[q] How do I tell what kind of screen my Dinc has? - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I got my HTC Incredible as a warrantied replacement for my original moto Droid. I have no idea what type of screen the phone has, AMOLED vs SLCD though. How do I find out? I've tried looking at like all the " about phone" type menus and options everywhere.

Pretty sure this is good:
Goto Settings -> About Phone -> HW Info -> HW Version
xxx2 = AMOLED
xxx3 = LCD

I don't see a Hardware Info option on my About Phone settings menu thing.

it's below the battery... the 5th one down

About phone screen should look like this;
{

I'm running CM-7 on it. That might be why I'm not seeing that option. Let me see if I can restore my original stock build and possibly see what it says then.

It's also listed behind your battery. No need to reflash.

I could be wrong, but...
Shipped with 2.1? it's AMOLED.
Shipped with 2.2? SLCD.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Look on the box, if the SKU is ADR6300VW3 then it is SLCD. The ending 3 in the SKU designates SLCD. AMOLED are blank or have a number two.

Launcher Pro ???

So I was messing in the settings somewhere and enabled a setting that when the screen goes off, it goes back to my homescreen on unlock. Meaning say i'm sending an email and set the phone down and screen goes off...when I turn it back on, it goes to my homescreen and not to the email I was composing...I have looked for 40 mins and cannot find it..
Anyone have an idea where this setting is???
Thanks in advance.
You sure that setting exists in Launcher Pro? I just looked through every screen in LP's preferences and couldn't find a setting to match the behavior you speak of. Maybe it's a ROM specific setting?
Yeah, this definitely isn't a Launcher Pro setting. Can you tell us what ROM you're running? Perhaps a modified lock screen, too?
I specifically remember checking the box but cannot remember where. I am running Fresh 3.3 on NA 4.1.9
Thanks for looking, guys...if its not LP...I wonder if it was beautiful widgets...or reg settings...its so annoying.
Edit: FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!

[Q] Non Standard LCD Density & Sense 3 Lock Screen

I've changed the LCD density on my phone recently, and everything seems OK except for the HTC Sense 3 lockscreen, which doesn't seem to have scaled properly.

I was wondering if anyone here knew of anything I can do to get it to scale properly
Any help would be appreciated!
I think you would need to use the tools available to re jig the screen size for the lockscreen (M100 or whatever it is called), I had this problem with the "Lense" style on CM7 when i changed to 180

I've been searching around for tools like that, but can't find any! Searching for M100 doesn't come up with anything
I think its an M10 tool that requires a decent set of programming knowledge (or at least it did when I last heard of it)

[Q] LCD Panel Version A or B

Hi
I have read through the immense LCD Replacement Thread and it seems that there are two versions according to this:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
.
I was considering purchasing the one from vifocal which seems to be version A - but apparently fits any version of OPO. Can this be correct?
Also, does anyone know of a way to check which LCD panel version without disassembling the phone?
the oneplus one lcd screen already won't have A or B version yet,some of the old oneplus one lcd screen may like the left pictures,now all original oneplus one lcd screen is is on the right version

Destroyed my Rk3188?? Installed Malaysk wrong resolution

Hey Guys,
I just tried to install Malaysk Rom on my Rk3188 MTCC Device.
Unfortunately I've chosen The wrong resolution.
I Installed The 800x480 instead of the 1024x600 version.
The device boots, but I online See a Black screen, with a home button and a menu Button, thats all.
I tried to just install The correct version but that doesn't seem to help. In recovery Mode I get the following different screens (one screen is some info about the factory version)

HTC 10 Sprint Screen touch position incorrect

Hello everyone!
So the top 3/4" of my HTC 10 stopped working about 4 months into owning the phone. I tried getting HTC to replace/repair my device, but I forgot to reset it to stock before I sent it in and they decided my warranty was now void and the logic board replacement would run me $350+. I've been using the device for over a year now by using gestures as a workaround.

}
I had been researching ways to change the positioning of the screen down so I could use it more or less as normal.
I came across the overscan command in ADB. I shifted the screen down to 0,300,0,0 and to my surprise the screen did the exact same thing as it was before I added the margin, just lower down the LCD.
With this I figure the problem must be a software issue instead of a hardware issue as HTC originally implied.
I am currently running ResurrectionRemix 5.8.3 although I have tried several roms and they all produce the same problem.
Is there a way to adjust the digitizers margins so that my touch will line up correctly?
It may be worth noting that when I touch the "dead" area, it does register the touch just under where I'm actually pressing.
Any and all help will be very appreciated.
