do any of the leds work? If your battery completely dies the red light should start flashing when you try to turn it on

can you give a little bit more info like what exactly you where flashing, what you were using to flash it with etc
In the mean time try pulling the battery and letting it sit for awhile or using a spare/batt charger if you have one
Did you happen to pull your battery while trying to flash the updated radios??
If so head down to sprint and just tell them your phone won't come on..... because its officially bricked!

Did you have to buy a new one?
I did the same thing. I went to the Sprint store and explained that Iwas downloading the OTA 2.2 update (just didn't say which one) when it bricked and they ordered a new Evo. Apparently the very LASTthing you should do is yank the battery during the process.
It was still under warranty.

If the phone wont boot and is bricked, then that's it, it's dead Jim.
They cannot exactly boot it up at the store and check on it now can they.
Sucks.
I agree with the others though. Might as well take advantage of the warranty while the OTA update is still in effect. Makes for a good story anyway...
Somehow I think someone will chime in and say that this is not right or something though.... just used to forums, lol.
Luck!
So, i think i bricked my device. Downloaded caulkin rom and tried to flash it. when i booted into rogue rootbloater i flashed the rom from my downloads. my bad. why does it matter though whether or not i flash from internal or external memory. annnd ?
It doesnt matter if the rom is in the internal or sd unless dev says something about it in op. As far as your brick, im not understanding fully what you mean

If I would have had a sd i would not have a brick right now though :/
I think. cause the new rom switched bootloaders and the new one only recog'ed the sd i think.

Do you want help or not? The E4GT is a very difficult phone to brick and 9 times out of 10 when a noob thinks their phone is bricked, it's actually easily recoverable. But if you don't help us help you, you might as well just toss the phone down the garbage disposal.
Can you get into download mode?

Hi my new Note II has just decided to reboot and it's sitting on the Samsung Logo. I'm only running the stock ROM. It's been sitting there for 10minutes now. I'm worried it might be SDS but I don't want to take battery out and reboot it as I'm scared it could be? it wouldn't be automatic updates? They don't take that long do they??
Someone help please!

An update shouldn't take this long right? It's been 15minutes like this. I haven't flashed anything on the device only run Expynos abuse to root it and put Xposed framework for multi app but that's it. Nothing else. Guess it softbricked itself somehow wtf?
EDIT: I took battery out and put it back in and rebooted. It's back!! but why the hell did it do this??

I don't know what happened there but 15 minutes is a lot of time. You'll probably need to remove your battery or hold power button until it reboots.
If it still gets stuck on samsung logo you'll probably need to wipe

That's what I was thinking hmm.
This happened yesterday, I had the usual random freeze on my phone. Thought I just had to wait for it to restart, but this time it didn't. So I had to pull the battery out, and power it on from there.
Only, it didn't want to. No matter how long I press the power button, no response. I can't get into recovery or download mode. I have a spare stock battery and it won't power up with that too. The phone does however, heat up when the battery is inside. I tried leaving it without the battery overnight and then placing the battery back, but still no luck.
My phone is rooted, running AOSPAL ParanoidAndroid (4.3), with fancy kernel.
I hope someone can help me, and I hope my phone isn't bricked.
That happened to me once and yes, the phone was briked...

Generally speaking if the device doesn't even power up, then yes its bricked. sorry to tell you my friend. The main part of the device that powers up initially is the main bootloader in the logic board, so what has happened most likely is it just failed. kinda of like the bios on a pc. if the bios fails, then the computer can no longer be told to turn on.

My niece has a Note 2 that had been giving her grief ever since she updated to kit Kat. She said that it will not charge her phone all of the way not unless she turns the phone off first. She didn't have any problems with it on 4.3. Is there a way to downgrade it back to 4.3? This phone is stock and not rooted.

No, I'm sure she hasn't. She just took the OTA and went with it. I'll have her try that.

I had her factory reset it and she said that the battery drains quicker. I told her to give it a day or so to see if it improves. She said it did charge all the way though.

That's good to know. Tell her to let it charge over night with the phone off(or on airplane mode) then let it completely drain without using it(if possible) to get more accurate battery levels.

OH! I know this one! That's a boot loader issue. The only way to charge a powered-off i317 running Android 4.4 is by running the 4.4 boot loader. So your choices are: A) install the 4.4 boot loader B) Live with it. I'd live with it. I'm still on the original 4.1 bootloader. If you need your phone to charge faster, just put it in airplane mode.
Thanks

my phone is stuck in a dead state, i upgraded bootloader to NE5 and it says it charging but always stays in a 0% state, if i use my wifes s3 battery it boots up fine and even has charging led but never will boot from my battery and even if it does it always shuts right off cause my battery wont hold a charge.
