I think there's already a lot of threads about Social Networking for X1.
I'm just curious. Official x1 Facebook App is not that good. Does no auto-refresh and notify you for any new activities.
I find no Official Twitter App.
I am thinkin for having "via experia" in social N updates. Like in facebook for blackberry it says "via blackberry". I know it's kinda childish but it makes me proud I got this xperia phone.
Can anyone please direct me to all Social Networking App compatible for SE X1?
Thank you and God Bless!
I recently download the windows mobile marketplace for my x1. This is like the app store for wm 6.0 and up. From the marketplace i downloaded the facebook app which is much better then the x1 facebook app and the facebook panel.
Try it out.
To get the marketplace, search windows mobile marketplace on your x1(i used opera) and then go to the microsoft windows mobile link and follow the instructions from there.
hope this helps.
ps. Facebook and many other apps are free through marketplace.
For twitter I use motweets. It comes in two versions, one ad-supported and therefore free the other is commercial software. I use the free version and I am happy with it. I don't use facebook at all (hate it) but have you tried the xda facebook app yet?
I have my data disabled at the mo as I used 500MB in about 5 days and I was just wondering if the included support for Photosynth on the WP7?
do you mean uploading your photos to skydrive?
If so, you can disable this under settings/ applications/ pictures and videos and turn off the autosync to skydrive.
Sorry no, my nexus one has an app for photosynth which lets me browse the collections. With it being an MS app Im hoping there is one for WP7.

I think that this will come... in time.
It was suggested in the pre-release official Windows Phone forums and was very well received. I imagine it will come direct from Microsoft, though it may be possible for an individual to code the app (not sure though).
Casey
I have seen a video on youtube which is like photosynth but with a different name and not made by microsoft.

You might want to check this out. This is out for the iphone and will be updated to WP7 ... hopefully ;D .. but this is exactly what you mean. Watch the video!!!
Does anyone have ANY updates on the Skype app for mango?
I haven't heard anything but I'm thinking they're going to release it when they release mango to the GP and begin their media blitz.

Yes, what happened to Skype on Mango? And also, what happened to Google+ on WP7?
People use google +?
I don't think Skype will be in at launch, but maybe something that will be either added via app or next release?
But new Mango phones I believe will get Tango, an already popular cross-platform video calling app.

they said skype APP will be released this fall. So far no announcements have been made
Lol, some of these questions are phrased as though Mango is even released yet. Only a small percentage of users have Mango, and the majority of that percentage are on here... We aren't supposed to have it yet. It was announced, and I suspect when Mango does go live, we'll see more official announcements, especially from launch partners... 4Sq, Twitter, FB, etc.
What I'm most curious about is what they're going to do about the "check-in" feature in WinPhone considering that FB Places is going away. I hope it changes to a 4Sq system.

Doesn't the check-in feature use Bing and not FB places? I wouldn't mind having 4sq implemented into the Me tile, however.

It is Facebook places. And it's not gonna be replaced by anything else. I don't remember the articles about it completely, but what I actually do recall is, that Facebook is not gonna abandon the places feature. They're just changing something about it. Whatsoever they change, it doesn't have any impact on the check-in functionality of Windows Phone.
They aren't "abandoning" FB Places, but they are replacing it with a new "Nearby" feature. And it sounds like it may not have a "check-in" capability that works the same way that Places does. So I think there may be some fallout for WP7 check-in.

According to the facebook guys, this won't happen. But honestly, who cares? I know just a handful of people who actually use this feature.
skype isnt available for mango yet, but other cool mango apps are.

Then maybe they need to get their stories straight . The details I posted were taken from a TechCrunch article, which was based on a briefing they had with one of the "product leads" at FB.

It is FB places. Sorry guys... I just saw the WP logo and assumed it was a Bing check-in.

Back to the original point though, this would be much more useful as a Foursquare check in lol

I honestly wish I could remember where exactly I read about it. I think it was WPCentral. Not too sure though, sorry. :/
@FiyaFleye
Wasn't the original point about Skype? But I share your thoughts. Having a native Foursquare check-in would be truly nice.

Yeah, I think a few of us kind of derailed the thread a bit , but I agree. Integrated Foursquare support would be very cool. That is one app that I use multiple times every day.
Oh, and back on topic. we know that Skype is coming very soon. Initially it will be in app form (very likely before the end of the year), but eventually it will be integrated.
mango apps available?

Lots of people use Foursquare daily. I used to use it several times a day, even tho I didn't know anyone else who used it.
I don't think they should waste time on Foursquare integration. Time would be better spend integrating DMs and FB Offline Messages into the Messaging or Email Hub, IMO.
I think they should have put a different pane in the Email Client with an option for us to Auto-Filter emails from integrated Social Networks into that, so that those of us who want faster (consistently faster) notifications could send them to email and get them fast. People Hub still doesn't support PUSH from what I've read/seen and since Hotmail/the email client doesn't support Labels like GMail it's a real ***** to organize stuff... Really, really, annoying.
I've tweeted them @voxer and they told me they have no current plans on bringing it over

For those who don't know it's a cross platform push to talk app. Currently available on android and iPhone.
I suggest everyone requests the app on here http://support.voxer.com/entries/20685611-voxer-for-windows-phone-7. And in there twitter page @voxer

thats good they're saying its not in their immediate plans hopefully if we can show a demand/want for this app they'll port it over to windows phone 7
even when we finally got KIK over they said they noticed a huge surge in usage of the app it'll only benefit Vox and make us happy over on wp7
That woulde be good if we come together.
man i just tried this app out on a android phone this **** is amazing its like the kik messenger app but with voice and it integrates with your facebook account so everybody in your phone book and your facebook page with this app is automatically placed into your contacts
we NEED this app on wp7 this is ridiculous its a great app too
ive been getting responses from them on twitter they say theres a update coming and its gonna let u use the app from the web browser but they didnt say if it was gonna work on the phones or not and they still havent said anything about a wp7 app yet
