[KERNEL][CWM] ardatdat Kernel for Captivate Glide (Rooted/OC/init.d/3G)

Hi here I back for an updated kernel.
Since I am the kernel developer for Galaxy R and both machines are using tegra2 CPU. I hope that I can re-use the techniques to enhance the kernel for both devices.
I know that I don't own this device (instead, I own a Galaxy R). So, please forgive me!
I have prepared a kernel for i927 that is CWM flashable, below is the change log:

- Fix counter for 3G/wifi data usage (now, you can monitor your usage using common software like 3G watchdog, etc)
- Performance increased by introducing some memory copy macros and functions
- Speed up framebuffer copy

Next step: OC to 1.35Ghz ; add more CPU governors ; add VR/SIO I/O Scheduler ; more & more

working fine! I have tried some init.d scripts and they execute upon boot. Will try more....

I can back up the fact that 3g monitoring isn't working on stock or custom kernels.

I'm having issues with 3g and data when i use "[ROM][30/01/12] i927(r)_2.01.30_OsiMood - Light gets Lighter" had to go to my backup what other info do you need from me.
Never mind stupid user error. Coming over from an old winmo phone and haven't crested the learning curve yet

I flashed Kernel and now my phone is LOCKED again..
Not sure how it is related.
Can someone help me.. I do not want to pay huge money again for Unlocking again.

Try re-entering the code that was given to you for unlocking. But in most cases, this should not be occuring....

thanks very much! I will do testing on this one but will take me some time for the 3G/Wi-Fi fix, I really don't use such apps, but i just downloaded 3g watchdog...

I can confirm that the previous version will cause locked again.
is it fixed in the updated version?
and is this kernel carrierIQ free?

Yes, carrierIQ free
The issue of 'locked' is strange, and should not be occurring... Does everyone experiencing this? If this really occurs on you, then, you may need to use back the stock kernel.

just wanted to throw in some quick feedback..
1. loving the kernel.. hoping for 1.35oc
2. works perfectly with cranium so far..
3. never relocked my phone

hey there folks,
i got a quick question regarding baseband flashing.
i´m currently running baseband 72 (on ics) and i read about some wifi-modules that i should flash ... what are these and where do i get them from ?

well u will find wifi modules in respective kernel thread..u can flash them through recovery

it works sometimes, but the signal is very bad and i need to be very near to my access point. i think i remember wlan was workin better on stock gb.

Im willing to use tun.ko in my glide device but i dont know if theres a kernel that works with it, if someone know something about it, that would be great

I spent a lot of time trying to compile it myself only to discover that tun.ko is not needed! It is compiled into stock ICS AT&T kernel. Just install OpenVPN app and it will work out of the box.

Need more info, rom type of play what kernel your using etc etc we can't help with no info

Does the wifi just not turn on, does it not find any networks, is it having trouble connecting to networks, or is it doing what mine has been doing lately, and connecting fine, but the actual internet is not working on it (ie: can't get on sites)?
Also, what ROM are you running, and what kernel?

Please sort out file sharing through WIFI Direct on DN3 rom V5
After Establishing Connection, Sharing give "Unfortunately Settings have stopped working"
Flashed Clean Rom through TWRP.

I got this problem too..wifi direct problem..after connect too wifi direct..unfunately setting have stopped....don't no what the problem..try use sbeam..it's ok no problem..

Hello, I have no problem so far with wifi direct on DN3 V5 Rom. The problem was about the screen mirroring. It said "Can't enable screen mirroring because of hardware issue." Fortunately, I replaced the lib I found on xda, and finally it worked seamlessly by now.

You'll get FC Settings
try these steps
Before selecting file for sharing make a wifi direct connection with other device.
Then select file that you wanna share.
I guarantee that you'll get fc
if not then let me know

I suppose the problem is with secsettings.apk
Due to dual settings(note 3 and s5) its facing this problem.

Hello, I did this many times for different firmwares, from official 4.3 to official 4.4.2, then this custom rom, and I never get a fc.
It's just a lib file that you can replace, nothing more.
I hope I can help anyone here with DN3 V5 Rom since I know how it feels like to be lost. Just ask, I'll help if I can. But, please don't PM me.
