Is there away to Restore the firmware on the HD7 via the Zune software? or anyother way?
you tried hacking up your phone aye?
try a hard reset via holding the volume up+down together and booting the phone up. see if it will reflash it.
if not... i think you're on your own. maybe go back to the store and play dumb and say your phone is dead and you don't know what happened.

Nah I didnt try hack it , just want to have a fresh install.
hard reset is the same as the hd2, volume up and down while powering on phone. To get apps back, any that you downloaded via the desktop zune software will auto reinstall, but any through the phone zune software will have to be redownloaded, though you won't have to pay again for any of them.
I'm hoping that this will be fixed with the first update. Currently I keep a list of installed apps on one note so I can keep track.
also from within the phone you can just goto settings > about > reset phone

The reason I want a fresh install is that for some reason I lost sound , It started this morning when my alarm didnt go off and when I played music there was no sound , a simple reboot of the phone fixed it , but who knows if it will happen again.

ok this just started happening a few min ago there is no alert whatsoever the phone is not ringing for any alert and wont vibrate. but the vibrate still works and i hear sounds from other things such as my media player. i tried changing the ringtone but it resets itself to ring01-windowsphone and i tried setting it to a custom ringtone...nothing! i tried a soft reset. still . all my volumes are up so i dont know what to do
im running the stock tmobile 6.5 rom
also it started happening when i disconnected it from mass storage mode
EDIT:i just found out my windows media player will not open
so the standard windows mobile media player is broken. i try opening it and nothing. not even a error message. is there a cab where i can reinstall it? anything but a dreaded hard reset would be nice

are you running the same rom? beacuse ive seen other post where this has happened and its a reoccurring issue even after hard resets. so if this is going to happen again im calling tmobile and getting a new TP2 with the stock 6.1 rom. i really dont want to hard-spl cus i have a feeling somethings going to happen where i have to return the phone and i dont want to have to go thru the hassle of undoing spl
and if my only option is to hard reset is there something where i can backup all my apps. cus i dont even remember where i got half my apps from and they take so long to install

Use a 3rd-party app like SPB Backup, that will do a full backup of your current os state, including installed programs.
For the future, I'd recommend creating a "cabs" folder at the root of your storage card, whenever you get a new app/tweak just download the cab straight to that folder, run it from there, and just leave it in there for archiving purposes...you'll always have any of them again, immediately accessible in situations like this

thank you for the app advice. ill use that next time. i use to have a apps folder i put them all in but my SD card stopped working so i had to format. i updated to a energy rom and it basically has everything i need. and more except groove fish, which i cant live without! so ill download that later.
i didnt really like the tmobile 6.5 rom and compared to this. that rom was CRAP!
also i looked for about 3 hours for a fix on the media player. and nothing really so best bet is to hard reset
I tried to fix the google play store error by using the steps provided online (that seemed to work for most people) and now my phone will not boot past the initial galaxy screen. The screen goes blank and then I see a solid blue LED light at the top left of the phone.
I would like to know if backing up files at this point is possible, because I'm assuming the only true fix is a factory reset.
I was told that android has a built in fail-safe that would still allow me to access the files through a PC via USB. That has not worked for me. My computer shows nothing. I wonder if there is a way to reinstall just the android operating system (much like you would do with a windows pc) so that no files are erased and just the OS is reinstalled.
I've tried booting in safe mode, tapping the menu button doesn't do anything.
Any help/advice would be much appreciated. I'm ok with performing a factory reset, I'd just like to back up images and audio files before doing so.
Thanks

What play store error were you trying to fix and what exactly did you do to try and fix it?
It sure sounds like you've managed to wipe the internal memory clean. If so your only hope is to use Odin to restore it back to stock. If it works it'll work great but you will lose everything on the phone. Though again it really sounds like you have nothing on the phone.
The only other thing to try would be using Odin to flash a recovery. Then boot into recovery and see if you can back up the data partition. If that works you can use the recovery to reinstall a ROM.
Do people not do nandroid backup anymore?
☞ Sent from here☜???
The error I kept getting said "insufficient storage space available."
I had over 3 gigs of space left on my phone's internal memory.
I tried all of the obvious stuff before even seeking help online (clearing cache, making sure the system memory wasnt taken up).
Anytime my phone would attempt to update an app it would fail and remove the app entirely. Amazon Mobile was the first to go. It's only a 5Mb app and it said I didn't have enough storage space...yet I could download a 100Mb app I didn't already have and it would work fine.
I tried online suggestions like removing my google account from my phone, reverting the app store back to the stock version, re-adding the google account, then rebooting, and then my phone stopped working.
I'm pretty sure I know exactly what caused my phone not to be able to boot anymore though. Some people online had success using a google play store market fix app that is on the play store itself (not some sketchy site no one's ever heard of). I tried that, then when I rebooted it seems like my phone was bricked. A lot of people had said that app worked for their GS4's.
Any suggestions? I wish I could just reinstall android, get the files, then restore to factory conditions (if necessary).
I still have no idea what this problem is that you were trying to fix. I have never heard of this.
Still, using Odin to restore your phone to stock will work. Just flash the .tar file in Odin and it will be like you just took the phone out of the box.
Sent from your phone. You should be more careful where you leave that thing.

The number error that came up with apps failed to update was error 923, which is a pretty common one people had trouble with. I tried every solution I could find, and this is what happened
I wanna help you. I really do. But I can't do anything without knowing the step by step details of what you did to get to this point.
Without that info there is no way to help you back out of thsi without a full wipe. So you are stuck with using Odin to do a full restore.

The step by step details of what I did are a couple posts back (I tried online suggestions like removing my google account from my phone, reverting the app store back to the stock version, re-adding the google account, then rebooting, and then my phone stopped working).
After that I tried a couple of the apps on the google play store that are supposed to be 1 click fixes for the google play store update error. That was my mistake. A lot of people had success with those 1 click fixes, but thats what I believe bricked my phone. I would tell you which app specifically but I can't access my phone (obviously) and they won't come up on the PC version of Google Play search.
Thank you for your desire to help. Is there any other method of communication we could use that might be more efficient for me to be able to answer your questions? IM or fbook chat or something?

I just gave up and wiped all data. I gotta have a working phone for work tomorrow. Trying to download the stock firmware for a full restore. It's taking FOREVER.
Revert to stock : Complete
Hate that I lost everything, but I shoulda been more responsible with backup in the first place. I am with my computers, typically am with my phone, but I was foolish enough to wait until I could get a great deal on a high capacity micro SD card...silly silly me.
Hey guys! As I mentioned in the title, these apps just won't start at all. Just a brief black screen and then I'm bounced back to start.
All other apps I've tried work fine (VLC, Steam, Facebook, Messenger, etc) but my two most important ones won't.:crying:
I have uninstalled them, restarted my phone, and reinstalled them, but that didn't fix anything.
And since I literally JUST got into this scene, I have no idea if the problem lies with my phone (Lumia 820), my firmware (10.0.14376.0), or in the latest updates to those two apps.
Any help would be much appreciated.
If the apps work for you, please tell me your configuration so I can start eliminating culprits, and if they don't, please tell me anyway so I can stop pulling my hair out because it's not just me

Ive got facebook and messenger installed on 14376 ...they work fine but then I'm using a Lumia 950 , is your phone built for win 10 ?, I have noticed the fm radio interface no longer opens(whats left of it anyway) probably removed that last bit lol. nows theres no stock at all ...no RDS ...bummer.
my L730 is on the same build too.. but everything works perfectly (the bbm bugs on my L730 gone too).
where the app is installed? The SD card or on the phone? might be doing something about it..
Spotify and Whatsapp works fine on my Lumia 1020 RS 14376.0.

Whatsapp and Spotify are both installed on the device.. No SD card in the phone.
I don't know if it's relevant, but those were also the only two apps I had installed before I even upgraded....
I'm considering a "hard reset" but I don't know what that means, how to perform one, or what I'll lose in the process (files/settings don't matter, but I'd rather not go through the whole process of installing 10 on my unsupported phone again)

hard reset that simply reset with nokia/windows recovery tool that reset your Phone including back to the 1st OS that were installed to your phone. make sure you do back up everything you need before, that's the last option you have if any other else not fixing your whatsapp and spotify bug.
Alright, I finally got it working, but it took a factory reset.
Powered on phone with volume down button pressed until " ! " appeared on screen then entered the following button combination:
Code:
VOL UP + VOL DOWN + POWER + VOL DOWN
Wish I knew what caused it in the first place (the only thing I can think of is that it had something to do with the fact that they were installed before the upgrade to windows 10). Case closed.
So this morning when I woke up, and checked my email, I got a notification for "google services framework not working" however the phone seemed to be normal. I rebooted it, unlocked it, and pretty much the phone is nonoperational. I keep getting notifications, that can not be cleared for " framework failing", "launcher failing", etc. Which makes it nearly impossible to navigate anywhere because they are in rapid succession.
Phone is a Pixel 2xl on the stock rom, never been rooted, etc. I am not sure what to even do at this point.
Any help would be much appreciated as this is my only device.

About the only thing you can do is a factory reset to see if it remedies the situation. Or, side load the OTA through stock recovery. The first will wipe your data, the 2nd won't. So backup what you can in either case before you start.

You can find how to side load OTA's here....https://developers.google.com/android/ota
Google backup/restore will get you close to being back to normal. However, you will lose some app data. So whatever personal data you have, it's best to back it up on your pc.

Google Photos. It automatically backs up images found in the Camera or DCIM folder on your internal storage space.

Can you even get to your phone settings? If so, you may trying clearing app cache and data for Google play service and Google services framework like you see in the pic. Then if successful, reboot your device and see what happens.

Yea, I can finagle my way there, but it doesn't do anything when I clear it.
I think my only hope at this point is to try and get my pics off it and factory reset.

Either do it through the settings menu on your phone, or go into stock recovery using the power and volume buttons. Hold power + volume down for about 10 seconds, then when the bootloader screen comes up, use the volume down button to get to recovery, then press power to enter recovery. Once you see the android lying on his back, hold power + volume up simultaneously, then release volume. This part can get a little tricky, so be patient :good:
One additional piece of advice is to attempt to load the OS in "safe mode". You can find the method and more information HERE. As you can enter/load the OS (albeit the error messages get in the way), you should be able to get to the power-off/shutdown settings and might be able to load up the system in "safe mode"... I think it's worth a try...
good luck and hope this helped some....
What is the safest way to go about re-locking my bootloader? The reason I ask is that many apps on my phone just don't seem to work right, some refuse to open, some crash immediately upon opening, some I have to touch the screen multiple times to go back etc. Trying to figure out what the cause would be and thinking of re-locking the bootloader and factory resetting to see if that fixes it.
Thanks.

Do the factory reset first before even thinking about locking the bootloader to see if that fixes things. Even then don't lock it!
However, if you must lock it, be full factory stock with no mods or root and stock recovery. Leave OEM unlocking and USB debugging ON until your finished locking it. Good luck to you.

Don't relock the bootloader!! You'll just be asking for trouble and a possible brick. The problem you're having with apps has nothing to do with the bootloader being unlocked. If you're thinking of factory resetting then flash the stock firmware with fastboot. That'll accomplish the same thing and will also put a fresh system on your device.
Thanks, will try the factory reset first and avoid locking the bootloader if at all possible. I have my suspicions on the bootloader causing any issues with the apps, and sounds like it is not that, so am happy to leave it alone. Some of the apps it does not bother me, but for example I picked up a DJI drone and the DJI Go 4 app gets stuck in a loop constantly on my phone, yet works perfectly on my tablet. Figured trying getting the phone as close to factory as possible would be a place to start with figuring it out, just not looking forward to having to re-install all the apps!!

Is your tablet on pie? There are apps that have not been updated to support pie os. I'm guessing a drone app hasn't been updated.
Good point, the tablet is not on Pie. Is there a way to check if an app is updated? For example Stringify does not open at all, just hangs on the splash screen until Android asks if I want to close it, yet my phone has a permanent notification that it's running (it used to open). IFTTT will open and work, but after I create a new applet, it shows recommended applets, but won't let me back out of that without clicking it dozens of times. There are other apps that just hang in random spots as well. Figure if I can quickly check if they are updated, that may help.

I don't know of a good way. I just looked at stringify in the play store and it seems lots of people are having issues, including one who specifically referenced it not working on pie.
Looks like a factory reset did the trick, both Stringify and DJI Go appear to be working, what is now causing me problems is that I no longer have Samsung Wear and cannot find it to install it, which without it, makes my watch all but useless.
