One of my friends used to have an app for his Palm Pre called LOLBox. It would scrape sites like bash.org, FML, Failblog, etc... Has anyone come across a decent alternative? The only thing I've found was an I Can Haz Cheeseburger app...

Is there an app that would allow you to do basic video editing on the Evo. Such as cropping or cutting portions off a video?
Hmmm interesting, I'd like to know also, that would be awesome

been trying to get something going all week. So far it looks like the youtube cloud editor is the best we have.
Apple has us owned on this one. The video editing on the iphone4 is the shizzzz
I pray for something like that soon. I despise apple their overly simplisticness
Man hopefully someone knows. I don't want to have to upload to my pc.
Not only apple but also palm, my wifes' pre has the ability to trim the video. I would love to have that ability and I thought the droid x might come with one but I haven't seen it posted anywhere.

I can actually agree in that one, the video edit system on their phones are really good. Android/Google need to get their heads thinking and use the iPhone for some ideas like this video editor and then make an even better one. But imma take a look at that app

Bump for answers.

I thought about doing something like this but I have no idea where to start or even how to accomplish it.
Giving another bump. Still nothing. And I can't even find that YouTube cloud app that was mentioned.

Yea I kinda gave up LOL.
Bumpity bump!
Wasn't htcsense.com supposed to work for the DINC2 after we received the Gingerbread OTA update?
If so, it's not working for me...any ideas?
So I guess that's a no? I've looked, looked, and looked some more and can't find a way to make HTC sense.com work on the DINC2.
Any ideas/solutions would be helpful.
Thanks!

I think I read somewhere or saw in a video review from phonedog.com that Verizon had that option removed, so you can't download more skins, etc.

Yeah I saw the same one. Sounds exactly like Verizon. There should be someway to get it all working though.

I am going to get one of these to make using the forums easier from my phone. Anyone have any suggestions on one versus the other? I know a lot of you use XDA Premium, but I'm just looking for a comparison of these two. Am I missing anything major by going with, say Forum Runner? (just picked the cheaper one)
Just go with tapatalk. I've loved it since I paid for it. Bought it for my iPhone when I had that too
dropped from LiquidNexus via TapaTalk
Love tapatalk, supports whole range of forums, very easy to use and light weight..to be honest haven't seen many use forum runner
Only thing I noticed is tapatalk can only upload pic files, but dev says will consider for future releases

I just switched from XDA premium to tapatalk. I have been pretty happy so far.

I'm just using the XDA app (which is similar to tapatalk?). Seems to work well enough. Don't use it a whole bunch though.

Seems Forum Runner is also recommended. Don't use it my self. But a few mods are using it and they prefer it above xda premium and Tapatalk.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying the free version of Forum Runner before making a decision and I gotta say that it is pretty nice. Granted I'm just comparing it to the standard forum app, but it is very nice. So far it has all the forums I have interest in, so that is a wash. I'll give it a few days, make a choice then. Stinks that there isn't a free version of Tap...it'd be better than the 15 minute return window.
Now before I risk geting slammed for asking this... I have never used Siri or anything like it but keep seeing it advertised everywhere. Now coming from an iPhone 4 without Siri to Android, which I must say feels like a good move. I was wondering if there is something similar/the same/or better than Siri?
I'm sure there must be something... I am just fed up of my iPhone mates saying well you don't have Siri which is something that is brilliant. Now I don't know if it is brilliant but it would be good to say "Hmmm actually Android does have... which is... etc..."
Thanks
You can check Iris in Google play, still in alpha stage but some users said it's already usable. Haven't tried it myself though.

This statement is very true. It's almost like they get brainwashed. It's pathetic even. But here's what u can tell ur friends "no I don't have siri but what I do have is 'voice search'. It's a google app that was developed back in the days of Froyo and it does all the same that siri does so way to go apple for FINALLY catching up to Android!"

Google voice search/actions works great for me. It's not advertised at all and I don't think many people understand the depth of it.

WOW theres more options than I thought there would be. Will have to find time to try them all now
Just thought I would share this with you all as I tried 4 alternatives to Siri.
Couple of simple questions:
"Who is Manchester United's Top Scorer?"
The responses:
Iris: I wouldn't worry myself with that & What is your favourite movie.
Evi: Gave me a link to Man Utd Statistics website.
Jeannie: Christiano Ronaldo
"Who won the FA Cup in 2009?"
The Responses:
Iris: I wouldn't worry myself with that,
Evi: Gave me a link to wikipedia website.
Jeannie: Read some random crap that made no sense.
Sooo they were all useless. I decided to try the in-bult Google Search.
"Who is Manchester United's Top Scorer".
The response: First link in the search listed top scorers Bobby Charlton being top.
Next Questions: Who won the FA Cup in 2009.
The Response: Top link showed Chelsea won the match
Now although the Google one does have to open the browser to display the results which isn't as great looking at it being in-built in to the app at least it understood the question and actually provided the correct answers...
I would follow this thread until it becomes beta...

How about SpeakToIt Assistant? I don't use it much but that, combined with the IVONA text-to-speech voices is pretty decent. Updated fairly regularly too.
And also omega

Guys,
Anybody know of a good WYSIWYG app builder for somebody with limited programing knowledge, preferably offline. Bit like Dreamweaver for websites?
Come across iappbuild but it's online.
Eclipse has a graphic design interface for Android apps although you are better off expanding your limited knowledge.
It's tough to find time to become a good app developer when you spend most of your time doing other things that happen to create app ideas. A canned app builder would be nice for at least a proof of concept.
I often wished there was something slick like that. I came up dry in my previous searches. I recall some questionable character named Amish Shah, who sounded like a huckster, promised everything, and yet said nothing. Buyer beware.
There's that MIT app builder. I think it's **** and would prefer Eclipse, but for proof of concept it just might work.
MIT took over Google's "anyone can make an app" project and expanded it a bit... there's a learning curve, no doubt.

Thanks guys, will have a look at eclipse and the mit

I thought the Google App builder was taken in by MIT. It wasn't bad. I used it to make an app the texted my husband that I was leaving for home whenever I launched it. (Yeah, I'm that lazy.) If I were to update it, I'd just put an NFC tag on my desk. (Yeah, I'm that lazy.)

Edit: I just saw that Jimmy posted more about it. It isn't the best editor in the world but for super simple apps, it's OK.
Illumination softtware creator....used to be free and you can export your work to eclipse.
