Tapatalk or Forum Runner? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I am going to get one of these to make using the forums easier from my phone. Anyone have any suggestions on one versus the other? I know a lot of you use XDA Premium, but I'm just looking for a comparison of these two. Am I missing anything major by going with, say Forum Runner? (just picked the cheaper one)

Just go with tapatalk. I've loved it since I paid for it. Bought it for my iPhone when I had that too
dropped from LiquidNexus via TapaTalk

Love tapatalk, supports whole range of forums, very easy to use and light weight..to be honest haven't seen many use forum runner
Only thing I noticed is tapatalk can only upload pic files, but dev says will consider for future releases

I just switched from XDA premium to tapatalk. I have been pretty happy so far.

I'm just using the XDA app (which is similar to tapatalk?). Seems to work well enough. Don't use it a whole bunch though.

Seems Forum Runner is also recommended. Don't use it my self. But a few mods are using it and they prefer it above xda premium and Tapatalk.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying the free version of Forum Runner before making a decision and I gotta say that it is pretty nice. Granted I'm just comparing it to the standard forum app, but it is very nice. So far it has all the forums I have interest in, so that is a wash. I'll give it a few days, make a choice then. Stinks that there isn't a free version of Tap...it'd be better than the 15 minute return window.

Demos, just not labled as such.
One of the top phones on the market.
Super fast. Also, I think its slimmer than the other GS 2s.

You own an HTC phone. Simple answer, a Motorola v60 is a better device. Buy this phone. I refuse to even look and see what else is coming out anymore. I'm that satisfied with it and I buy new phones every 2-3 months. I got this right around release time and haven't looked back.

Once you go Nexus,
you'll never go back-us.
No really though, welcome!! and start doing your reading so people dont jump on you for asking questions that are easy to figure out just by doing some reading, and the liberal use of the search function here and on Google
Today was also my first day with the GNex. It arrived from the Play Store and I am so ready to swap out my Evo 3D and Sprint's disappointing data speeds. I am waiting for my T-Mobile sim card to arrive (ordered it on Sunday). My contract ends at the end of the month. I was able to get it rooted this afternoon and I must say that was the easiest rootkit I've ever seen. Absolutely amazing the work you guys have done. I look forward to flashing ROMs on this thing and making it even more awesome.

Sg3 vs Sgs4

It's the sgs4 that much better to our sgs3. I'd like to hear some opinions?

Not enough to drop big bucks when you can just upgrade when the s5 rolls around. The s3 is still a beast of a phone with plenty to offer, even more so now with multiwindow, so I would just stick with it. At least that is what I am going to do

Maybe it would be more suitable posting in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192611
Plus, if you search around xda there are tons of topics on gs3 vs gs4.

Everything this guy said. I'm happy with my s3. Plus I just got into the rooting scene a month and half ago.
Yeah, I'll wait for the S5.

I think it is worth upgrading, at least for me personally, since I had the s3 & my upgrade since Dec.1080HD 5" display, 13mp camera (for family pics), bigger stock battery, 4.2.2 out of the box & more. Besides, the google edition is around the corner so you can always grab that. Or the Note 3 when it comes out.
The point is, there's always something better. The important thing is for you to be happy with your choice.
There is a sticky for this discussion

Giving away gnex

Hey guys.
Recently my beloved nexus' radios decided to quit working. I've tried everything to get them back but the harsh reality is that they just don't work anymore. I made a thread in the Q&A section to no avail.
Decided to go with the GS4 so I have an unused somewhat defective, and clearly used phone that is just sitting on my desk. When I went from my incredible to the gnex, I gave my incredible to one of the awesome devs that made that phone so much better. I'm thinking of doing it again because you guys are so great.
So if you are a dev, contact me and I'll so my best to give it to someone who can truly use it. Whether it be for parts or as a test flashing device, etc.
I can ship the phone free of charge through amazon since I work there so there really is no hassle involved.
Just to be clear, the radios (as far as I can tell) don't work, the charging port is a bit loose and sometimes hard to charge, and there are a few scratches on the screen and around the bezel. Other than that everything works. So perfect for a test device for your future roms.
I really want someone to USE the device and not just turn around and sell it, although I would be none the wiser. So let me know if you NEED it.
Thank you to this community (most of you ) and to all the hard working developers that got me thru the last few years. It's been fun.

I also have an extended battery that I can give to someone as well.
And this is a Verizon model, if that matters.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
Well I have one already.
Although, it's the sprint variant.
You see, I don't make that much money, and I got this for christmas, sure it's great, but since it's limited to CDMA, I cannot be flexible with it at all.
It really does suck, I've been wanting to sell it and replace it with a GSM Galaxy Nexus, but no one will buy it, everyone already moved on to wanting the galaxy S4 or something similar.
So I definitely don't NEED it, but it would save me some money with me being able to change to Straight talk.
About the broken radios, I can try and repair it, buy a new charging port, buy a new antenna, etc etc, it'd be a fun project. I've already started some development for myself for the toroplus, and the GSM Galaxy nexus would allow me to fully mess with a semi working Ubuntu Touch OS.
And, if it wasn't given to me, which it probably won't, I actually have a cheap 12 dollar otterbox like case for the GSM Galaxy Nexus, I messed up on the order and got that instead of one for my model.

One like this, that I can ship out to whoever you wants it the most.
I need it bro PM me
For devment.

Friend of mine really wants to start developing for phones. And I told him a nexus phone would be the best. But he doesn't really have the money to buy one and neither do I. So he could really use it and he did some development for his old tablet and as far as I can see he's quite good at it. So I think he would be a real good person to have here on the forums.

I guess I should of been more specific on who I want to give the phone too.
It would help if you already had a thread in the developers section.
Like I said, I don't want to give this to someone just to have them sell it so the only insurance I have is making sure you are already a developer of some sort.

What is that? I'm not trying to give it away to just anybody. I'd like to help a developer out by giving it to him. Otherwise I'd rather just keep it or sell it.

I owned one at release before returning it a week later and recently for 3 months before switching to an HTC One. I already kinda answered a very similar question in another thread that explains why I switched, so check it out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49656187&postcount=6
Let me know if you have any other questions.
I switched and like it better, wish I would have waited for the note 3 though.

Oh I guess I didn't mention battery life. It's actually quite good on this phone, and is actually better at lasting the day than my S4 used to be which was a pretty big surprise. I have no trouble getting through the whole day on moderate to heavy usage.
Had an S4 for four days... It just felt so cheap and the pictures weren't much better than my Rezound. I didn't like it's cheesy UI. It seemed like a kids toy. I even had it rooted but I just didn't like it. It felt too big in my hand... Etc.... The first five minutes I used the HTC One I knew it was the right phone. I didn't even care that the camera wasn't as good... It just feels so much better. It's just as fast and the UI was designed for adults!
And I agree on the battery life. Stellar. I am using the Rezound while HTC replaces my camera and it is killing me how fast it dies... The One just kept going and going...
