Cool guys thanks
It just needs someone with compiling knowledge
I have not got around to trying it, but i may get time later tonight...
The first thing is to see if the kernel is different between the g2 and the z, if not, we can pretty much use everything that the g2 is using... I think there will be minor differences though, but just speculating at the moment

I've just seen this thread. I've just posted the recompiled module on
forum .xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9040970
gosh it's annoying that XDA won't allow me to post URLs. You'll need to cut and paste and remove the nasty space.

Kernel works great. Running at 1.4 Ghz for a couple hours. Man it's fast.
Wouldn't this be better in the dev forum ?
Not trying to be smart, just sayin' that it would be nice to have some actual dev topics in the DZ dev forum !

Hi there!
My Problem is that I can not see the Thank-Button. I know it disappears when I've made 5 "thanks" one a day, but until now I haven't made one.
Ich would really like to thank Darky for his great ROM.
Greets from Austria
Laurenz
Edit: I'm using Chromium ( the open source version of Google Chrome) under Ubuntu (Linux)
Make sure you are using the XDA 2010 template. Also, you won't get a Thanks button until you've made 1 post.
On addition this above info you have only 5 thanks per day
I'm glad that I finally found this post-- I have been lurking, and really wondered why everyone but me could see the Thank button
(The Emperor's New Button?)
with the new forum changes, I better stop lurking, as I am mostly in the development sections and wont be able to post there until after 10 posts. :-(

You would be fine anyway as you registered before the change was made.
The thank you and no thank you, it does not look like like like like on facebook and I like it.

Well, that explains that. I'll just make my first post here, so I can start thanking those who have helped me...including you.
but, does the Thank button go away after x days?
I wanted to thank lopez1_de for TouchWatch2, but the thread started in 2009 and the only posts with thank buttons are the two most recent from Oct 2010 by other members, not lopez1_de.
So does the button go away on old posts or am I missing something? I'm using the current version of Firefox, and haven't got a clue whether I'm using the XDA 2010 template, what it is or where to find it.

I've noticed this. I assume that the thanks button is only there for posts made since it became available.
Ah! That hadn't even occurred to me. (Comes from being a relative newbie.)
Thanks, johncmolyneux.
I need to track down an explanation of the Thanks button. There must have been one posted when it was started.
I believe you can only thank posts in the last 90 days
Glad I found this thread. First post here, in search of the "thanks" button.

And add me to the list! Since I can't thank anyone until I've made one post, thanks for posting this thread with the answer to my question about the lack of a thank button.

I have the same problem, I don't want to end up writing useless drivel to get my post count up (like now) just so I can ask a sensible question about a problem I am having installing potatomans camera upgrade.
Is there any other way round it?

No there is no way around it. And if it is a question that needs to be asked. The Q&A forums are the place to ask and you canboost there without the limit. Development is not for asking questions

Because you failed to read the message that appeared on your screen in bold print.
Anyone else just ignore error messages rather than reading them?

You shouldn't be asking a simple question like that in development. Ask in Q&A
I got the same problem!
Just like me, but its the forum rules, so we need stick whit it weather we want to or not.
P.S. My written english may have some bugs, its all about what I meant to say and thats hopefully allways clear.

It takes upto an hour for it to be processed
Why 1 hour? Make it less
because if you're really planning on contributing you wouldn't mind that 1 hour
I had been on these forums reading for days, then I actually needed something done and tried to post... and was rebuffed!

Same here. I've been using this Web site for like a year or more. Had just got a password and screen name, feeling like I had gained enough knowledge to contribute to my favourite ROM thread, typed this long post, put alot of thought into it, hit submit, and got dissed. I'm not mad, just wish I would have known weeks ago.

What if you needed to say something before it was too late? Like "don't flash that, I did and it bricked my phone" or something. Just saying.

Hi guys, I was just curious which ROMs have multi windows. Thanks!!
There is an Xposed module that can do it on rooted stock 4.4.4. I tried it out once but most of the apps I wanted to use crashed in it. It seemed to work OK with Chrome on top and Facebook on the bottom, which is what I used it for the most, but uninstalled it after a few days because it just didn't work as well as I wanted.
Any ROMs? Anyone?! This forum is pretty lame, huh?

Why not just look over in development and read the OPs of the ROM threads and figure it out for yourself?

Just for future reference, this thread is a great example of how NOT to behave and ask for help....
This thread is useless now, since XDA brought back editing. Thank you anyways.
To clarify yes, this is a repost. This is made because I can't edit messages, and that's a pain as I use it to post new releases.
New releases will be posted here exclusively (and obviously GitHub).
