This is almost the 4th time I have tried flashing this rom. Never gets past the Evo 4G white screen at all. I have tried 3 different ways.
Clockwork (2 different versions)
RA
Download through Rom Manager
I then tried flashing CM 6.1 just to see if it would work and it worked just fine. I am downloading the file from the Myn official thread. It's Rls 4. Seeing how big the thread is and all the people using it, I know it works for tons of people.
I do all the steps as in wipe all the data and everything.
Any ideas on what could be the problem?

The RLS4 does not work well with the new radios..did u update your radios? Also if you did RLS5 is coming out very soon which does work with the new radios. If that is your situation I would recommend flashing a 3.70 rom that is out until RLS5 comes out. If you didnt update your radios i would ask in the myn thread about your situation. Lots of developments lately with recoveries and Hboots that you may want to look into to make sure you are runnig the correct recovery for your evo.
Actually I did update my new radios. When I probably should not have. My build is 3.3 and I had the 1.9 PRI and it caused my phone to stay in 100% wake and drain the battery constantly even with no use. Went back to 1.7 and it worked like a charm.
How can I flash back down to an older version radio? I have not tried this and I believe this may be the problem
Thanks man!!
Installed the older radio version and it started up like a charm!

last OTA update upgraded the radios for the evo...look in android development you can find caulkins thread about the new radios. He has an all in one package that can upgrade your radios or downgrade if need be.
edit: Look in my sig the updated wimax link

new to rooting and flashing roms. there is onw problem I am having. When I flash a rom gps suddenly goes out the window, none of the indicators pop up in the notification bar, maps and navigation have a problem finding my location, and most of the time my phone doesn't know where I am. Now if I unroot back to stock everything goes back to normal which is weird to me but what I would like to ask the community is that, What can I do to fix this issue? Do I need to flash a fix or is there nothing I can do?
I'm sure you've already done this but you did go in to your location settings menu and checked the ones that apply? I haven't heard of this and it must not be a hardware issue if it works fine on stock..
that's what I thought... honestly I haven't tried all the roms (mostly just the stock roms) but I have flashed at least four, all with the same results. I would just keep it stock so I have a fully working phone but the only unrooted flash I know of is on the Unlockr site which will unroot it back to 2.1 and I don't know if I can live that far in the past
The other weird thing is in locations there is an option for location on and E911 . The E911 is checked on and it says that E911 cannot be checked off on any mobile device. Ask the other times it gives me an option. I am currently running Magnolia Final's latest version

when I flash through hboot should I wipe as if I'm flashing another rom? I flashed a 2.2 ruu before the OTA went out and I ended up bootlooping and everything forced closed on me. I think that's what made me root in the first place.
where do i go to get it
Having the same issue my GPS has not worked for like the past 6 months if anyone has found a fix to the problem. I'm running lous #8 the new evo radio .04.08

Im currently running AVA-Froyo Z3, thinking about flashing a Synergy Nightly but in the meantime im sticking with this one. Lately I have noticed slow browser speeds and bad reception in general and though I might try flashing the new radios that release on the 3rd with the gingerbread update. I flash roms all the time but I have never flashed a radio update. Do i do this the same way as a rom? Boot into recovery (btw im using RA-Recovery V2.3) and wipe dalvik Cache and then flash zip from sd? Is there a risk doing this? Im know radio update questions have been posted before but I dont know if the radio update is risky on a rom specific level. ANy help would be appreciated
yeah just like that just make sure your battery is charged and also dont get desperate and let it do its think before you start pressing things or try a battery pull, first boot will take longer
It depends where you got the files. Some have to be flashed via hboot/bootloader.
But if you got then from the calvn thread (misspelled im sure) then you flash them like you do a rom, but you dont have to wipe anyting. I didnt and things are fine.

just like the other poster said its no different than flashing roms. Just follow directions and wait but please be patient
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715485 - use the combo its what I used and just sit back and wait
Very important to make sure you have enough battery charge and do not pull your battery while doing this process. Don't let it fall out your hand while doing it either, lol. Sure way to get a bricked evo while flashing radio updates and the battery pops out or dies.
yeah, and just in case you missed it, DO NOT PULL YOUR BATTERY!!!
I need to flash mine, too....
This flashing radios **** always makes me nervous.
Pulling battery while updating radios WILL brick your phone...so like a few others have said DON'T PULL YOUR BATTERY
Swyped from my Raided Evo
Got it. Phone charged no battery pull. Patience. Thanks for the quick response guys. Going to try it now. Hoping it goes well will let you know

I haven't played with 3G yet, but at work, I had a full signal and normally, it's 2 bars.
WiFi is still fast as ever
I'm getting full signal where I had only a bar or two. It helped a lot

Hey guys! I have recently installed the Synergy RC2 ROM and since the install have not been receiving most of the texts that have been sent to me. A few will come through but not all. I have tried updating the radios but not sure if I have there right ones or not. Any one have a solution to this problem?

Sprint was having some text issues the past couple days but I think they're largely resolved now. Calkulin has a thread in the development section where you can get the latest radio bundle, I'd link it but not at my computer currently. Also try updating your PRL and then Profile after you get the radio package flashed. Also make sure you're using Amon_Ra for recovery. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I just flashed the latest radios from Caulkins thread right before you responded and also updated the profile and prl. Ill have to get some text convos going before I can say if it worked.

Try another reboot as well, then attempt to update the prl then profile. If you still get error then just try later.

Greetings, I have this dilemma. My friend has the Epic 4g which was running froyo 2.2.1 I believe. It also had one click root 2.5 installed but still running on the stock firmware. She asked me to unroot it so she could update to froyo 2.3.5.
She backed up all her information using titanium backup. After updating to 2.3.5 she attempted to restore all of her data but titanium backup said it needed to be rooted in order to restorethe data. I attempted to install the latest one click root but I keep getting this message about adb not working and to try again. I apologize I do not have the device in front of me to tell you exactly what was said. I will attempt to install it later on today. I just seeking advice on any other methods to install one click root?
I'm not for sure the one click root works with 2.3.5 to be honest with u but search the forum for the newest clockworkmod. Should be 5 something and its legit for it... anyone else to chime in and correct me go for it

One click roots do not work on Gingerbread. It would have been easier to flash a GB prerooted ROM while still on Froyo like this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1340385&highlight=deodexed+EI22
Now that she did the OTA you will need to follow this:

Well it looks like my phone is g2g. I updated cwm, the modem, and applied that GPS fix. All the bugs I had with froyo appear to be gone and my phone is working like I think it should have when I first bought it. But I guess that's what you get for going with bleeding edge hardware. Now Ill just what for that cyanogenmod to leave the alpha stages and research some of the other roms. (Or pretend that ICS comes out for the epic haha).
I wonder if sprint will release another update to fix the GPS and any other bugs that are floating around...

No, because the average Epic user on the street thinks their phone works great. I know several. Only us extreme users notice the bugs.

HI. I AM FAIRLY NEW TO THE ROM FLASHING SCENE. HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL FOR THE LAST FEW MONTHS AT FLASHING ROMS. THEN I THINK I STEPED OUT OF BOUND AND BEGAN TO TRY FLASHING NEW KERNELS. HAVE BEEN SEARCHING WEB ALL DAY ON WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ I MAY HAVE FLASHED A KERNEL FROM ONE MOD TO ANOTHER. OR POSSSIBLY INTERRUPTED THE ZIP INSTALL OR FLASH. NOW WHEN I TRY TO FLASH BACK UP ROMS THEY BOOT LOOP OR JUST STAY ON BOOT SCREEN. SAYS NO PC36IMG at the hboot screen. please help.
Are you using the newest HBOOT from HTC? I heard that you can't flash kernels on it...
Maybe the .zip didn't download completely. What kernel did you try to flash, can you even access recovery?
HBOOT 6.16.1002. i was flashing a tiamat kernel. didnt like it and when i tried another one is when it happened. not sure if i did all the wipes. was late and was getting tired
by the way iwas running cynogen mod 7.1 rooted with revolutionary. when i flashed a few kernals some wouldnt work so i tried ra recoery and they installed. i then installed TWOP RECOVERY. TRIED TO INSTAL A MIK ROM AND THATS THE FIRST TIME I GOT THE BOOTLOOP AND IT WAS LIKE THAT EVERYSINCE

well tiamat will not work on any mik rom that i know of because (all?) mik roms are sense roms. if its a sense rom then you need a sense kernel. aosp rom needs aosp kernel. go into recovery and flash a sense kernel. that should fix your bootloop
Well im guessing that was the problem then. Well at least i know the source of the problem. Now can it be fixed. Can you give me a sense kernal to try out

Twrp recovery more than. Likely killed your phone, if you had read the thread you would have known it is no longer supported for the evo for this very reason,as it has been known to permanently brick evos with no fix by screwing up the partitions

Flash amon ra in hboot and get off of twrp b4 u end up screwed first and foremost then try wiping everything in amon ra except sdcard and battery stats and flash a new rom and see if it will boot up if you can't get recovery to load you may need to try running an ruu and starting from scratch
