hi everybody, befor i found this site i found a way to browse the phones marketplace.. now i got the full emulated phones rom but the marketplace is not working on it. you cant access the marketplace. with the latest rom i get the " service unavailible right now check back later " but like i said i can show u how to take a sneak peak with your emulated win7phone.
so
see some facts:
you cant login to the marketplace
you cant use the FULL win7phone Rom you found here
you ONLY can search and look at availible apps and games
youll need the sdk
if you dont have get it from here:
create(dot)msdn(dot)com /en-us/home/getting_started
install and open.
create a new project, just a normal windows phone application
now press play to start the windows phone emulator
the phone will now boot and start your application
press back and open the internet explorer
browse to google(dot)de (.com may work too)
there ull see a link to install google phone tools, follow it and get redirect to zune. it will now try to open marketplace. you should get the error message.
press ok, then just reload the zune redirect page, by clicking the top left reload button. the marketplace should open now and show the google app.
now you can scoll down, press "find more by google"
now you can search for apps.
searching for "a" only will result in more then 1 hit.
enjoy. if you find another way feel free to post it.

did you try removing it via ActiveSync?
no, how can i remove a program trough activesync? I only use that to sync my contacts and calendar data with my computer.
Connect the phone via ActiveSync, then as soon as Microsoft ActiveSync comes up, go to Tools > Add/Remove Programs.
ok, I see now, i tried but no it doesnt show up in the list. Very strange, if you want you can try it, just install snake from the link provided in the first post. But warning, youll probably have the same problem.
just remove it from the windows file in the start folder.
it'll be on the phone but you won't see it to bug you.

Hi All,
First time poster so please be gentle -- I did search for this issue on google and within the forums first.
This is the first smartphone I've ever purchased.
My Inc2 is non rooted and non modded.
It has been working w/o issue since I bought it about 6 weeks ago until this weekend when it would no longer install updates or new apps from either the Google Android or Amazon Android markets.
Note that in both markets the app or update downloads w/o issue -- the problem happens when it attempts into install what was downloaded.
The status bar at the top reads "Installation of app X unsuccessful"
Downloads/Updates from the Google Android market result in an error message within the notification bar. Clicking on it opens a dialog box with Installation error "Unknown reason -110"
When downloading/updating from the Amazon Android market the error is less specific, I click Install, the standard screen opens confirming I want to install the app explaining what it will need access to. I click the Install button at the bottom of the page which results in "Application not installed".
Note that this happens with all app downloads or updates.
The steps I have taken so far:
1) restarting the phone
2) clearing cache/data from Applications/Android Market application (and restarting again)
3) clicking on button to remove all updates to Android Market application (and restarting again) --
Interestingly the version listed under the Market app is 2.3.4 even though it has reverted to an earlier version -- it looks very different.
On a side note: since this did not fix the problem, how do I get the newest Market version again?
4) unmounted SD card (and restarting again) -- since this did not fix the issue, I remounted the SD card
5) Used file manager to navigate to directory Download and look for files named: XX.apk, where XX is 1 to 20. -- but did not find any such files.
6) Per HTC support:
First, open the phone dialer and enter in *#*#checkin#*#* [*#*#2432546#*#*]. The number will disappear and your should see a notification of either Checkin Succeeded or Checkin Failed. If it succeeded, then new updates should be detected for your device and the application.
I received "checkin succeeded" notification
[Can someone explain to me what entering the combination above does --
what is the phone checking in with?]
Next, try moving any applications you have on the SD card to your phone's internal memory. This can be done by going to: Home> Menu> Settings> Applications> Manage Applications> On SD. Tap each program and then tap Move to Phone. Once this is done, check for updates again.
I received "Failed to move application" notification for each application on my
SD card that I attempted to move to Internal Memory
Finally, I recommend clearing the data from the Google Services Framework applications. In the Manage Applications Screen, go to: All> Google Services Framework and then tap Clear data. Check for updates once again.
Followed the direction above but have not received any updates by navigating
to Settings/Software update and clicking Check new.
For whatever it is worth clicking Status shows that my last update has name
HTC_ADR6350_LargeUpdate_3.02.605.1 with Status of Update Successful,
code of 200, date of 09/19/11 and time of 07:55PM.
7) A (perhaps) related development is that as of tonight, my Inc2 is no longer listed as one of my devices in the Google Android Market when I navigate the web page on my computer. Anyone know how to get this resolved?
Thanks in advance for anyone willing to help.

An additional development is that as of about 10:00pm tonight, my Incredible 2 no longer shows as one of my devices when I navigate to the Google Android Market from my pc -- could this be related?

Try clearing data in apps settings and reboot. How many apps are installed? When was the last time you deleted all your messaging threads and call logs?

Joshua,
Can you advise on the click path to accomplish the "clearing data in apps settings" process.
When I click Settings/Applications/Manage Applications, I just see my apps listed.
I do not use sms or text messages but I have never deleted all my messaging threads and call logs (again, I've had the phone about 6 weeks) -- I will do a quick search on the forum to learn how to take those steps.
Thanks for your help.

You're in the right place, just click on market and choose clear data. Wiping messaging and call logs, just go into the app and hit menu.

When I navigate to the Market App the "Clear data" button is grayed out.
Accessing the Phone app allows me to Clear data and I did -- can you help me with "hit menu" reference you made?
Also, I'm not sure what is normal but when I go into the Market Updater app, all the buttons are grayed out.
Thanks again.

Not the market updater app, the market app. They are different apps. It should be under the ALL APPS tab in applications settings.
"Hit menu" refers to the physical (or capacitive) menu button on the phone itself.
So you used the phone app to clear the call logs? Go to call logs and press the menu button on the phone.
Understood on the market updater app being separate from the market app -- just wanted to post an observation about the market updater as I wondered if maybe that wasn't the way it was supposed to look (all buttons grayed out).
I went to Settings/Applications/Manage Applications, selected the All tab, scrolled to the Phone app and clicked the Clear data button.
Upon doing so I received a Change Mode message that a SIM card was detected and the device was switching to global mode.
Do I want to stay in global mode if I only need CDMA?
Then navigated to Settings/Call -- but I was unable to find mention of call logs and pressing the physical menu button did not bring up anything.
Sorry if I'm being dense.
Not sure if this is related to any of the steps you have recommended but my Incredible 2 is now listed again in the Google Android market when I browse to it via my computer. I'll take any good news.
Thanks

Nope, go into your call log and press menu. Open the phone app as if you're going to make a call, go to your call history, hit menu and delete all.
When you were in the all tab, that's where you clear data for market.

Thanks for the additional explanation -- totally makes sense now -- Call history is now empty.
Have done the same for messages.
Now rebooting the phone...
Tested downloading an app and unfortunately got the same -110 error.
Do you have any ideas regarding these questions I posted above?
Interestingly the version listed under the Market app is 2.3.4 even though it has reverted to an earlier version -- it looks very different.

If I will only be using my phone in the United States -- is it better to leave from phone in World or CDMA mode?

cdma mode only
Can anyone help with these three still unresolved issues?

Android customer support indicated that they had received multiple reports of this issue but did not have a fix yet.
Worked with HTC support and ended up having to do a factory reset which fixed the problem.
Thanks to everyone for your help.

<h1>Make your Spreadtrum phone faster, less buggy, and more usable!</h1>
This guide is supposed to tell you how to make your Spreadtrum phone better to use. I'm not good at introductions, so let's start.
1. Root your phone, and install ClockWorkMod. Make a full backup. If something goes wrong during the guide, you'll need to restore from this. An excellent guide for this is given here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2165554
2. Install Chainfire3D from the Play Store. Install the CF3D driver by opening the app and going to CF3D Driver --> Install. Get the NVIDIA plugin from here: http://nsood.in/nvidia.zip Put the plugin in sdcard/plugins/ Open CF3D on your phone, and scroll down. Select Install Plugins/Shaders and select the NVIDIA plugin (nvidia.zip). Then open "Default OpenGL settings" and scroll down. Select "Use plugin" and choose the NVIDIA plugin. This will speed up not only your games, but also the UI in general. If any error occurs, go to ERROR: How to Revert Back To Stock.
3. Get a root browser/explorer. I recommend the one by "JRummy". Also, get the following apps from Google Play, and make sure they are NOT installed to an SD card:
- A messaging app (for SMSs) (I'm using Messages+)
- A dialer app (I use Dialer+)
- A contacts app (I use Contacts+)
- A launcher (I use LauncherPro)
- A browser (I use Lightning)
Note that you can get any app, but these seem to work pretty nicely with my Micromax A27 with a Spreadtrum SC6820 chipset.
4. Set your downloaded apps as defaults. Open your root explorer, and navigate to /data/app. Long press your messaging (or any other of the above) app, and move it to /system/app. Repeat for all apps above. Now navigate to /system/app and delete all default apps, launcher first. Note that your phone may reboot after the deletion of an APK. Just open your root explorer and continue.
WARNING: Do NOT delete any other APK. Just the default SMS app, dialer, contacts, launcher, and browser. If any error occurs, go to ERROR: How to Revert Back To Stock.
5. Disable all special effects in all apps. This is a simple step, so I expect you to do this on your own, or Google it.
6. Use low-memory apps and games, for example, instead of Subway Surfers or Temple Run, play something like Line Runner or Hill Climb Racing. This helps reducing overall memory usage, allowing your system to have more breathing room.
That's it. Feels strange, being a noob somewhere and not being noob-friendly... Oh, and:
ERROR: How to revert back to stock
This guide has many steps going near the guts of Android. If, during any of these steps, your phone's gut goes off, and you're stuck in a bootloop, or can't get past the lock screen, do this:
Power off your phone and disconnect it from your PC. Open a Terminal/Command Prompt window in your ADB folder. Put this command in:
Code:
adb shell reboot recovery
Do NOT press Enter! Not yet! Connect your phone to the PC and power it on. As soon as you get the device logo, press Enter. You should go to ClockWorkMod. Go to Backup and Restore --> Restore --> DD/MM/YYYY --> Yes. Your phone will reboot automatically, back to a stock+root mode. Well, at least your phone works now!
If I helped you, press Thanks. Else, hate me silently for the rest of your natural life.
I have a old gt i8150 and I was using it for some stuff.but accidentally I have deleted some aplications (rooted device).
Now my play store don’t work, and all my apps are not showed and I can’t open nothing. Basically I can’t open or find my browser ,I can’t make any download in my phone. Because play store won’t open (vending.android problem)
And because I can’t open or find the browser app,I can’t make a download using my browser.
And when I try make factory reset, when the phone reload, the problem still the same.
Anyone have some idea what can I do?
Thank you
Ps: I find a way to go in some sites, somehow using “legal licenses “ option in a application settings, using a link from there,I can open something like a very basic browser and navigate there.but I can’t make download from this “trick “
Do you have a computer you can connect the phone to? If so, you can download the APK of a browser (or whatever apps are missing) then install through ADB. If nothing works, try a custom ROM
