16 Shcut 2 clock problem Help!!! - HD Mini Themes and Apps

I instaled app and it worked ok until several days ago.The problem is that my clock is always going 1 or 2 hours ahead. When it is back to normal settings on the local time after soft reset again shows the clock 2 hours ahead of local time.Any advice what to do ???

go to settings, more, personal, phone and gsm services.you have the time sync option.turn it of.i had the same pb now it s fixed.
have a nice day

This is not a problem of the Gabbana's theme, it's the problem of HTC Sense. Unfortunately disabling auto-time-update in settings often does nothing and the Mini still changes hour. The only 100% effective way to fix it is to edit the registry:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Clock - here you must find entry "NetworkTimeSync" and change "1" to "0", and also the same change for "HomeDST" in the same place.

Thanx...
Thanx ppl,i'll try do what you suggest...have nice day and thx again

Wi-Fi in standby. Tried all, nothing works :(

Hi,
Like you sure have heared before, the Touch Pro 2 disconnects the Wi-Fi when in standby mode. Normally this isn't a big problem, but because i often use MSN messenger on my phone, it automatically enables GPRS/UMTS when the phone goes in to standby. Because of this i will have data costs when i have a Wi-Fi available too. I have tried some tweaks i found here already. I have used tools like HD tweak. These wouldn't work for me. I have also tried changing the registry keys manually. I changed to following keys.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Power\State\Suspend\{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006}
-change (Default) DWORD Dec to 1 (was 4 before)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Power\State\Resuming\{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006}
-change (Default) DWORD Dec to 1 (was 4 before)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Power\State\Unattended\{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006}
-change (Default) DWORD Dec to 1 (was 0 before)
This also has no effect and for some reason everytime i soft-reset my device, the unattended key has changed back to 0 again.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem? I dont mind that GPRS/UMTS starts automatically when no other connection is active. But I have Wi-Fi only enabled when i actually use it so i dont mind the battery life too much in that case.
Hope anyone has a solution. Thnx in advance..
me too.
Tried advanced-configuration-tool , HD Tweak, Diamond Tweak, none of these work.
Any solution?

make the changes in reg:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\BCMSDDHD1\Parms]
"HTCKeepWifiOnWhenUnattended"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\TNETW12511\Parms]
"HTCKeepWifiOnWhenUnattended"=dword:00000001
Only the 1st key is needed. thanks

in fact, you don't have to do the soft-reset
it takes effect immediately(at least for me)
It looks like since I changed this setting, the battery drains very quickly. This morning 8AM it was fully charged, now 2PM its on 40%, and I haven't hardly touched it...
I will restore the key value to 0 again to see if it solves the battery drain...
Yes this works also for Topaz. However you need to keep something in mind:
This setting may reset itself on soft-reset (some people on Topaz forum reported this)
This will drain battery like a "mofo". I would not suggest using it unless you really need it, like when using VoIP completely and no normal 'call' at all.
Please note that "MSN Messenger" use will also use lot of power, as it may keep the phone in unattended mode, which uses much more power than normal true "standby" (suspended) mode.
Final, for Topaz you would use TNETW... registry hack, for Rhodium you use the BCM.... one. You don't need to do both (Rhodium introduces new Wi-Fi chip compared to last 10 or so HTC phones)
Effect is immediate - however beware when connecting/disconnecting USB cable/activesync at the same time as switching back/from unattended mode, as the activesync connection bug worked around by the Topaz and Rhodium Wi-Fi drivers will temporarily disable Wi-Fi, may reset this setting, and data connections made at the exact moment this happens will use the cellular connection instead of Wi-Fi.
(I needed to disasm entire driver to figure this out for new WMWifiRouter Topaz/Rhodium compatibility patch )
working perfectly
Guys,
Off course if you apply this hack and leave WIFI on all the time the battery will be dead in no time. Whenever you know that you won't be using it, wifi should be turned off. I like this hack because in the case were I am online on MSN for example, I don't have to keep concerned about the device shutting off so that I don't loose connection. It can suspend and still have wifi connection.
However, when I stop using wifi, I turn wifi off completely from communication manager to save battery. What is the use of wifi being kept on with no need for it?
What I love about my Nokia E71 is that it automatically asks me to choose a way to connect when I access a web site or send/receive an email or try to log into MSN. I would just choose the access point and viola as easy as that. In wm, we have to turn on wifi and then do what we want to do.
I guess its a small price to pay for having such a device
Ok, this is my report. I only change the 1st key & it will stick even on soft-reset.
12AM full charge. Device in standby mode with wifi always on & live mail set to sync as item arrive. 6.45AM = Alarm triggered, battery at 80% , 25 email in inbox, 3 in junk folder. Device was set to play tone & vibrate on new email. Volume below medium. Good enough for me
Works perfect on my sprint tp2. just the first registry change needed (second isn't even there). I then mapped the left soft key in the today screen in manilla to \windows\wifisettings.exe so that it is easy to manually turn this on/off. It worked perfect for me for a couple days until I fell asleep surfing the web and the battery was dead when I awoke.
Note: I just changed it back and turned wifi settings to best performance instead. I will just have to deal with continually having to go to the service agreement page for the open network at my hospital. This is better than a dead battery.
WiFi always-on tweak now broken on TP2/WM6.5

Hi Chainfire,
Looks like this tweak setting is now reseting itself on soft-reset on the TP2 with the official WM6.5 ROM.
(Used to work for TP2/WM6.1).
Searched the Rhodium/Topaz forums for a solution - no luck.
Have you had any luck with your disassembler ?

So I only need to change this.NOTHING ELSE?
The other registries are not necessary to change from 4->1 ?
EDIT: Never mind, you should also change the other registries
But now, my phone doesnt sleep on its own, I have to force it by hitting the power button
This worked for me for a while and then it stopped. It was doing exactly what i wanted (ie...downloading my emails even during standby), then all of a sudden, it stopped and kept turning on the data connection. The registry values didn't change back to default, but it still kept undoing the edit. I thought of a [less effective] way around it still.
Since wifi disables during standby, disable standby. When my phone's not being used, the backlight turns off and the phone locks, but you can still see the contents of the screen and wifi stays on. I JUST started trying it, so I don't know what that does for the battery as yet. If anyone can gimme some advice, please do.
Same here with the stock 6.5 rom.
A solution would be really good...
Am i to think that it only remains constant on the 6.1 rom?

Backlight will go off after 7 sec...

Dear all,
I've decided to recover a backup file from SBP backup. Neraly everything is restored perfect, just the backlight is a problem...
After 7 seconds of use, the backlight will go off.
I can chane these settings in the setting ==> backlight tab, but everytime after a soft reset or after placing the device in standby and continue using it, it is back on 7 sec...
My second stap was to search in the register.
I've found HKEY Current User ==> Control pannel ==> backlight
I can see here that the value of the 'BatteryTimeout = 7'
So here is the problem, I can set it to 60 and now it is working, but...
after entering standby or softresetting the device ==> The register is set back to 7 sec...
Can someone help me to let it 60? Make it read-only or something like it?
Thanks in advance!
Ranney
It's imbeliveble! I've searched on google yesterday for four hours, this morning for 2 hours, and now decided to make a post here. As happy as I am now, I've found the solution here!
==> http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-351709.html
I have the 10 second issue too - it is related to using an exchange server..
Were you using at tp2? Which version of WinMo? and which fix on the link you posted worked for you?
For anyone else who finds this: DO NOT use the HTC tilt cab fix... your backlight will never come back on after a lock...
Thanks!

SOLVED!! - TF3D Weather - change update frequency?

Anybody know if there's a way to change the update interval for the weather tab in TF3D? I'm not even sure how often mine currently updates; I've seen it say "Last Update" as old as 3 hours. I most often see it as 2 hours, so I assume it's updating right around every 3 hours or so.
I'd like to get it to update at least every hour, if not every half hour. The weather here in Minnesota can change pretty quickly!
Does anybody know how to do this?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
That's a mystery to me, too. Under menu/settings, you can check "Download weather automatically." But it doesn't say how often and I don't see where you can set or change the interval.
Any ROM with Sense/TF3D/Manila 2.5 allows specified update times for stock, weather, etc. There's a link in my signature to EnergyROM, and it has TF3D 2.5. The only downside to TF3D 2.5 is that it doesn't support landscape, and can be slightly laggy at times.
I'm using the Energy ROM, but it's the newest one which had Manila backed off to 2.1 (I think).
Is this still possible somehow without going to Manila 2.5?
Thanks,
Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems to me the “auto update” feature isn’t what most people think it should be. I’ve observed that if you have the auto update toggled on, it just means that every time you navigate to the weather tab and the weather is over 3 hrs old, your device will attempt to retrieve updated info. It doesn’t retrieve the updated info on a fixed regular interval in the background. You must navigate to the weather tab to trigger the update.
I do believe it automatically updates in the background after around 3 hours as well, because I have at times went to the weather tab and found it to be, for instance, 14 minutes old.
It's just annoying because I'm using a Today Screen that has the weather underneath the clock. so if it updates at, say, 7 in the morning and it's 31 degrees out, then I look again at 9:30am and the today screen still says 31 degrees, when its actually gotten up to, say, 42 degrees. That's what happened this morning...

Yeas, same behavior here.
Perhaps any registry edit?
Hope this can have a solution as it´s very annoying
Thanks,
Looking for a reg hack for this too .. seems odd that it does not update more often if you want it too .. i have unlimited bandwith so not a big deal to me ...
someone ? Help us ?
bump..
I too would like to know the answer to this, its annoying looking at it and haing o check the last time it updated Kinda defeats the purpose
I wonder i seem to not be seeing full animation on the home screen, just a short fade in. No Temperature either, any thoughts?
I am using Energy Rom with 2.1 on TILT2
After it auto updates, does it disconnect the data connection on it's own or do you have to manually disconnect it? I'm only worried that if the phone stays connected, it will drain my battery way to fast.
On mine the data connection stays on so i turn off auto update.

Try this instead: Download and install Advanced Config if you don't already have it (most cooked ROMs do), run it, tap the "Menu" softkey, then "More Settings" then "Connections". Then, check the "Disconnect after:" box, and set it to whatever you like (mine's set at 5 minutes). Tap "OK" at the bottom, exit Advanced Config, soft reset and the changes will take effect. In my experience, your battery life will be much better after doing this.

Got it working folks! I added the reg entry from a Sense 2.5 ROM, and can confirm that I've got it auto updating weather every half hour!!
Create this DWord entry in the following key:
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\
Dword Name:
Weather.AutoDownloadInterval
DWord Value:
30 (Decimal)
Change the value to whatever time you want in minutes. Reboot. Voila!
Enjoy!

Excellent work bro. Been looking for this for a looong time.

Any trick for automatic update of the weather image.
I mean for example: now is night ... I update the weather application via internet ... the image is e.g. the moon (but I also have the meteo for next 3 days)... If I don't update again, the image of the moon still remain even at midday and don't change also the day after. Is it possible to have an image that change updated with the clock? I don't want update constantly via internet for having a correct image on my today screen
SPB weather do this correctly.
Sorry for my bad english ... I hope you can understand.
Thanks in advance.

The image updates with the weather...because it displays the weather, not just day-or-night. I mean, it doesn't show just a sun or moon, it can be sun-with-clouds, moon-with-rain, etc. So that's why it doesn't change if you don't update the weather. If you set it to update once every hour or two...that's a very small hit on battery life.
Okay, this "hack" is behaving a little strangely. I absolutely know for certain that it essentially works - my weather has updated every half hour numerous times now. But, if you've got a weak signal and the weather CAN'T update at the required time, it seems to break. It has happened once now, and I looked at the weather tab and it said last updated 1 hour ago.
What I SHOULD have done then was just wait, to see when it finally tried again. But instead I hit the update button and updated it, after which it worked as it should and updated every half hour.
So, once it "breaks" by not being able to retrieve the update, I need to find out how long it waits after that, and if it DOES finally auto update again, whether or not it sticks to the half hour interval after.
I'll keep an eye on it and let you know what happens. In the meantime, I absolutely suggest adding that reg entry! No ill effects so far, even once "broke" I'm certain it will auto update again eventually. Plus, it doesn't fail to update often at all (only when my signal is at like 1 bar), so for day to day purposes this should be excellent.
And like I said, if it does fail, you just have to manually update it once and it's back up again.
GOod luck, let me know if anyone else experiences this. I just tend to go to a few places with no signal alot...
THanks,
Jeff

Jeff.....thank you soooooo much for discovering this!! Im going to try this asap !! I have been wanting to autoupdate the weather at a specific time interval forever. Also, if someone could cab this or better yet add it to advance config or other config app which you could easily edit the time interval...that would be luv. Thanks again for this.
p.s. could you post which rom and radio your using..
My pleasure!
It's still a little flaky, but I think that's because the URL for the updates is being flaky. I tried a manual update 4 times before it was successful. THen I set the interval to 10 minutes, and it indeed updated appropriately every 10 mins. So again, it works, but it appears we're at the mercy of the server that's dishing out the weather info.
I'm on the Energy ROM from 11/08/2009 and I'm using the 4.49.25.05 Radio.
I would absolutely cab this up for you, but I have not learned how yet. So until someone else can, you're going to have to make the reg entry by hand.
If someone does cab this up, might I suggest making several cabs for different update times. Perhaps a 30 minute, a 60 minute, and a 15 minute for the really hardcore junkies?
Thanks, good luck, and enjoy the more frequent updates!

Clock is behind.

I have searched and searched. Is there a way to reset it. I have checked and unchecked the time zone change setting under settings/system/phone. That didn't work. I also reprovisioned the phone to work with ATT. I did a soft reset. I removed the battery. I removed the sim. I can't get it to readjust to the correct time.
If you link/Active Sync with a desktop/notebook I noticed that my time changes when I do that.
Plus, I noticed that whenever I soft-reset a lot my clock falls behind.
I switched from Sence to SPB Mobile Shell, that sortof solved my clock prb. cause I only soft reset like once a day now, not like 10+.

<< Internal Clock does not sync correctly / Time is also shown wrong >>

Hello there,
the Problem I have came suddenly, without Change the Environment or any other paramter of my phone.
The screenshot attached Shows everything:
The internal clock in the right top does not synchronise with the correct time.
When I restart the phone everything is fine for some hours, until the clocks start showing different values again.
It doesn't matter if I set the time manually or provide it by carrier.
I have read other threads in german Forums, as this Problem is not brand, but android related.
Anyone has a solution?
This Problem is disgusting, as I can not rely on the time, my Alarm clock or anything else.
Any News?
Wow, this really is a strange one. Did you try to look into Time settings? Maybe fiddle a little bit with it, change the timezone, automatic time update, you know, to force it behave a bit different and then revert it back to the original settings. Maybe it's a very hard to reproduce glitch or something.
Also, there's pretty good chance everything will be OK after a factory reset but I can imagine this is not always an option.
Have had this issue on my 5x and also a tablet I had. A factory reset has been the only answer each time.
