Sorry, newbie question:
I'm not sure about the phone functionality once Rhobuntu is running. But that is all it is about. What is the use of Rhobuntu if it cannot perform what a phone has been built for:
Great thanks for updating the Wiki which now shows the status of the different functions.
You should probably search that thread & keep questions in that thread instead of starting a new one...
Phone works, just hit the 'start call' button. You should be able to receive calls as well, but it seems sound is only partial... So calls may not work entirely then.
Read the Rhodbuntu Wiki and post in the rhodbuntu thread.

Hi
at the beginning I want to thank everyone for such great site and their contributions, specially to user jasjamming his Windows Mobile VI Pro - Black 3.0.1 of which I am proud user .
I have got these "problems":
- any time I want open any message (SMS, MMS, Mail) it's opened at the bottom . It's independent on the method of opening (by keys or stick)
- may be it properties of WM6, I don't know, but when I would like by key TAB switch from address line (TO, CC etc.) to message during writting new message (SMS, MMS mail etc), doesn't work. It just SHOW me bottom of message, but cursor stay at the same place. But from Subject to address line, it's working.
It is not anything very important to make HARD reset or reinstall ROM, I was just interested, if there is some setting in registers which was changed by some application or something else.
May be someone of you have similar experience.
Thank you for any response.
how about you search the thread that has all the info you need i know its long but you might learn something and fix your issues instead of us spoon feeding you
I think I read once that if you go to HTcustom, which should be on your device or it might me called pimp my black, you will need to deselect the "Navigate with D-pads" under pocket IE. I think that will stop your messages from opening at the bottoming.
Hi,
sorry for this new thread but finally the problem was with D-PAD settings. Thank you very much
thanks for the feed back this helped me also.

Is that how you became a senior member? By posting over 400 insults to noobs?
It's a forum to discuss stuff, no matter how many times it's been uttered to others... how many times has someone asked you 'hey how are you?' Do you reply 'someone else asked me that already, go away and find out the answer from them!'?
Politeness goes a long way... and it's only easy if you know the answer
I could not find any threads about PocketCM, although that seems very strange to me so I must be missing them.
Until then, here are my few questions:
1. Can i add, or is there a version with, an x button in it? I can't close the app without taskmanager.
2. When writing a text, even if i have the keyboard out, the SIP automatically pops up when i start writing. Can i disable this?
Thanks.
I noticed pocketcm threads at development and hacking...maybe some luck there:

You should also try his website at www.pocketcm.com. As for the x-button, the latest version has it, and in that version you can also select "No SIP" which will solve your second problem.

Awesome thanks for the quick help guys.
Haha i knew there was a thread somewhere.
Better get my eyesight checked
There is a lot of speculation and conflicting reports of how voice-to-text was implemented on the Desire. After reading every thread related to v2t, Im still totally confused
If you already have a handset, could you please tell us what the real story is with voice-to-text? No speculation, rumours etc please! If you are lucky enough to already have one, please help by answering these 2 questions?
1) Is voice-to-text available as a 'general' text input (in place of the on-screen keyboard)? I know there is a thread on how to enable it using an alternative keyboard but that's not what Im asking.
2) Is it available on all versions (unlocked, T-Mobile, Orange??)
To assist with getting a definitive answer to the second question, please include the carrier/store you bought your handset from.
Thanks in advance for your help!!
initially i thought this thread was about how good voice to text was, but then read your post. So i'll comment on both.
I got my desire direct from t mobile, and voice to text was not a function i could find. It wasn't until i downloaded the keyboard app referenced in other posts, and then switched to android keyboard instead of the stock htc keyboard, that i could find and use speech to text. I presume that the speech to text button was always present on the android keyboard and the extra keyboard app only activated the function which wasn't working before. However, as i only found out how to activate the android keyboard after i downloaded the extra keyboard app, I can't be too sure.
I can only issume that it would be the same for the generic ROM and other network ROM users. But from hearing about the people who have received the OTA update it seems that speech to text function may be changing or being disabled. I definitely hope not, though.
I used speech to text for half of this message. It seems to be working really well for me, despite what a lot of other people are saying. It's definitely not perfect, but i can see it as a function i will use often. I look forward to it getting better, and hope it will stay on the desire.
Three things ive noticed since updating to the new Tilt 2 official Rom. Every time the device starts up, the "Backlight and Power" SETTINGS screen loads, as i said, every time the device starts up. Its pointless, undesired, annoying, and has done that from the start.
*(2) On the SMS tab of the new "HTC SENSE" (newer version of touchflo pretty much) whenever you get a new SMS and go over to the SMS tab, the newest message isnt ever at the top of the list (waiting for you right in front of your face) on the previous official ROM the newest SMS was always placed/focused right at top of the list for you to see instantly. Not the case with this new ROM, you have to scroll through your old messages, to the very top to read the new SMS, instead of it being right there.
*(3) Why the heck did they get rid of the task manager in the upper right corner next to the clock? Are you kidding? That was just too easy to terminate programs, and switch focus to them if youd like. They got rid of it!? Ridiculous.
Tweaks of any kind are welcome and appreciated, im sure by a few people. I am an advanced user so i would understand. If anyone else thinks of gripes with the new ROM please post here!

Try this. i have not tried it yet so i cant tell you if it works but people have said it works on tp2 w/ sense!
Thank you, i will definitely check that out. i appreciate the helpful input, instead of being told where and how to post like a lot of other people seem to like to do. I sincerely appreciate your time and efforts. Looks like a good suggestion by just checking out the screenshots.
There's already several threads going regarding this ROM in the ROM Development forum (where this belonged and has been moved to). Had you taken a moment to look you could have found them and posted your drivel in one of them instead of having yet another thread on the same subject scattered around the forums. Your Task Manager gripe is among the most well-known and easiest to fix as a cab is posted in those other threads for it. Forums have certain etiquette that members are expected to abide by and not searching and starting superfluous threads will make others call you out on it. I was not rude to you in any way.
not sure why you posted the same question.
in two different sub-forums.

...doesnt matter why.
just didnt want to post my response twice.
so. gave a linky to my post on his other post.
I recently installed TWRP, Magisk Root & Lineage Os16 on my Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950F Exynos. Everything works like a dream, except for Bluetooth Phone calls in my car. The phone pairs with the car ok and the system dials the number ok, but there is no audio, just crackling noises. Is this a known issue and is there a fix. Actual firmware is: lineage_dreamlte-userdebug_9_PQ2A190305002
Maybe you should post there

Being new to the site, I'm not sure how to do that.

Bull****! You just posted here.
Just for the record, it wasn't bull****. This is my first time on the site and by pure chance I stumbled across a button labelled "New Post", which enabled me to raise my query. After following your suggested link to a more appropriate forum, I could not see any obvious way to raise a new post. But thank you anyway for your extreme patience and willingness to help a new member.
context is everything

Aloha, the site above is already a post. All you need to do is click on reply to a comment and add to the thread by adding another comment. Hopefully you find somebody already talking about or a related problem or what is hopefully pertinent to the question you have. If not just click reply to the first post in the thread and either way post your question as the Title with details etc. in the body.
The main reason you were pointed to that particular post is somebody has a build of your OS for your particular device. It is not my device but I might find something there as well since I am looking for a similar topic. My HTC One M9 connects and makes calls perfectly, but won't play music from phone. The vehicle says "Bluetooth Device Locked" every time I punch the media button to avoid commercials on the radio.
