Same problem here!! but i had done a backup of the .apk and installed it after updating to froyo.it opens but asks for login( account and sync) even thought my account is already signed to.

Seems that it is not yet available for Froyo.
There is a version to install, extracted from Eclair, but it desn't work for now.
So it will probably come officialy later.
I've tried to install it using the cab but didn't work, it's not supported to work on froyo
hopefully samsung release a froyo version soon, anything is better than the android facebook app
The default android app runs quite smoothly on Froyo after Vodoo lag fix.

I installed the first leak, and then upgraded to the latest (8/1) leak using a nice video by a user named Mejdam on YouTube
Everything works great and it's really fast. I'm loving the new 2.2 features.
(Install the new google voice search from the market, it's fantastic)
I heard that there were some things missing, like ringtones, notifications, and HTC Twitter, and I don't really miss those things.
However, there is no flash 10.1. In fact, there is no in-browser flash. I really need help on how to get it. I've read that it needs to be installed separately, but it does not work from the official Adobe website nor from the market. Can some one help me? Where I can install the latest Flash 10.1 for the browser? This is the main reason I installed the leak. Thanks in advance, and I really hope someone can guide me to install this properly.
Additional notes: The files I used to upgrade were provided by Mejdam's links on youtube. Also, I found a download link in another post that led to Flash 10.1. When I downloaded and installed the apk, I had the same old Flash I used to have in 2.1 (Slow flash)

install that thru Astro and u will have flash 10.1.
I believe if you just use a file explorer and go to /system/app the .apk is already there you just need to install it and your set.

on the 8/1 leak there's absolutely no flash player installed or existent. you have to download the apk and install it.

I did this with root explorer, even though its not for this rom, but it didnt do anything- i still can not login.
To sum it up: Motoblur is no longer available for 2.3.4 on the normal MB525 , so i want to know if there is a workaround for this?
So my question is, is it possible to trick out the motoblur servers and make them believe i am still on Froyo ? For example replacing the 2.3.4 build.prop with the one of 2.2.2 ? Is this even possible ? I am not a developer and i am new to all this and i dont want to mess up my device so...

Facebook and Twitter posts sync works for me, but not Facebook contacts sync.
Yes, posting works, but like you said : no sync of contact widget

Maybe anyone with a stock Froyo build.prop? i dont want to flash the sbf :/
EDIT: Sending Messages via Facebook also works, but the sync behaves very weird. Also, the behavior of status sync is not normal. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not...
I think we have to test more Motoblur servers, not necessarily from Defy but other Moto phones with Gingerbread. I'm not using stock Moto GB now so I can't test it though.
About 2-3 weeks ago, i tested some GB Roms. At first, Motoblur worked!

After a while i decided to give MIUI a try - but i didnt like it that much so i went back to blurry ginger because i wanted 720p rec - and thats when i couldnt log in or create an account.
They both give me the same error now at Motoblur - everything else works fine. Havent tried the build.prop trick though!

I have a weird problem here
I can not update "almost" any of my application on the new market 3.1.5
When I press on update it keep saying "Loading" without loading the page.
This happened with almost every application I have
The weird thing is that I can download and install new application !!!!!!!!!
I dont know what to do !??!!?!?!?!
Also I have notes that this market is slower than the older one, I dont know if this is normal

Have you tried updating to the 3.1.6 market? I believe that has some bug fixes

I am also having the same problem's as you on my D3, DX and OD with different users and while using both wifi and 3g. The only permanent fix that I could come up with is freezing "market updater" with Titanium Backup and than uninstall updates for the market apps by doing this settings>applications>Manage applictions>Market>uninstall updates. It puts me back onto market ver. 2.3.6 (which works fine).
Yeah, the new market is slower than the old one. Reasong for this might be our phone's hardware. I recommend to go back to old 2.3.6 market. Works like a charm.

Recently downloaded Repacked ICS Beta_0.1-0.1.6 and everything seems great with rom, a few minor problems:-
1. Cannot add facebook to accounts & sync
2. Having low storage problems on market

The ROM is in beta, so don't expect everything to work. It will be pointless to look for a workaround on something that's in development as things change quite often anyway.

Which HBOOT are you using? I had problems with CM7r2. Flashed stock HBOOT and with A2SD I got plenty of room for my apps. Btw, I think the facebook app is not yet fully compatible with ICS, e.g contact sync is not available.
Just an FYI to any other 1Weather app 5X/6P users, since I'm a fan of the app. Here is a problem I found and a fix.
The app was fine on my Galaxy S4 (L) and my Nexus 9 (M) and both recognized the fact that I had installed and purchased it a few months ago. A new install just now on the 5X, of their latest 3.3.4 version, basically does not work well at all. I did an uninstall of it on the Nexus 9 and a reinstall there also didn't work right.
So, since it installed fine a while back, I found an old 3.2.1 version apk online and installed that. It works fine now, and I would think it still will whenever the OS gets around to updating it to that new 3.3.4 version. I suspect that since the 3.3.4 ver was running fine when it was applied on top of a prior running copy.

[The 1Weather dev team got back to me and confirmed the problem. They are thinking it's changes in the M Pay system causing the problem. They confirmed my 'use an old ver' procedure is fine.]
The problem is supposedly fixed now with the 3.3.5 version, no need to worry about a clean install of the Play Store version.
I got it to install and run, but the 1x1 widget crashes. Unless they fix that I'm going to find another weather app.
