After perma-rooting, installing clockwork recovery, and then bacon bits I have a blank boot screen untill right before complete booting at which point the splash screen shows up for no more than 5 seconds or so. Is this normal?

Based on my research it seems it may be fastboot, but I'm still not sure, if anyone has had the same issue or can shed some light on it feel free.

Which splash screen? HTC or T-Mobile?
T-Mobile g2 splash screen.

It does not seem to have any effect on the operation of the phone or boot process, so I guess it is just a fluke.

Has anyone had this issue?
Am i using the wrong theme?

I have my desire on T-mobile and when I start up the phone there is initially a pink circle image that appears before the boot animation.
I was just wondering if this is something that can be changed or is it built into the phone by T-Mobile?

probably it is your splashscreen. to change your splashscreen you need s-off. after that check the forum on how to change your splashscreen.

If its the splash screen shown immediately before the boot animation then you will need to flash that separately using a separate tool.
Take a look in the Apps & Themes section, I've used it myself.

No problem, I've gone for a simple Google on a black background.
My Epic Touch is stuck on a constant boot loop, just showing the sprint screen over and over. I'm unsure what to do to fix this. I read to restore a factory rom, but unsure if such a thing exists or not...
Can anyone help me?
? Not enough info..............................................?

My girlfriend tried sending me a picture message and her phone froze, she had to pull the battery to reboot it, but now the phone boots, but sense will not start. It keeps switching between a black screen and the white HTC screen that shows when sense starts loading. The phone is 100% stock, never been rooted in the past or anything.
Any help would be appreciated
