Ok, i believe that i read some time back that you could use a touch pro 2 battery in the evo. correct me if im wrong, but if the stock battery that we use is as true to 1500mah, wouldnt the HTC manufactured 2150 mah be one of the best extended batteries to buy? I have found a couple for sale, and wanted to be sure that the touch pro 2 battery does in fact work in our evo. thanks and sorry for yet another battery post.

Here is the amazon link to the batteries. I know they wont fit under our stock door but for 10 slices of paper from my wallet plus the addition of having to buy another stock evo battery cover to modify to fit this battery, I feel like this isn't a bad deal considering the price. I should get the battery sometime around Friday or Monday of next week. Will post pics of said modification and results as soon as possible.
there are "3500" mAh batteries available for under $10 too. I believe they are closer to 2800. I've found the yoobao 3000mah batteries to be the best, got mine for 20 shipped.
and yes, the tp2 will work in an evo. you aren't going to be able to mod the stock cover to fit that. just buy an extended cover, you can get them with the battery for about 8.

Well I'm gonna hack up my old battery Cover so the battery will stick through. I have one of those crystal gel cases that will hold the battery in place, I just want the cover there to act as a speaker cover. The extended covers make the phone too large. I think this will keep the phone slim it will only be slightly thicker than it is now. I have come up with a couple of designs as well that allow me to use the stock battery door and hold the battery in place without my case. Like I stated in my earlier post, I'll post up the concept and see what ppl think. I just wish they made a battery cover that went around the battery and not make the entire back bubble out.
Check out the Mugen 4500 mah battery if you will be hacking up your back cover... I think there is a thread that has info for it.. Search
Gimme a week and ill post what im doing. Lol i still wanna keep the phone slim for the most part, so no 3500 or 4500 mah batteries

I'm loving my Yoobao 3000mah battery. With medium use, overclocking and custom kernel, I get about 36 hours out of my phone. Well 28-29 not counting sleep time.
verdict 2150mha touch pro 2 battery DOES NOT WORK!!!! Repeat DOES NOT WORK! So i bought a sedio 3500 battery and fell in love with that instead!
They are on ebay, has anyone tried or purchased...looks amazing. I have an EVO w the siedio 3500 and am very happy. A friend has the siedio for his tbolt and seems satisfied too.....but 4500 mAh....shiat!
Personally I would say to go with the 2750, you never know what you are going to be getting with those shady ebay batteries that. And most likely that 4500mAh is probably around 3500mAh, I think there was a link somewhere showing those batteries to be fake.
I've actually used Mugen batteries and they performed better than OEM or Seido.
here is a link to a video of the Mugen 4500
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHuSfX-wv7g&feature=player_embedded
I love Mugen but that thing is just too big and ugly and no case will ever be made to fit it, and even if there was, it would be ugly as hell too. IF someone decides they want one of these, i would get it at the official site:

I've actually had the opposite experience with Mugen on my old Droid X but with batteries it's always going to be YMMV.
fuuuuck look at the price of it. geez for that buy two extended batteries and youre good. or buy a good external battery charge. or buy a crap load of knock off batteries but over $100 for that? yea no thanks
This thing is horrid lol.

I purchased the "Innocell 1750mAh Slim Extended Life Battery" from Seidio online.
I was getting just enough from the stock battery to get me through until I went to bed and put my inc2 on the charger.
Now I can go a day and a half before I need to charge!
All this and it fits with the stock cover. Definitely worth the 45 dollars!
Just me 2c

seidio is the way to go. my 1750 should be coming today!
you will love it!!
Give it a couple of full charges... before you start getting the full advantage of batt.
I hated the ones I got for my Inc1. Lasted just as long as stock battery and that wasn't worth $45. I traded it out twice thinking it was maybe a bad battery. Same problem even after waiting a couple days of use. Sold it to my friend and he hates it. Best battery I bought was the 1600mah oem TP2 HTC battery from ebay for $5. Lasted two days on that thing plus it was OEM. I'll consider Seidio again but I wasn't happy the first time around.

Agreed. Typically third party batteries (including Seidio) have exaggerated mah ratings. The batteries that are marketed as being extended batteries might have a little more juice, but not nearly as much as the rating indicates. They often tend to wear out much quicker.
Glad this one seems to be working for the OP though. Perhaps this one is different than most of the rest.

Yes it'd be great if it did. I wish someone knew of an OEM HTC battery with a higher capacity that would fit our phones. Even if it's from another model
Just ordered one.

I bought 1800mah Mugen Power instead, heard good things about their battery, it's slim so I don't have to use different back cover. still waiting for mine.
Love my Mugen slim extended, definitely significant more life out of it over stock
I have the Mugen also; I tried the Seidio 1750 w/my DInc1 and while it was an improvement over the stock battery it did not perform well over time. I've had the Mugen for ~3 weeks now and am quite happy with it...I hope I can say the same thing in a few more months.
Do you think those cheapies on eBay are worth it? Could they damage my phone? 3500 with extended cover for $11...

I've gone through a lot of batteries for my Inc1 and best results come from the OEM batteries.
Ordered a lot off eBay and only seller bidallies sold legit OEM. The generic work but lose capacity over a few weeks and are off on the ratings, Seidio is good but barely better than stock and not worth the $$$ on the original Inc. I'll be trying a Mugen next.
So I recommend saving the money you'd waste on the junk batteries and buy a good one that'll last.

True that. I purchased several junk batteries before getting the Seidio 3500 mah battery. So much better than the other "high capacity" batteries.

Yeah I'd like to keep stock back cover. Like I mentioned with the Inc1, the HTC Touch Pro 2 battery fits fine and it was a 1600mah while the stock Inc1 battery was (in HTCs infinite wisdom) a 1300mah. Fit snug but still fit under stock battery cover and gave extra few hours of life.
Save the money and just order a couple original stock ones on eBay for $10 a pop.
Don't need to go into details about how your paying for a placebo affect. I made the mistake. Never again.
Absolute ripoff.

So what is the best one for a stack cover? I would like to use the stock cover because of my otter box. I am assuming with the extended cover my otter box will not fit.?.
hey guys, i want to buy a extended battery for my gnex, but i cant decide between 35USD samsung 2000mah battery or 8USD 3800mah one.
some guys says that 3800mah wont last a month and after will drop from 50% to 10% in minutes, but i think 2000mah is too little additional on 1750mah stock battery. what do you guys think?
thanks in advance
I'd buy the 2000 one and use the 1750 as a spare for heavy days. This way you don't have the bulk the 3800 brings to the Nexus. I have all three and estimate the 3800 is more like 2500 and thus not really an upgrade over the 2000 one.
I would say just get this. Can use it on new phone and other devices.

I would say go with the extended. I bought the Hyperion 3800 and the trexcell extended case and I couldn't be any happier with it.
The battery is more than double in my real world experience. The bulk isn't that serious to me at least. I just love using my phone without worrying about battery life.

but hyperion is a good brand, and my nexus is a gsm i9250 not compatible. the 3800 battery i was asking is generic brands, i dont know if worth spend money on them
EDIT: generic batteries can hurt my phone? like explode or anything else?
i have the qcell 3850 for about 2 weeks. i love it no complaints so far
i guess definitly 3800 is the choice if you are looking for pure battery life .. you only need to see if it "fits" your hand or not .... but for the comments i see on the forum, it looks like is just a matter of getting use to it
I just recently bought the onite 3500mah battery(with NFC) for 20$. Yet to test, m out of country ATM, but there are excellent reviews on amazon for it
Also using qcell 3850 for a few weeks and been pretty happy with the performance so far. Easily go through 1 day ++ (sometimes 2 days) with moderate usage.
The extra bulk didn't bother me at all.
I researched a lot before spending money on a new battery and the conclusion I made is that is better buy a new battery instead a power pack, so I have two options the 10 dollars 3900mah battery or 18 dollars 3850mah hyperion battery. Does hyperion brand worth this price over the generic brand?

But don't know when it will finally reach me since I am in India.
I just ordered a 2100 mah and I hope its good shouldn't be bulky hope I can use my cases with it.

I bought the 2100 Samsung extended for $25 on sale, about a month later I bought the Hyperon 3800 and I couldn't be happier.
The extended one Samsung tries to sell you is a joke, it's only a few hundred mah bigger.
I love my hyperon battery and the bulk isn't that bad, I actually like the small lip on the bottom it's nice for holding the phone up. Plus I've gotten almost 5 hours of screen time before.

I just got that battery today from Sprint. My TPU case fits with it just fine. I don't think any 2 piece snap together would, but I can't say that for sure as I only have the one case.

Yeah, it does last a little longer. Hell, for $7 any brand new battery would have been worth it. Plus a new back? Winning all around.

Hi,
I just ordered GS3 and am waiting for it to arrive. It's T999L, but I figured there shouldn't be any difference in terms of extended battery options. I'm thinking to buy an extended battery, so I'd like to hear people's experiences and recommendations. I've already done some search, and here are my thoughts:
- There are extended batteries that are too thick to fit in the original back cover, but they offer longer battery life (of course). Biggest issue for me is, I'd want to use a regular protective case on my phone, and looks like if I make my phone thicker with one of those batteries, I'd have to order a bigger case instead.
- There are extended batteries that do fit in the original back cover. But, I ponder if it's really worth the extra $ spent compared to the stock battery.
What have been your experience? Please share
Thanks,
GT
I've got the genuine samsung 3000 mAh battery and it's been great. You give up no functionality especially NFC and I get over 5hrs of screen time. There was a thread about it and many others in the accessories section.
I suggest you take a look there.

Oh ok. Thanks for the suggestion With 3000mAh, were you able to use a regular case on your GS3? Could you tell me which case you used if it fit?
