a real answer but I was only looking for an opinion
IceColdSandwich by Lord Clockan is my recommendation. It's a fully working, super smooth ICS ROM. It's just as fast as CM 7.2, which I used for a long time.
There's also aospX by existz from the Inspire 4G forum (as you might know, ROMs for both devices are fully inter-compatible). It's based off AOSP source with as little modifications as possible, while IceColdSandwich is based off AOKP source with parts of CM too. There's no better one between these two, they're made differently according to the preferences of the individual devs. existz wanted a pure AOSP experience so he made aospX, and Lord Clockan wanted AOKP + CM customizations. Both are fully working ROMs including video camera (480p) and are the only such ones for DHD.

Redemption is quite good as well.
You will need gapps for all of them, I don't know which is the lattest number.
In gb blackice and absolution are good. There is also one made by: and please pardon the bad spelling hrkdn, which seems to be a briallant barebone rom.

[Q] Stable Rom for ICS

Ive looked around the Development forum but i havent really seen any Rom's that are stable with ICS. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?
Plenty of folks are using Andromadus Mimicry, now at v. 1.5.0. I think it's the most popular ICS ROM just now. There is also jerl92's CM 9.1 ROM, I haven't flashed that myself but I think it has a fair number of users, too. And then there are Sense ROMs, but them I don't know at all.
Lots to choose from!

[Q] Comparing Inc CM7 builds.

i've been trying numerous CM builds in my dinc including PONS builds, condemned, and the newest nightlys. i still havent been able to really solidify that one is better than the other. anyone wanna share some experience on which might be better? specifically ive been deciding between the newest nightlys and condemned's stable build. which do you guys think is better?
I've always like Pons' kangs for the open commits. Maybe if you ask really nicely, he'll update his build. However there may not be any changes worth rebuilding for.

Sent from my ADR6300 using xda app-developers app
another big question is, do you guys all use adrenaline mod? if so, with what rom? i found that adrenaline didnt have much of an effect on condemned, whereas on the new nightlys (like the one posted today), it seems to make a big difference. is this because of the tweaks done to condemned? are they better tweaks? sorry if i sound like some college girl who knows nothing but this has been rocking my mind a bit
Which ROM is best/most stable is subjective depending on who you talk to, ask 10 different people, get 10 different answers. These types of threads aren't encouraged and hence closed but you can read and join in with the discussion in the General forum here as this was left to stop further threads being opened.
Thanks
