Vibrant Holster

Bought this holster for Vibrant. When on the belt its almost a whole case (bodyglove) smaller (slimmer) then bodyglove itself. Quality is OK, holster is made so that the phone goes in with screen out, but it still can hold the phone with screen inside.....again its not made for that, but it holds fine. I still prefer Seidio cases and holsters but they dont make them for vibrant yet, and bodyglove is just ....... SUCKS

no, its the quality of the plastic but they are sending me a new one free of charge so at least its good customer service. I will post about how the second one is when I get it but i still think a Droid X holster is the best belt clip option for the Vibrant

i've tried it, it serves its purpose very well, i just didnt like it in general.

No, I was planning on possibly posting pics of the Ballistic Case to convince everyone that this is an awesome case. My wife and I are using the Cyclops right now, and it rocks. But I would like something more rugged for when I go to work.

I think I may stick with my Trident Cyclops until I can get a decent discount.

I have been waiting for this case for a while now!! I have been in constant contact with Ballistic about the release date and so forth through phone and email. After they posted the new pics of the redesigned back, and delayed the release even further...I went out and bought the Seidio Innocase Rugged with Holster and LOVE it!! Was considering the Otterbox Defender as I love the Impact and Commuter but the Defender got horrible reviews....
SO, with 40%, I will probably jump back on board. At $50....I'll stick with my RUGGED and like it!! The Seidio Rugged seriously is an AWESOME case, and having the Innocase too is nice. I bought it just for work, the evenings and weekends I let the Evo run around naked. Though I have found myself taking off the exoskeleton and silicone case and leaving on the Innocase in the evenings...its pretty nice!

I have to disagree on the Seidio case. I thought it was great when I first got it, but after just a couple weeks the port covers were tearing back into the case and I had to cut them off to stop the tearing. Then one day when I went to take the skeleton off, a piece of it just snapped off in my hand. The camera cover wouldn't stay pinned back anymore, so I had to cut that off too. Finally, the holster is a really poor design. The lock gets unlocked too easily and then the phone can just fall out. It should be made so you push down to lock it and pull up to unlock.

That sucks!! Hope that doesnt happen to mine. Mine is actually the Best Buy Platinum brand version. Which appears to be slightly different than the ones branded Seidio. I think they took the flaws from the Seidio branded cases and fixed it on the Platinum branded cases, or so I heard (really looks that way too). For those who dont know, the Platinum brand that Best Buys sells is just Seidio product with a different brand name stamped on it (it even says Seidio on the bottom of all of the packages :-D )

I bought my Seidio Rugged from Amazon..not a port cover has torn or a piece of the skeleton broke off in my hand.
I read this in all the reviews..and all I could do was facepalm and make the purchase KNOWING that these behemoths' were just trying to rip the case off rather than "REMOVE" it. A little finesse goes a long way.
I won't replace my Rugged, just like I never replaced my Seidio case for my G1 way back. I will cheat on my rugged for 40% off that sexy looking ballistic though..even though at full price it's ugly.

Mine lasted since the release date until I broke the skeleton a couple weeks ago. No problems with anything else. The rubber on the replacement they sent is quite a bit heavier and the exoskeleton a slightly different design. I told them it would be nice if just the skeletons were available to buy separately in the Seido store and they said they'd pass that on to sales. If you guys have any problems tell them the same. Oh yeah and colors would be nice too.

Colors would be nice too!! I like the Pearl White ActiveCase Limited Edition that they have on Amazon. White and black is just a sexy combo on the Evo...

Actually, I wasnt "ripping" it off. I just used my fingernail to pull back the corner and release it and it just fell off in my hand. However, I still use it every day and it still does a good job of protecting my EVO. I would just expect more from a case that costs $50 and claims to be "rugged". I preordered mine, so it was one of the first batch. Maybe the newer ones really are better.
Discount or not, I do plan on getting the red Ballistic case when they are available.

Yeah, I don't understand why he's talking about finesse with a "Rugged" case. Anyhow, my wife and I are both careful with our phones and don't rip the case off. And it chipped off on both of our phones.

Looks good (judging based off of the Innocase for the Nexus One).
How might this case be better than say a TPU/Epik style case? Just curious.

These are the only cases I know of that you can also use with a holster.when I had it for my nexus there was also a option to upgrade to "rugged"which was perfect for me because I was doing construction.

I second that! I usually use a holster with my phone and this case looks sweet. Otterbox won't be coming out with a defender case for our phone so I think this is perfect! I'm gonna us this for the daily and the TPU case when I need to go light

Nice. This is the kind of case I was looking for. It reminds me a bit of the Agent 18 cases for the iPhone (but slightly higher quality, it looks like).
Has anyone used these cases before on other phones? It looks like it has some rubberized material on the outside? Does it attract lint and dust? The official Gel case (which has now become slightly stretched and useless) continues to pick up every annoying piece of debris. I've given up and gone bare until something better (like this case) comes along.

Do a search for "innocase surface" on YouTube and you'll see a lot of reviews. They describe a slightly rubberized feel to the case, but apparently it isn't tacky and doesn't attract dust or lint.

Yes it is 2 pieces and it slides together. Its had that nice slightly rubberized feel to it but not too muck to their point it grips too much

I'm a big fan of the Seidio holsters. I've had one for my last few Blackberries. I tried several different holsters but I was traveling a lot and working in ceilings and not one of them lasted more than a month. The clip would inevitably break off. It happened once and I didn't notice until later. I had to spend over an hour looking for my phone that was on vibrate!
I chose the Seidio because it looked rugged. It never failed no matter how much I abused it. Now that I have an MT4G I'm really looking forward to getting one of their holsters for it. I've never used the Innocase, but I hightly recommend the holster. It's built very tough without looking like it. I don't see they have one listed yet for use without the case, but I'm hoping they'll make one.

Really, I bought a Otterbox Commuter for my Captivate and hated it and returned it the next day. The hard plastic looked cheap and the rubber was a lint magnet. I don't have experience with Seido cases but I bought a holster for my wife's iPhone4 and it's great.

Had an Innocase on my BB 8900 and It was good for the most part. It was one of the slide up ones. But It DID scratch the chrome part on the phone.
I did drop it multiple times on the floor and nothing happened the phone. BUT, one day it dropped about 3 feet down to concrete and the case cracked and wouldn't hold the phone well like it did before.
IT did fall on concrete almost that high before and nothing until that one day.
Also sliding the case off a couple of times messed up its sturdiness. Sturdiness as in, when I'd slide it up it stay on. after a while it wouldn't stay on well.
On my N1 I bought an Otterbox case and it was the best case I had. Even though it attracted lint and was hard to take off sometimes, I wouldn't buy any other case !
EDIT: got a battery from them for my N1. The thickness made me get rid of it. Come to find out the stock battery lasted way longer.

I thought the Innocase II is the one that was 2 pcs and snaps together.

Ballistic HC case for EVO

I recently ordered my ballistic hc case of off amazon just in time because I got my first scratch today so I can't wait to get it. But to all the owners out there, how does it hold up? How does it feel, do you like it, is it worth it? Because this scratch really opened my eyes but at least its not on the display. And on a semi related note, anybody have any tips on how to maybe buff it out or something?

i could beat somebodies head in with this case on my phone and still make the call to 911 when i was done. love it. if you hate bulk you wont like it. overall one of the best cases i have ever bought.

I'm willing to accept the bulk on the basis that it will definitely protect my phone cause I've been scared of touching my poor phone ever since I scratched it today.

Love it, love it, love it. I grabbed mine for $30 off Amazon, and it was WELL worth it. Quality is definitely there. I usually use mine without it around the house, as it is rather bulky, but I wouldn't go to work without it. I truly feel like my phone is protected when I'm out and about now. And the holster is 100x better than the one that came with my Otterbox from my old iPhone 3GS.

Just a little update on how much i love this. i wont get a phone unless they will make a HC case for it. where i work is bad on phones. from dust to long drops.

I love this case, makes the phone feel huge but its ok cause our phones are huge anyways

Until you take the case off, then the phone feels tiny and sexy. I personally don't care how big the phone is, as long as I don't have to worry about dropping it.

I got it off amazon for about $30 as well. It kept going up a dollar every day so I was like I have to take the plunge soon before its at full price again. I can't wait to get it.

Well I have had mine about three weeks now, I broke the holster in the first week and a half, customer serv is sending me a replacement. I was reading a few people having issues with the prox sensor using this case then I noticed I was also, after cutting the plastic screen protector that covers the sensor off it is working perfectly now.

$50 is too much!
$30 on Amazon, bravo, $50 from Ballistic, a bit much. I like mine but have one major complaINT.... WHAT'S WITH THE CHEAP PLASTIC KICKSTAND? They should send everyone a better designed replacement, damn thing is like something out of a CrackerJacks box.

I agree with the stand comment, on another note I got my replacement holster and they sent me a new case because of the prox sensor problem.

Without the optional rubber outer layer it's about the same size as the Cyclops. If that's too large for you then you probably will be much happier with something like the Otterbox Commuter.
I personally can't support Otter right now with their poor quality control though.

I just received mine today and all I can say is wow! I have been through so many cases that ended up being junk and I finally have something that delivers the goods!
1st Sprint Body Glove - cracked and broke after 1 week
2nd Zagg screen protection with naked phone. Began to peel after 2 weeks
3rd. Seideo Innocase Active limited edition - 1st one corner cracked and back peeled constantly
4th Second Seido Innocase Active - 2 corners cracked after very minor drop.
5th 5$ ebay rubber/ silicone case. Actually was ok but couldnt use charge port while it was connected.
6th and hopefully final case Ballistic HC! This one feels like a tank! I don't mind the bulk because this one will actually last. I bought it on ebay for $33 here. Don't screw around with other cases like I did (and waste so much $), just get this one and be done with it!

Mine is on the way. $25 off ebay. My seidio rugged really held up great but i just wanted something new ive had that seidio for months. Passed on otterbox for ballistic. Hope its as good as the seidio

This is MUCH better than Seidio. My Seidio is falling apart and unusable, the protection on the Ballistic seems to also be superior.

My Seidio "Rugged" case also fell apart. The Ballistic case is built 100 times better. I can't see this thing falling apart unless I actually try to destroy it.

The design on the Seidio just doesn't make sense, I don't understand why they'd build the exoskeleton that way. Go Ballistic!

This is a great case! We have 4-5 users here that have that case and I borrowed one for a weekend. While I love the protection I just can't get over the bulk, so in the end I kept my Case-Mate Tough Case which has so far protected my phone vs my 2yo.

I have had the Ballistic case for about a week now, I think they made a great case! I have only the one complaint I think everyone does, what the heck were they thinking with the kickstand, it's useless! Though I don't really miss it that much, I wish it were there....

Motorola Xoom Portfolio Case

I upgraded to the Otterbox Defender Series case for my XOOM. I got the Portfolio Case laying around back in the original box I had purchased it with (from best buy). I bought this case the day I got my XOOM knowing that I would upgrade once a better case had hit the market.

Motorola Xoom Portfolio Case - Saved my Xoom
I want to share a quick story with you guys.
Yesterday I was on my 7th floor balcony playing Poker on my xoom, and smoking at the same time. I accidently dropped xoom, which landed on a patch of grass. While watching it flying down, I was already thinking, there goes $600.00 down the drain. While in mid air case closed it self and zoom landed flat. When went to pick it up, not one single scratch on it, and works perfect. $50.00 Folio Case saved my xoom.

I'm glad you didn't crack the touch screen glass.

bought the portfolio case and returned it w/in 2 days, upgraded to the otterbox ( i think they only have one xoom case) and couldn't be happier, my otterbox stand/outer cover actually cracked, i called otterbox and they sent me an entirely new case, even when i told them i only need my case/stand (1 of the 2 included pieces). props to otterbox

Super helpful.

I quite like the case. The basic design is sound just its execution could be better. There's definately a lot of variation in quality control though. The first one I bought at full price from authorised dealer the fit was very tight. I returned that when I found one for sale half the price elsewhere. Had to return that because the plastic clip was coming away from the vinyl.
On the third one now & this one seems to be much much better. The tab slides in easily but is snug so no chance of it accidently sliding out. The device just seems to fit in much better, but whereas the previous 2 had a cutout for the charging hole this one does not.

Are you talking about the Moto case? You has ones that had a cutout for the charge port?
I had to put one in mine with a hole punch. I had always given the moto case a 99 out of 100 for being such a great case but lacking that one super simple feature.

Yes the oficial Moto portfolio case. The first two had a cutout for the charging port but the one I have now does not.

I really wish they'd get a case that lets you access the Micro USB slot on our device. Using a wireless mouse, BT keyboard, and HD Dock to the TV, that would make me a content customer!

I've bought this case and I love it.
