Trackpad to pickup/end calls - G2 and Desire Z Themes and Apps

Is there an app that allows me to click my track pad to pick up or hang up on calls? Just wondering? This would be neat to have.

I believe it's built into cyanogenmod as well, at least it is on gingerbread. Go menu>settings>call settings>scroll all the way down and you have trackball answer and hangup.

So this works on the G2 with CM6.1.1?

Let me re-Fraze the original question a bit
Is there an app that allows me to click my track pad to pick up or hang up on calls? For none rooted phones ? Phones with stock ROM ? Just wondering? This would be neat to have.
thanks

It might have been mentioned but this will make your call settings crash if you are on stock tmobile rom and will disable all call/data services.
Of course rooted with custom kernal but stock rom it will not work. Awesome mod though..will wait till I can get this working on tmo us g2 rom

[Q] Best slide [ROM].

Hey everyone. My wife decided her mytouch slide is a little too laggy for her. I have rooted and flashed HTC phones and my vibrant with great success. I am going to do her phone this weekend but I need some help please. I do NOT follow this forum at all so I have no idea what [ROM]s are stable and functioning for everyone else. If I could please get some input from you guys that have been here and have tested these out it would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance
Start with the Slide bible: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=704567
Personally, I think this is the easiest root method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=754020
If you want Froyo, Cyanogen is very good if you don't need bluetooth: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=755118
If bluetooth is important for you, CR_Mod is said to be an excellent 2.1 ROM. I haven't tried it personally, Froyo is too yummy for me to go back. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7534187#post7534187
Good luck!
The dopio oc kernels are also very stable esp at 768 and 806. Just use set cpu app to maximize battery life.
The cm nightlies are also usually very stable.
The slide reloaded rom is also a sweet themed version of cr's full ota rom.

Yeah was looking for froyo but not necessary. Looked through the bible but wanted some real world feedback. I'm usually partial to eugene373's roms. But cyanogen is a god. Thanks guys. I'll let it ride for a lil while before I make a decision.

Yeah, for my uses, Cyan with the dopio kernel is the way to go 100%. But you never know, once you get the ENG flashed, let your wife play with all the ROMs she can handle until she finds one she likes. ROM Manager makes it ridiculously easy.
What about the galaxy slide rom by infinitybiff? Anyone tried that? I don't use touch wiz on my vibrant but the wife might like it. Still leaning towards cyan. Just need something fast and stable for her. I'm gonna have to theme it for her myself cause there is no one doing that.

after you flash a rom.. do you just flash the dopio oc kernel in clockwork recovery?

Yes, just make sure you back up first, in case you want to switch back.
cyanogenmod or crmod
I just flashed Galaxy Slide Beta the other day after using CR for the longest time. its the first ROM that i have flashed (and there have been many) that i didn't immediately flash straight back to CR. i am having a minor trouble with the color scheme in the notification pull down and i haven't tried all the features yet... (i.e. bluetooth, tethering, and maybe one or two more) but all in all i love it!

The dopio kernel is integrated into cyanogenmod 6.1+, no need to flash it over again, but other roms you will have to flash it.

Cyanogenmod is froyo, and based off of the AOSP source, so it has a more vanilla flavor to it. CR_Mod is just the rooted stock OTA ROM with a wifi tether, and a2ext built in. CR_Mod is also eclair, it just all depends on what you like better, the latest vanilla customizable stuff, or the more stock HTC sense feel, with all of the t-mobile stuff.

Try CyanogenMod 7 or use Google and install Ultimate Droid Mod 3.3.0. If you prefer the HTC UI called Sense UI you could use Virtuous Rom. If you prefer the "iPhone"-Style (please dont punish me for that xD) you could use a MIUI rom.

xboarder's rom is built from CM7 source, but isn't CM7 itself. still, it is new and if you like it, it should work better than GV1.5 in terms of bugs.
be on the lookout for a gingervillain update sometime in the future, though. I've been waiting for a loooong time for 2.0 to roll out.

when GV 1.5 came out, in my humble opinion, it was the best aosp rom available. not sure when we will see an update, but when we do I don't doubt that it will be pretty slick.

Hello,
Is there anyone that can kindly recoomend and point me in the right direction to a pure gingerbread rom (not CM7)? Preferably based on the G2 update, that is up to date, pure and stable?
Thanks

Believe it or not its faster, I tested it last week. RMK said he was going to release it. Don't know why he didn't though.
RC isn't available for download anymore.
The cyanogen/mix rom appears to just be a paint job. Not worth it IMHUMBLEO. Virtuous g-lite is really the only other thing. Sorry
Xboarder's Pure/stock rom is what I'm using now. It's fast and stable in my opinion.

Thanks for the replies, Been using CM7 nightlies, been great, but sometimes feels somewhat unfinished and often get force closes and crashes when using normal apps. Sense is great but in my opinion is a bit of a memory hog.
Just installed xboarder56 pure stock gingerbread rom:

Wish there were more roms based on the official T-mo G2 gingerbread rom.

I've been using CM7 since the first nightlies and its been months since I've seen a force close. I realize everyone has a different setup and therefore different issues though.
I've also checked out the xboarder56 ROM. Very good if you want super stock.

You guys have hard kernels that will OC to 1.28 for long time now. If no dev is putting those in anymore, it's probably because they aren't stable for much of anyone. Besides, the process size of the Scorpion on that devise would require ridiculous voltages to remain stable at that **** speed.
