can anyone find the MSN Movies App? ive enev tried market place search for it but to no avail. i live in in the UK, is this the problem?

Using bing search also works here in the USA.
thanks ill give tyhe a try instead as i cant find it anywhere in the market place. not even when i bing it.

Hi everyone, I am using the hd7 and my background for the bing search engine hasn't changed since i bought the phone, I am tired of looking at that penguin and can't figure out how to change it, I downloaded bing pictures downloader but also can't figure out how to use it to change the backgrounds for bing, any help please?

This didn't work for me. Im still stuck on the image of that Puffin and I've gone from initially thinking it to be cute to avoiding using my Bing search because I'm so tired of seeing that stupid bird. Anyone else still having this problem? Any working fixes for it?

I live out in the country where broadband is not available, and I refuse to pay for crappy DSL, so I don't have WiFi at home. But, I'll stop at a hotspot on the way home tomorrow and try it.
Toggling in and out of landscape mode in the search app seems to help for me

yep i can confirm i just had the penguin and connceted my phone to wifi and than went back to bing and it change the picture. im sure its a bug soon to be fix.
I had a similar issue but it went away, not sure, maybe it's based on your net connection or something?
I installed Synergy RC2 on my Incredible. I reinstalled all my apps from the market place. However, I was going to open Amazon MP3 and noticed that the Cloud Player was missing. Further investigation and it turns out I have the UK version, despite being in the US.
My Google Maps keeps defaulting to the UK too, then locates me in the US, but always starts in the UK.
How can I fix this? I'd like to get the US Version of Amazon MP3 back on my phone.
EDIT: Solution Discovered. If anyone else runs into this issue, go to settings/language & keyboard/language and select English. It will reset sense and fix the problem.

Recently my Lumia 900 is not finding it's location when I use apps like Bing Search or Yelp. When using the built in Bing search it finds my search request but when I click on the directions icon it is unable to find my location and gives me a No Location Information error.
The only app that consistently gets my location is Nokia Drive. I'm getting frustrated that many of the apps that use location are not working. I've enabled location sharing for the phone and all the apps to no avail.
Anyone else seeing this? Any suggestions?

Mine is doing the same thing. It used to work fine. Over the last several weeks it has been getting worse. I've uninstalled most of the apps that have access to location to see if they were causing some interference with something but nothing is working. Local Scout fails to load anything half the time now, too. Nothing has changed with my phone. Never dropped, never abused, and used to work like a charm.

To be honest I can't tell if Local Scout works well or not. It never has what I want (like an option to search) so I just use better apps like Yapf or Yelp. I do know that it took a while for my location to be correctly determined when I was in NYC this past weekend. Today on a drive from southern Vermont to northern New Hampshire, my Nokia Drive lost GPS a few times. It took 5 or so minutes before it was back on track.
Do you guys also have issues with losing/having an incorrect GPS location while using Maps or Nokia Drive?
I don't know how many people use the OnStar RemoteLink app, but I have used it since I bought my new truck in December. Those 0% interest deals were really good to me! The app use to use Google maps to send an address to your vehicle. Someone somewhere decided it would be a good idea to get rid of Google maps and replace it with Bing. I swore that I would not upgrade to the latest version that uses Bing. However, the app now throws an error when opening, and is forcing me to upgrade in order to continue using it. Does anybody know of a way to keep the version that uses Google maps running? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I have tried downloading stuff like aptoide, youtube from hear on xda and a couple other things from places other then the play store. I was able to install a copy of aptoide I had on my sd card and was also able to download apps without a problem. So it seems to be only using the browser or links that download from the internet. Does anybody have a solution to this?

Common problem while on mobile, has to do with the way the protocol is sent and received. I have this problem sometimes on my shift, so its not a phone thing but rather mobile as a whole
Try changing your User Agent to desktop, if your browser has that option
