Ok guys,
I have been using TouchDown 1.0 version and I think it is great. Well i see that there is a new 2.0 version for android 2.1 but when I download and put the settings and sync I dont get the complete sync just some older mail, no folders and no contacts. While the older version works fine. Now i have did not unistall the older version so i can copy the settings. Any way suggestions? Or is there any way to update the customer version or any reason why the 2.0 version is not working

I have some questions on .Net CF.
Currently my O2 XDA Flame is having v1.0.
Many Apps using v2.0 and even v3.5 Beta cannot be used.
I have download them both v2.0 & v3.5 Beta, but not sure which to use,
1. Can I jump from v1.0 to v3.5 Beta and v2.0 Apps will still work with v3.5 Beta?
2. Each version normally comes with PPC & WM Version, which should I use?
3. For O2 XDA Flame, should I use the ARM version or which version?
4. I cannot find the cab of v1.0, I am looking for it in case I want to downgrade. I only found the Sevice Pack 3 for developer version. I know I can also do a uninstall or a hard reset or do a restore from backup to get back v1.0.
You can have multiple versions of the .NET CF installed if you want. When a program runs, it will attempt to load the version it was compiled against. If that version is not available, it will attempt to load the highest version that is available, and hopefully it will be compatible with the app.
For example, if you run an app that was designed for framework version 1.1, and you have 2.0 and 3.5 installed, 3.5 will get loaded.
As for locating and installing the different frameworks, I can't be much help, except to suggest that, if an app you have didn't install the version it wants, you might be able to download the correct version by looking at the microsoft mobile website.

Thank you for answer Q1 & Q4.
Do you have an answer for Q2 & Q3?
Took the courage to install NetCfV3.5Beta WM Version and manage to get downloaded Apps (SimpleOS) to work.
Without installing NetCfV2, direct from Flame's NetCfV1 to NetCfV3.5Beta, download Apps (TouchFlo3D, needed at least NetCfV2) works with NetCfV3.5Beta.
yeah .net is backward compatible
but with beta's it's not always the case
.net2 had issues with some .net1.1 stuff
in it's beta's
after installed froyo jp6 , no more facebook s in samsung app. where can i find it
thx in advance
Same problem here!! but i had done a backup of the .apk and installed it after updating to froyo.it opens but asks for login( account and sync) even thought my account is already signed to.
Hello
Seems that it is not yet available for Froyo.
There is a version to install, extracted from Eclair, but it desn't work for now.
So it will probably come officialy later.
I've tried to install it using the cab but didn't work, it's not supported to work on froyo
hopefully samsung release a froyo version soon, anything is better than the android facebook app
The default android app runs quite smoothly on Froyo after Vodoo lag fix.
Hello,
I was using the leaked 4.2.2 ROM and it was working perfectly. I have just flashed the latest 4.2.2 ROM by BalliBoxer. I have restored all my applications except the Most Important App - My Office Mail - I am unable to add my office Microsoft Outlook Email account in the Setup / Accounts / Add accounts section.
Since my device is an "official" device, I am unable to access / view my office emails, Outlook calendar and Phone book.
Please help!
In case this functionality is not available in this ROM, please advise how I should go back to the earlier leaked 4.2.2 firmware.
Many thanks in advance!

Hello,
I've received my nexus 9, and discovered the support of exchange account on the Gmail app which is really great. I really wanted to configure the same on my HTC one m8, but I don't have the option when I add a new account.
I 've already checked that the versions are the same on both devices (5.0 1569867) but I lack the option Exchange from the drop list of the mail account type. (I have the Gmail and imap/pop option)
I' ve tryed couple of search but I found none reporting the same issue. Any idea there is a magic tricks to activate exchange support on the m8 (htc edition, not the play edition).
Thanks!
What's the version of Gmail on your HTC One M8? You can know the version from Settings > Apps > Gmail , under the application icon you will find the application version, exchange services was added in Version 5.0, and I don't think you we will be able to see it except if you received the new gmail version or side loaded it.

Like I said in my first message: 5.0 1569867, the exact same version than on my nexus 9.

There is an exchange.apk that goes around which will enable it for you. No idea if it's version specific though. Let me try to find it and post it for you.

Here you are. As i said i don't know if the apk is version specific so try it on your own risk. After you install exchange.apk Force Stop and reopen Gmail. When you add account you will see a new option for "Exchange"

Just an FYI to any other 1Weather app 5X/6P users, since I'm a fan of the app. Here is a problem I found and a fix.
The app was fine on my Galaxy S4 (L) and my Nexus 9 (M) and both recognized the fact that I had installed and purchased it a few months ago. A new install just now on the 5X, of their latest 3.3.4 version, basically does not work well at all. I did an uninstall of it on the Nexus 9 and a reinstall there also didn't work right.
So, since it installed fine a while back, I found an old 3.2.1 version apk online and installed that. It works fine now, and I would think it still will whenever the OS gets around to updating it to that new 3.3.4 version. I suspect that since the 3.3.4 ver was running fine when it was applied on top of a prior running copy.
Here is the link to the old version.
[The 1Weather dev team got back to me and confirmed the problem. They are thinking it's changes in the M Pay system causing the problem. They confirmed my 'use an old ver' procedure is fine.]
The problem is supposedly fixed now with the 3.3.5 version, no need to worry about a clean install of the Play Store version.
I got it to install and run, but the 1x1 widget crashes. Unless they fix that I'm going to find another weather app.
