Ok guys. This might sound a bit loopy but I am unable to unlock my Evo using screen gestures. I stupidly changed the sensitivity to "9"(more strict. I had it at 3 when I built the gestures. I have access to through adb. Is there anyway to disable the screen gesture lockscreen through adb and/or enable the rotary/slider lockscreen using adb on windows? Or is it possible to wipe my current cm input settings in adb? I don't want to wipe! I have cm6.1.1 nightly 203/12-23-10. Please help.
...ok. then. Is there anyway to RE-ENABLE the menu button to unlock using android then? Or enable the slide to unlock using adb?
Do you have a recent nandroid from before you changed this? If so, go ahead and wipe and just restore your nandroid...

I've tried to disable voice dialing since I don't want to use this feature with my bluetooth headphones, I keep misdialing people by accident when hittingt he 'speak' button on my headphones, and cant get to my phone quick enough to turn the call off.
I've tried to uninstall via titanium backup, however the app is restored after a reboot.
bit annoying, and theres no software option to turn it off eitehr as far as I can see.
Is there a way of doing this?
Thanks in advance.

are you rooted with s-off? if your not rooted you cant remove it, and if your rooted but dont have s-off, you will need to use adb to unistall it
rooted - yes
s-off - no
I had problems with the adb drivers, and getting adb to work. Could I use the same script in a terminal app like terminal emulator?

No you can't unless you are S-OFF as the system partition is read only when the phone is fully booted. So, unless you are prepared to S-OFF, you will need to get your ADB access working.

Does anyone have knowledge of resetting the access control pattern
It is not the lockscreen, it enables me access to certain applications I have locked.
I am using MIUI ROM. Any help it's greatly appreciated. I am unable to access my messaging on the phone.
Thank you
Sean

Hi Guys
I flashed my Wildfire with Cyanogen Mod 7 a few days back. I am absolutely new to flashing, and this is the first time I ever tried something like this. Flashing was a breeze with no problems.
However, when I was going through the different settings Under Cyanogem mod settings option and by mistake seem to have permanently locked my phone.
I cannot access my phone lock screen to unlock it !
I was trying to activate lock screen gestures and thought I dont need the lock screen slider anymore.
Here are the exact steps I followed:
Cyanogenmod settings -> Lock screen settings -> Lock screen styles -> Disable lock screen slider
I did not even activate alternate mode to unlock !
Please HELP !!
Usually "Disable lockscreen slider" is unselectable unless you have "Menu unlock" and/or "Trackball unlock" ticked.
I think i will have to wipe data/factory reset under the recovery. That's the only option I see, but will loose all my applications.
But then i guess that's the price you pay for such a silly mistake.
But thanks for the prompt response !

There's an app in the market called app extractor, first take a nandroid backup then wipe data, reboot and install app extractor and use it to extract all your apps and data from the backup.
Don't extract the settings data though as you'll have to start again.

Make someone to call u then press the home button. Then u can easily go to settings and enable the slider again

Everytime someone calls my phone, and i go to swipe the green icon across, it nevera wants to swipe over far enough to activate the call. No amount of swipe, tapping, cursing seems to fix it. Ive turned on the sensitivity thingy thru the display menu but that doesnt work. Im almost a year into this stock Note 4.

Rooted or un-rooted? If rooted, could be kernel settings.

All stock....nothing changed. I like my warranty and ins odlly enough havent had to use it yet, unlike my G3 i was on my 4th phone before year 1.

Partial solution: goto Settings, search "answering", click on answering and ending calls and select answer with home key and/or the command "answer". Done.
Not good enough? Other potential fixes:
Goto stock recovery and delete cache and dalvik and reboot phone.
-or-
Factory reset.
-or-
Open Dialer, dial *#2663# (You most likely don't need the S-Pen to dial but using S-pen may help for those that mistakenly flashed the wrong custom recovery and need this to restore touch.), then update the touch FW by pressing "TSP FW update (General)". It's harmless to restore if not needed but maybe it helps. Maybe just a refresh after update is needed?
None of these will void the warranty but you may consider backing up with KIES or Helium before factory reset. No root alternatives. There's also Drive, Samsung and Google backup and restore but not so data app friendly on restore.

So my roommate was drunk and set up a lockscreen swipe password and can't remember it. Is there a way to get past it without a full reset? Tried using Android device manager but not working. Any help would be great. Phone is also unlocked and rooted. Thanks

You might be able to delete locksettings.db in recovery. That should clear out the pin. Used to have to do that on 6p after a restore.
