Installed but I cannot receive calls. I did once but I am not sure what I was configuring at that time so please help me with that issue, phone number is "Unknown" in about phone.. Other than that it is smooth and quick.
Maybe try flashing a baseband again .

I volunteer to be a guinea pig for the oc/uv lol. I'm just now getting to flashing. Thank you HO!NO! and good to see you're still coming around!
HO!NO!
Does this Alpha ROM include your OC/UV kernel b/c I'm not seeing the 99ocvoltcontrol or 99GPUoverclock files. As well, the init.qcom.post_boot.sh doesn't have the options to set governer and OC. Is that something you're waiting to release due to on going issues?
He's waiting for people to volunteer for the oc/uc. This is just alpha release with no kernel tweaks. (This is my assumption with information he has provided in the op)

I've just installed this build and indeed I am seeing OC values of 1566, 1620, 1674, 1728, 1782, 1836, 1890, 1944
I have not messed with the voltages at all yet however, but I assume they would be there too.
ROM runs smooth and fast but already had two bsod

my experience so far
I flashed it last night and used pimpmyrom to tweak a few settings (no change on dalvik and multitasking). 1728 seems unstable to me. But I read that this ROM has no uv so I might give that a try.
What values should I decrease for uv?

I used X0dus' numbers from his FT undervolt guide in the general section and I'm running stable at 1728. I don't have PmR or anything else running on it at the moment. This ROM does, in fact, have uv; as HO!NO! said, use System Tuner to set the values.
rom run very smooth with the new kernel, but the taskkiller is too aggressive , keep killing the browser , battery drain is better but still not sleeping well Thank you!please keep it up!

I have decided to take over building an all new kernel for CM10 and other AOSP roms to reduce the work load from the greatergood.

Boots up well..
No Boot animation..
slightly longer boot time..(Or feels like, as its only Samsung from start to end)
wipes up cache during flash..
Usually not seen it while installing any kernel..takes a lot of time to rebuild..
Can you remove it.. ?
will OC and post benchmark results later..

nope, 245-800.. when receiving calls if it happens that i hold the phone i just simply cant answer, the phone needs those 4-5 seconds to "wake up"..it`s really annoying..tried to switch to ondemand governor, is the same..
Try using:
Gov: SmartAssV2
i/o Scheduler: sio
Min: 122
Max: 800
Do this in the Developer Settings
Don't use a third party app unless you're on stock GB.

It was already on smartassv2 governor, because i always use this governor, no matter what rom.. for instance, the exact problem i described here i had on some cm9 roms and even cm7.2, which had been instantly fixed by switching from ondemand to smartass.. well, this time it seemed to not work, but taking your suggestion i dug about that "sio" thing and found that it some i/o scheduler, which was set to "noop" by default.. by changing it to sio it does seem to help, not quite absolute sure yet, but i would say that it is much faster to wake up now.. thanks!
hopefully there will be a final, stable, bugfree version of jellybean in the end.. developer-united, all working on one good rom instead of 10 incomplete ones, including here even this rom of oldroid. which is very good, but apart from the occasional lags.. i also had to give up the custom dialing (touchpal contacts), custom sms handling (go sms), Big!Full screen caller ID.. all of these making the phone unresponsive or complete dead for 30 secs-1 min, black screen and only touch buttons white.. so it`s still lots to be done until any of these many roms outthere would be as stable as the cm7.2 jellybread i used for the past 5-6 months which have had not a single crash, or moment of lagging.. but oh well, we are never satisfied with what we have, are we?

Right, by sio I meant the i/o scheduler.. Updated my previous post.
SmartassV2 saves more battery when screen is turned off. It's also a nice balance of performance & battery.
Sio is just reliable. It gets the job done.

OC is not always safe, but putting 1200 max on this one is not dangerous...
To change governor / frequency and ram rules... I use the "Rom Toolbox".
I use Flinnys JB rom, it has CPU settings in Performance options (I think any CM based rom should have those) that allow you control min, max fequencies and governor. And given that Flinny includes kernel that supports overclocking you pretty much don't need any extra software to overclock. I set my device to 245-1500 with interactive governor. In conjuction with background process limit set to 2 device performs very well.

I'm not really sure. If it doesn't work, I can roll out a version rebased from 10.2 source within a few hours
Seems to be running nicely so far. Oc to 1400 with -50 under volt across the board. Has anyone had any success with lower uv than that? I'm too tired for
Trial and error.

Would you mind updating the OP with an md5?

The OC/UV is the same used on agat63's kernel and LZ, so you can expect similar results.
Sweet! trying this out now. ^.^

Done.
Ok...just tested this for a few minutes. Instantly rebooted after flashing....which I really wan't expecting. Thought maybe I had bricked my phone for a sec since I don't have USB access to my phone BUT nope! Booted right up. Played with the gov's...all worked well. 1600 worked just fine. Had to rebuild my scripts for link2sd for ext4 which I expected. Then the bad news......GPS is totally whacked out. Didn't work at all. I used both of my gps apps and not a single sat was found. Other than that it was great! Had to switch back to stock CM till the GPS is fixed because I'm new to Az and don't know my way around yet. Thanks for the work though!
I'll be checking this out, I'm working on building pure vanilla jellybean 4.2.2 so I'll give this a try once the source finishes syncing and I compile it.

I'll look into the GPS issue when I get off work, because I never use it. As far as the reboot, sorry about that, I'll remove it from the next build.
Next order of business: messing with governors isn't really my thing, but are there any that you guys would really like to have in a kernel? IO schedulers as well?

PQ has always been my favorite. I think everything else is awesome. Just went back to Dastin's stock cm kernel and GPS came back. Also, the reboot isn't such a huge deal. I just wasn't expecting it is all. Overall it looks great man

I have no issues with GPS, got a lock fairly quickly!

VIDEO GUIDE IN POST #3
To unlock CPU/GPU Overclocking:
In /system/bin, rename mpdecision to mpdecision.back and remove permissions.
In /system/bin, rename thermald to thermald.back and remove permissions.
Replace your thermald.conf in /system/etc with the one I posted in the downloads and set permissions.
--unsure if this step is needed--
In TricksterMod, after a reboot, you should no longer see MPDecision. Turn on intelliplug. There is also an MP-Decision Control. Go into it and set both options that are on to off.

Hi i tryed it out when i was on Bam about two days ago, i changed permissions and replaced file but it didnt unlock OC. Is there something i missed, im using an e988
You also need to change the name and permissions of mpdecision in /system/bin.
I would not encourage going higher then 1.89GHz. A few of us had some nasty side effects and had to send in for a new phone.

Ok so I've done everything you've told me and still OC hasn't unlocked. I'm using bam 4.4.2 ROM on e988. I replaced file and did permissions and made mpdesicion to mpdesicion.back and removed permissions. Is there anything else? Thanks

I forgot to mention changing thermald to thermald.back and removing permissions in /system/bin as well. Didn't think this step was needed with the modified thermald.conf but I was wrong.

Not a problem. They're gonna change frequently over this next week until I get them perfectly stable as low as I can push lol.

This thread is meant for OC'd kernels which we only have 1 available for 4.3 and 4.4 ROMs, here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50079215
The steps are meant for "unlocking" the ability to OC so they don't reset back to 1728MHz.
If we get more OC'd kernels that play nicely with mpdecision and thermald, these steps won't even be needed.
--edit--
Anyone think I should start making video guides for things? Really just looking for a way to test the screen recording option with audio through the mic on BAM. I could definitely pack a lot more information into 3-5minute videos than I'd care to type out.. xD

That's with using some more battery friendly settings. What do you get under GPU 3D graphics? I got 7680. If it's about the same I'll probably drop mine down lol.
