Where can I gong some apks? Looking for the market and gmail first. I am also wondering how I check my radio version to see if I have the latest? Thx

Those APKs are all packaged into the Google Apps zip file, mostly referred to as GApps. You can find the latest one (as of this writing) here
You'll need to go back into your recovery menu and manually flash the zip file. I recommend wiping the cache, re-flashing your ROM, and then flashing GApps all in the same recovery session.
Is there a way to just install certain apks from the zip or do I install all and remove the ones I don't want? If I need to remove them what do I use? Thanks again

No Problem. Good luck bro. You are a braver man than me to try this. I have thought about making my own Rom because every one I try I like some things but not everything. I would be cool to combine features or implement features from other Rom's and take out the things you don't like and have one happy Rom that you created and use designed especially for you! Anyway, let me know the results and how difficult it is and maybe I'll give it a shot.
Alternatively, you can use apps like System App Remover to remove apps though you would have to remove each app individually...
or you could just open the zip file with any zip application and remove the files you want and then flash
ZIP
after unzipping and removing apps does the zip need to be signed before flashing or will it be ok ?

download Regaw's zip signer if you are unsure
just open the zip file in winrar, then delete the apks you dont wont. No need to resign. NOTICE I DID NOT SAY UNZIP the file.
I installed a new rom (SkyRaider 3.5) and my market seems to be missing.
Is there an apk or other download I can install to get it back?
Thank you.
Check the themes and apps forum, should be themed ones there you can install I believe. Don't know about a stock one though. Nothing different between the 2 other then color.

U must reflash the whole Rom, wiping cache
Otherwise it won't install, u can't just install the market
Make sure vending.apk is within the Rom zip before u flash

Once I install a ROM, is it safe to remove it's original zip file? Does out still depend on it, our have all the files been installed safely somewhere else?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Yes, it is safe to remove the original zip file(s).
The active ROM itself (the one currently running) doesn't use the zip file any longer once it's flashed/installed.
Optional:
Make sure you have backups of the ROMs you have flashed prior to removing their original zips, else you will have to d/l and set them up again.
oh my god///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Smtom: thanks for the tip, I just wanted to make sure before I went ahead and started deleting all sorts of things. I appreciate the help.
Manh: you just have an orgasm over there? You gonna be ok?

Hey, is there a repository or anything for .zips for me to add on to CM7? Such as; i downloaded an LG widgets .zip to flash (didn't work by the way) with clockwork, but i mean that kind of thing. Even if there isn't a repository is there any you'd recommend me add on?
Thanks!
Damn...zips or apks? Someone mentioned how to add apps to the rom zip so they would be system apps or part of the rom. I remember it being easy sounding but forgot. Glad you asked before I did.

zips, you install them using recovery like any other rom, and it becomes part of the rom, like when you install CM7 it asks if you want an add on with all the google apps in it with your rom, (talk, youtube etc..)
That's not what I'm talking about as that is pretty obvious. Say you had 30 apks you wanted as part of the roms build. There is a place in the rom zip they can go before you flash the rom. That way don't have to make a ton of zips or build 1 large flashable.zip unless you just enjoy doing everything the hard way

If you open the zip file, and go to System > App, you can copy the apk's in there and they will install when you flash the rom.
You may need to re-sign the zip though, or toggle signature verification in clockwork mod.

I switched ROMs from AOKP to AOSPTW or whatever its called. YouTube in the market said it couldn't update because the file was signed incorrectly or something. I uninstalled YouTube using titanium backup and now Google play says "incompatible update" or something. When I try to restore my backup it keeps going and never restores. Any help in getting YouTube back without having to flash anything, or reflash anything?
Use a file browser, open up the ROM zip, navigate thru the files until you get to the system/apps, copy the you tube all and paste it into your system/apps. Make sure you fix the permissions. Reboot and you'll have it back. It was purposely signed the way it was to make it work with the ROM. If you read his thread he explains it several times. Or, you can reflash the ROM wiping only dalvic and cache.
