Hi all
I´m writing an article about the XDA history and wanted to ilustrate it with an old XDA picture, I remember there was a picture somewhere where the original headquarters of XDA was shown but I can´t seem to find it.
Any other old picture you have saved please let me know!!
Thanks in advance

Cool guys thanks
It just needs someone with compiling knowledge
I have not got around to trying it, but i may get time later tonight...
The first thing is to see if the kernel is different between the g2 and the z, if not, we can pretty much use everything that the g2 is using... I think there will be minor differences though, but just speculating at the moment

I've just seen this thread. I've just posted the recompiled module on
forum .xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9040970
gosh it's annoying that XDA won't allow me to post URLs. You'll need to cut and paste and remove the nasty space.

Kernel works great. Running at 1.4 Ghz for a couple hours. Man it's fast.
Wouldn't this be better in the dev forum ?
Not trying to be smart, just sayin' that it would be nice to have some actual dev topics in the DZ dev forum !

I also have an Optimus One.
Welcome everyone, I am looking forward to posting to the site here shortly.
Hi!
I have developed an free app. And of course I want to tell the world about it. I used the "Paid Software Announcement and Discussion", but I didn't read one of the "Read this" messages about it only being for those that have contributed and been on this forum for a while. So it got (rightly) deleted. However, I wounder where I as i "noob" can post this sort of things?
Thanks for your time.
You can post it in the Android Apps and Games forum
Thanks, I posted it there

Thanks ;P Otherwise I would think more than twice before posting it at this forum!
Today after reading the XDA portal, like I always do in the morning after checking my emails.
Something came to my mind, asking me where you will be if you didn’t know about XDA & XDA great Forum members.
After remembering all the hassles I went thru, the problems that I was able to fix, the time that I had saved, and the new experience I gained, By following XDA members Guides, Posts, and News, I decided to go back in my memory to remember:
(every post that had benefit from, any guide that I had followed and didn’t press the thanks button because I was in a hurry or I was so happy to have my problem fixed, any good article that I had read before and gave me a new information, or any XDA TV video that I liked……….etc….., anything that helped me with my XDA experience)
And push the thanks button for that.
In order to keep the good work, and encourage all the good aims, I am inviting you and everybody to spend 5 minutes from your time, and thank those members that you forget to thank.
Thanx XDA.

Sounds good to me, I am going to go back to the start hunt down the devs for the HTC Magic and thank those bad boys... and thanks those that helped me before the thank button was even there...might take more than 5 minutes mind you xD
I just open those posts I would like to thank in a new browser tab and do it when I wake up the next morning.
There is no thanks button for XDA TV videos also.
I think it would be a nice idea to add that, because there is no difference between a usefull post and a usefull video.
Do you agree with me?

That is actually a good idea. I might do that myself too.
This is saying that I'm limited to 8 thanks per day. That's just odd.
You can "thank" more with the XDA or Tapatalk app even if you've run out on your browser.

blasphemy!!
THANKS !!!!
Thanks a lot XDA !!!
I tried the XDA app again, and it's a piece of crap compared to the 2010 theme, and much, much worse than the 2013 theme. I only find it better than the classic theme.

Sorry to bump, but anyone?
Picking up my Desire HD tomorrow.
If not Oxylite then can anyone recommend another alternative? I am trading in my HTC Desire with Oxygen (Gingerbread, pretty barebones) which I absolutely love as a day-to-day ROM. Something like that for the Desire HD would be awesome.
Thanks

I'm using hydrogenmod right now. CM7 and MIUI are all very very light, you really don't need to have anything lighter for your phone to run as best as possible under any scenarios.
Although I'd gladly take an oxylite ROM. If anyone has the zip please upload

Thanks to forum regular "ffroms", I have uploaded the latest stable version of OXY-LITE...
Link was here but I'm prevented from posting links due to the forum rules. Maybe there is a good reason but these draconian rules and that damn captcha make using these forums less pleasant. (I know I should blame those spammer scum for the captcha thing.)
Anyway, contact me via PM if you want the link and/or some other established forumite can post the link on my behalf.
Code:
$ md5sum OXYLITE_v3_GAPPS.zip
