[Q] How many windows live id can be used in one Windows Phone 7 device's marketplace? - Windows Phone 7 General

Hi buddies,
Is there any one know that how many windows live id can be used in one WP7 device?
Yes, I know one windows live id can use 5 devices, you can find this limitation from Zune desktop -> settings ->Account -> Computers and devices. If you have more than 5 WP7 devices you should delete some from this place.
Now I have a WP7(LG GW910), I can binding a Windows Live ID in this phone. And all the other windows live related functions(contact, email, pictures, canlendar and so on) work fine. But always got a message "Can't get this info right now. Check back in a little while." when I click the "install" button in APP's detail page. The apps also can't be installed from Zune PC software. I checked the devices list from "Zune ->settings ->Account -> Computers and devices", and this phone did not here.
I remeber that my friends tried to download app from another WP7 device, he got a message said that cannot registry the marketplace account(his live id is first used in his WP7 device, and never have a marketplace relationship) due to the device binded too many windows live id.
I guess my WP7 device met the same issue, there are too many people used this phone before me. So I cannot use marketplace now. Is there any one know this limitation and how to resolve it?

try performing a factory reset (settings > system > about > reset your phone)? I was wondering how MS would do this. I'm presuming it's part of their theft prevention that it does tightly couple the windows live ID with the phone, but i'm not sure in your case what you should do. but a factory reset is probably a good place to start.

Normally you can change a device's Live ID once a month (so if you have 5 devices you can exchange one every month). If your device has been connected to multiple live IDs since it was bought you might have to wait for that time to expire before being able to download from the marketplace.
Not sure on this but the one month policy occured somewhere and it's the most plausible cause for the issue if other people used the phone before.

[Q] WP7 and Zune relationship

Hey Guys,
So I discovered a bit of an issue here. (more rediscovered than anything else)
I have a Samsung Focus and I use the Zune Pass; Such a great combination even though they did leave out some key zune features (smart dj HELLOO!)
Problem is; it took me a few factory resets to really get my focus working the way I wanted. Unfortunately the zune software only allows for relationship changes once a month... and it doesn't use the device's serial number (phone or Mp3 player) to create that record. So now, I've finally gotten the focus working right but Zune won't let me set up the relationship because it sees that another focus is already assigned (the same one before it was reset). I'm going to be able to update the relationship in 30 days. Till then my phone is listed as a guest; no syncing music at all...
Unless there's a way around that; my phone is without zune pass for a month....
Anyone experience this?

I had mine on one computer then switched to another and it let me then i simply added the path to the music on the first pc to my search list. all good.
Thats most likely because you only have one zune device. Since zune pass allows for 3 devices, My 2 sisters are sharing the account with me. That means only one more slot for the focus. I understand why it locked me out. I'm just frustrated that the software can't see that it's the same focus I registered with in the first place. It should be creating those relationships based on the devices serial that way, even if you need to reset it for whatever reason, it won't also push you by locking you out of a service you pay for

[Q] Marketplace problem

Hi All,
Just tried buying an app from the marketplace and got this message:
"Can't get this info right now, please try again later"
I just spent about an hour searching various forums, and there seems to be a real difference of opinion about what this message means. Some posters suggest that it indicates a problem at MS's end (i.e. they're doing maintenance, something is wrong with Windows Live etc), and so the best thing to do is sit tight. Others seem to think it is user problem, and you need to reset the phone, clear the history in IE, turn on/off cookies in IE, etc... Given I didn't change anything on my phone and this just started happening for no obvious reason, I'm inclined to think its an MS problem. Anyone else dealt with this? Advice would be helpful as I don't want to waste time trying all the suggested solutions online...
I have two devices (Trophy). One is OK, but the other the same that you. All are update with the february update...
Just spoke with Microsoft support and they weren't very helpful. Suggested it might be something to do with the IP address the phone is using (I'm currently in Canada, although my Windows Live / Zune account is in the US). That doesn't really make sense to me, as I have been using the phone in Canada since the Feb update with no problems - why should it suddenly have a problem with the IP address? Also, I can still use my Zune Pass...
Sorry my english. I uninstall all aplications with updates in marketplace in the device that not connect. But remains one: Xbox Live Extras. With this device I can't connect to Xbox live. ¿Can you connect to Xbox live? The another device that it's right connect without problems...
Today it works... This night made changes in the profile of XBox Live... But I dón't know if had been casuality...
I have the same problem with my hd7, in spain, since this afternoon i cant buy anything on the market place... xbox live works, zunepass works but no market i cant get nothing even free stuff does not work... any ideas?
Count me in on the Market app install problem. Been trying all day to install some apps and they won't. I get the same message as the OP.
quantum on att here. same problem off and on. i find that if i wait for a few seconds (as if to have the marketplace dumbware to finish loading), and then tap "install" it usually goes through. when it goes through, it says "purchasing" rather than showing only the dots.
Haven't had any problems since I did a hard reset and then "rebuilt" the phone with a Canadian Windows Live account. Can't access my Zune Pass on the phone anymore, of course...
Any chance the update did something to our phones? Has everyone posting here had the update?

Not mine. Still 7004
The same for me with 7004, 7008 and nodo update.
I test one thing : changing my windows live id wth another email adress
it works like a chrm
so th bug is due to the windows live account and not the market
grrrr, i loss all the programs i've been purchasing before!

The Market seems to be working now. Apps are now installing.
Can anyone else confirm that the problem has now resolved itself? I'm not all that eek to hard reset my phone again and go back to my original live account if it's not going to make a difference...
I just got this problem now! grr, hard reset for no reason, ffs!
Hard reset and set up with US-based account. All working perfectly again. I suspect this problem has something to do with our Live accounts at Microsoft's end. If it happen to me again, I think I'll just wait for things to (hopefully) resolve themselves.
I was having this issue for a week now and fixed it today about 5 hours ago actually. I was looking to see what I may have done recently to cause the issue and I had cookies disabled. Once I re-enabled it, everything worked again.
Well it Works for me again...

[Q] Help: Marketplace has lost my Nokia and Orange apps

I have had my Lumia 900 UK model for 2 days now (this is my 2nd handset) and have had the same problem appear on this one as I had on the 1st. I returned the first for a different problem though.
This issue is that the Nokia Collection and Orange Selection menus have disappeared from my Marketplace and I cannot install any of the Nokia App (ie CNN or EPSN) or Orange App which I could install when those options were there.
This started yesterday when I put a T-Mobile pre-pay/PAYG sim in the handset in an attempt to activate a 1-year free internet offer (different story altogether). When I put the Orange sim back, the marketplace no longer had the 'Orange Selection' available. The Nokia collection was still there.
So, last night I though I'd try a phone reset and see if that fixed it. It was a 1 day old phone so I was only really wiping 5 text messages. However, after the reset I lost the Nokia apps from the marketplace too. I reset again and still no change. I've used the ReInstaller app to get everything back on my phone, BUT any of the Nokia or Orange apps refuse to install, with the 'this app is not for your handset' message displayed on the marketplace page for the app.
So, I'm hoping this has been a regular problem for which the XDA collective have a solution for. Please help.
I'll post the same on the Lumia 800 forum and that device has been here in UK for months and may have more readers, but any help from 900 owners is hugely appreciated.
Thanks,
DC
This is happening to a few people. I think it has to do with the backend changes on the server going on by both Microsoft and Nokia. My girl lost her Nokia apps for about 2 weeks before they randomly reappeared. Over on the WPCentral forums somebody posted a fix, though I never tried it. They said to go into the XBLive hub, go into the marketplace from there, browse around, go back out, and it supposedly fixes it. I've never tried and you can go over there to see if I missed any steps.
Embarrasingly, a simple sync with my PC and Zune has fixed this.
Thanks.

something to keep in mind. The marketplace is divided into multiple parts. No, I'm not talking about apps, games, music. I'm talking about storefronts. You have a few...first, the windows phone marketplace...the base model. Then you have the oem model...for the nokia's and samsungs of the world. Then the carrier marketplace, for the oranges and ATT's of the world. Not every oem or carrier has a storefront.
My guess is the swapping of seems impacted the activation sequence, disrupting the population of the acceptable combinations of marketplaces.
Many people have noticed the lumia seems to have many situations where response appears slightly delayed. Activation is one of them. Most likely the correct combination of marketplaces would have appeared anywhere from a few hours, to a few days, as mentioned above. When connecting to the PC and Zune, you simply synced with hard wired drivers that reached to the low level bootloaders to recognize the who and what of the device. This is the same sequence used when checking for updates. Eventually it would have occurred at the ota level too...during whatever the WP recheck sequence currently is.

[Q] unable to load marketplace after market select

i seem to have a little problem.
after selecting a different marketplace and region, rebooted as instructed. i went to download some stuff only to find that the marketplace will not load.
the screen says.....loading then back flips back to menu.
tried restoring with back-up for both (Restore OEM and Restore MO) but still nothing.
marketplace will not load.
also cannot open xbox games... starts by saying loading then flips back to menu
tried soft reset but still nothing
currently running mi7Rom WP7.8 Edition Nokia Mod v2 on omnia7
any help would be appreciated
p.s when i look online at my phone details it comes up as samsung cetus!!!
i would rather not load the rom again if i can find a solution
I had this its todo with changing OEM AND MO device details the problem is it gets all screwed up when certs get synced, changing back the reg settings doesn't work, there are literally 100s of XML files that also contain various stings, I thin the problem lies in them. I for it working but in the absence of time, formatting was the best solution
Sent from my Lumia 900 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
thanks for the reply. i was hoping not to have to reformat quite yet.... ball ache.
probably wait for an official/unofficial 7.8
Yeah, some of the marketplace hacks use a known-to-be-harmful hack. The reputable ones shouldn't - this issue was discovered well over a year ago - but to some people the allure of being able to run Nokia apps on their non-Nokia phones is too great. Installing the apps can be done without this hack (which is to change the OEM and phone info in the DeviceTargetingInfo registry key), but running them often cannot.
The only known solution is to hard-reset, or to restore a full phone backup that was taken prior to using the hack.
tbh GoodDayToDie i chose what i thought was a reputable app to do this from.
i used market select by sh4d0w86. oh well, you live and learn.
i wasn't trying to get nokia apps >.< the app i wanted was iheartradio which has never been available in my region.
i will be reformatting soon. let this be a lesson to me
GDTD, yeah ive never used the apps and applied the modifications myself, I suspect its actually to do with the Mobile operator settings, and not exclusively the device or OEM settings, ive been fiddling with the others in an attempt to recreate the problem, it appears random but that Mobile operator reg entry, so far, appears to expedite the problems.

In first wave only few windowsphones will get win 10 tehnical preview. You can see list of supported devices here: List of devices will be increased with every new updates.
Also, I used HTC 8s and i'm really not sure if that device will get the win 10, just because HTC made it. HTC threat his costumers really bad. Wait some times when Microsoft release more updates for technical preview and maybe one day 8s will be on the list.
Remember when HTC didn't release the "OEM Drivers" and we couldn't get the 8.1 Update 1, Cortana, etc? Now we all have the Win8.1U1 or 8.1GDR1 whatever you want to call it. You just have to wait until MS finds a way around those OEM drivers and send the preview world wide to every device.
For now the list of devices getting W10 is very small... and it's not worth yet... Wait at least 1-2 service packs to get the real deal.
For example, for W8.1U1 on my HTC 8s here are the ONLY problems I think they are quite important:
Camera quality, the shoting seems laggy, the quality is bad. This was not a problem in W8 (stock) where the quality was good, even with pictures taken @ night with flash.
The market apps gives errors if set to install on SD card instead of overriding the setting (with a warning at least). Some of the apps, which are designed by the dev to be installed ONLY on internal memory, if they are set to install on SD they will end up in an MS specific error code. If you lookup the code on Google you MIGHT find the solution, or you might not (for example, for PROShot, after an update we ended up having the error code, and it took us 2-3 days to find a solution).
IE Security flaw. IE remembers passwords? Yes, but passwords are hidden under "*". If you select the * and press the SEARCH button, the password will appear in the search field.
You can't edit the dialed number without deleting the whole number.
That's it. Those are the bugs that needs fixing. But leaving those aside, the 8s is running great, doing whatever I need, whenever I need!
