you need to move the slider all the way over to the right-it will say "(custom)"
then click menu and choose settings - enter you custom frequency and vsel in there, come out and click apply on the main screen.

thanks a lot! but... isn't very smootly...

[Q] Twilight Zone Kernel v1.1.0 question about OC and UV

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=11763114
The thread mentions "1.2ghz Overclocked and Undervolted" (for v1.0)
Does this mean that by default this kernel is overclocked and undervolted, or is it necessary to manually tweak these settings?

You have to overclock using an app such as SetCPU and you must set the undervolt using either voltage control or the newest SetCPU.

Thanks. I was on 1.1.1 actually. Just flashed the latest Genocide a couple of hours ago. Not sure I'm ready to overclock/undervolt just yet either way...though this will probably not last very long. Can't seem to stop fiddeling with this darn phone ever since flashing my first rom ...

I think it's better to overclock via CM settings, but for any other ROM you must use SetCPU or simmilar apps to overclock

hello dude... I will give u the clear idea...
u can use both Set CPU or Inbuilt setting in CM...... but the difference is that "set cpu" or any other similar tools will have the option of making profiles... that is the only advantage, so u can go for anyone thats not a problem, but i suggest SETCPU..
And u cannot overclock above 691Mhz in cm 7.1.0.1... if u do so, then it will stuck up.. so i use max - 672 & min - 2XX... with "on demand" profile in SETCPU.. It runs quite smoothly.....
All the best...

Just because you can't doesn't mean others can't, I run perfect at 788 and know others do too.
Its the tolerance of your CPU which determines how fast you can o/c not the rom.

oh if it is true sorry for that... but here we 3 people using that rom in htc wildfire, cant o/c above 691... and also a friend of mine who had same problem as above, but he can able to o/c at 768Mhz in a different rom (not cm 7.1.0.1 as we used).. think its rooted wildfire with android 2.2..

Scratch is totally correct.stable Overclocking is totally CPU dependent and doesn't matter which rom ur using. Now you might not be able to o/c some roms due to the KERNEL!!!
I can overclock also to 768 but seems my phone works best at 633.

i'm a little bit confused.. @[email protected]
which is which sir ? do i need to flash another kernel ?
No....... just leave the kernel alone, the chances of you being able to o/c anymore than you can already are slim + you probably wouldn't even notice the difference in speed anyway.
Also fruit ninja doesn't work for me either, its probably because we have no gpu.

Overclocking Settings

I'm currently running Hellfire CM9 and I was wondering what settings you guys used for overclocking?
Sent from my Amazon Kindle Fire using xda premium
There is only one OC setting. The others are standard or uc.
Guess this answers ur question.
OC @ 1.2 GHz
Max : 1200MHz
Min : 300 MHz
That answers it! Thank you!

I volunteer to be a guinea pig for the oc/uv lol. I'm just now getting to flashing. Thank you HO!NO! and good to see you're still coming around!
HO!NO!
Does this Alpha ROM include your OC/UV kernel b/c I'm not seeing the 99ocvoltcontrol or 99GPUoverclock files. As well, the init.qcom.post_boot.sh doesn't have the options to set governer and OC. Is that something you're waiting to release due to on going issues?
He's waiting for people to volunteer for the oc/uc. This is just alpha release with no kernel tweaks. (This is my assumption with information he has provided in the op)

I've just installed this build and indeed I am seeing OC values of 1566, 1620, 1674, 1728, 1782, 1836, 1890, 1944
I have not messed with the voltages at all yet however, but I assume they would be there too.
ROM runs smooth and fast but already had two bsod

my experience so far
I flashed it last night and used pimpmyrom to tweak a few settings (no change on dalvik and multitasking). 1728 seems unstable to me. But I read that this ROM has no uv so I might give that a try.
What values should I decrease for uv?

I used X0dus' numbers from his FT undervolt guide in the general section and I'm running stable at 1728. I don't have PmR or anything else running on it at the moment. This ROM does, in fact, have uv; as HO!NO! said, use System Tuner to set the values.
rom run very smooth with the new kernel, but the taskkiller is too aggressive , keep killing the browser , battery drain is better but still not sleeping well Thank you!please keep it up!

atomic GB 7.0 oveclock?

i'm really happy with my atomic gb 7.0. very stable and to me better than stock. I'm using no-frills CPU (1.024 mghz max clock and 122 MHz min clock). Is there any way to speed up my phone? I'm getting about 14.5 fps avg. I can play most games smoothly but I wanted to see if there's a way to speed things up to get a better score. my highest score is about 15.2.
I'm not a guru with the play and any help would be great help!
thanks!
