Desire SlideIT keyboard problem - Desire General

Hello all.
I've have a problem whit the SlideIT keyboard in some applications.
When I want to send text, it just adds spaces. I've recorded a video that shows the problem.
It's two irc programs I've had the problem whit. I don't remember the name of the first one I tested, but the one in the video is Android IRC.
It's an amazing keyboard when it works, and it works often, just this two programs...

Cab file has been switched to the new one
Did not see anyone working on this in this forum (seems focused in ELF) but the keyboard does work on other devices thought I would post it over here (would be a great addition to the ROMS

will test it out. thanks
edit* doesn't work on my 8525. Just black blank square shows up and no response at all.
Thanks for sharing!
It works just fine on my 8525, except the Symbol Keyboard, which is blank. Hopefully this glitch is solved soon.
Would someone please post a screen shot please?
well, I made a package using Pandora for my Hermes.
in order to solve the symbol problem, I had to include the symbol pad in the ROM.
everything works just fine now.
Thank you guys!!!

Would you be so kind as to share your Pandora package, please?
Also, have you noticed the problem with using the slide out keyboard and XT9 input on the hermes?

can you tell what the 3 different files are and how to use them, do they have CABs?
if it is a keyboard skin why are there 3 files to DL?
thanks

the three files are keyboard, random acess( this like iphone where you can slide your finger down the alfabet letters so you can go straight to that group), and the last one i am still trying to figure out what this is for.
the only one i am using is random access that works. if you want i will share my personnal rom with random access included. the only thing you will have to do is use schaps 1.0 config to remap your left soft key to random access and rename the shown name to contacts. by doing this random access works all the time.
disable xt9
hi,
the keyboard is cool, its working on my tytn.
my problem is that i don't like the t9 at all. i'm used to write messages my way.
i searched in the forums, and there was a tip of deleting registry key tegic. if i rename the key, the keyboard is not working anymore. does anyone have an idea or solution to disable the xt9 input method for the touch keyboard?
the setting XT9SupportMSSip is on 1, i changed it to 0 -> this worked fine, i don't have the t9 support in the default keyboards anymore (it displays the icon on the top, but it is switched off on text-entry.)
has anyone already exported the HTC Touch Dual 'Image Viewer'?
looks very nice!!
would some one please kindly supply with fixed cab file
The T9 would be a great tool if it can be switch on and off! Especially when in hard keyboard mode....
Keyboard skins
Hi
Is there a way to make this fabulous keyboard (thanks to the autor of this thread) working with an azerty -or whatever- keyboard ?
Thanks in advance
Regards.
Edit: With Advanced Config Tool from schap's, you can set the default keyboard layout !

yes it is in this forum (look for htc album)
I luv this keyboard, but for what ever reason there apears to be an issue with contacts selection within pocket outlook.
Ie when you type in the first couple of letters of a contact in the mail To box, I used to be presented with a filtered list of contacts, for what ever reason this doesn't happen now.....not sure if anybody knows any reg edits of this funtion.
I'll post some screenshots when I get home
Does anyone know if it is possible to turn on Auto Correct again using slide-pot keyboard? As i installed this Auto Correct doesnt work, and it is ticked?
thank you
I am really happy to see this keyboard fix, For all foreigners in Japan who have this phone, touch dual or ht1100, this keyboard fix is AWESEOME, HTC released the touch phone here with a tiny little blue keyboard that could ony be used with a fine stylus, and made it impossible to use.
I been looking for this fix for a long time.
Thank you.

How to connect mini bluetooh keyboard to Desire Froyo

This is for those who are having problems connecting Desire with a Bluetooth Keyboard, in my case a Chinese mini Bluetooth keyboard (model PA-BK03- $ 27.00).
Things you need:
1) Rooted Desire (in my case OpenDesire 1.3b)
2) 3 files (hidd, hcitool and hciconfig) from code google
3) Recovery console (unrevoked for example)
4) And a Bluetooth keyboard…
The basic principle is to copy these 3 files to /system/xbin and set the permissions to 755, and than, after you enable Bluetooth on the phone and on the device, run the follow command:
#hcitool scan
Scanning ...
DC:2C:26:B3:C6:46 Bluetooth Mini Keyboard
Than
# hidd --connect DC:2C:26:B3:C6:46 (use your own MAC Address)
After it, you mini keyboard will stop blinking the blue led….TADA….is done!
I just cook the blu_sign.zip that contains the 3 files…you can use your recovery console apply it. And I recommend to use gscript lite to write the “hidd --connect” command and shortcut it in your home screen.
All the credits goes to…. Erin at i-miss-erin blogspot
And please I’m not a developer just curious and I hope that some noble developer make an fancy apk better than this.
Brasil na final da copa…

Would it be possible to pair a BT mouse this way, too?
Hi that's very interesting, will this method help with connecting other bluetooth devices? ps3 controller perhaps... or the wii one which apparently wont work with htc sense..
hup Holland hup
The ps3 controller isn't a hid device, but afaik a wii nunchuck is.
They did get ps3 controllers working on PC though , so it might be possible.
That keyboard looks nice btw. If it had one of them weird nipple things that old laptops used as a mouse I'd deffinately invest in one.
S60mike, I just connect my mighty mouse from apple and guess what...its working. Amazing for some games

When i try to pair my apple magic mouse it shows:
Can't create HID control channel: Connection refused
Where can/must I enter 0000 as pairing-code? Isn't this required? Now I try my Apple BT Keyboard
When I enter hidd command android popup to enter mighty mouse code. Try first at android bluetooth setting.

According to the keyboard on dealextreme, it supports android apparently.... I would have said it was out of the box support
Tried a couple times with my foldable keyboard from Palm,, it keeps telling me that "stderr: Device is not available: No such device"

Got a Nexus One here.
There is a major internal difference between the two and three battery keyboards, with many saying the three battery keyboard works better.
Well that's good news for me as I have the 3 battery! But not had any luck yet. Tried on a rooted rom but got device not found on hciconfig. So running stock again for now.
Does anyone know if Froyo will make it any easier and is it impossible to run hidd un-rooted?

Multiple language voice search issue

I've got probably a somewhat unique problem and I wondered if there was a setting or conf file somewhere I could tweak to fix it.
The problem is that I'm a native English speaker but I use my phone in Spanish. I wish to perform voice searches in English because there are some things for which I don't know the word in Spanish and because my accent means Spanish voice to speech is a little less accurate than it should be. my phone used to work perfectly in Spanish with English voice searching until Google added support for spanish. My current work around of changing the phone's language settings back to English then to Spanish again works but is less than ideal as it takes ages to do and you'd often be faster typing you're search in manually. is there another way round this? is there a setting I can tweak? my Desire is rooted if it helps!......Sent from my HTC Desire using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
Anyone any ideas?
Sent from my HTC Desire using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
guessing that's a don't know. I was thinking that voice search had to be instructed to send the audio to a specific server based on the language and that either the program might be patchable or some config file editable...maybe even a script to change the language then launch voice search then switch it off again? or some program that might catch dns requests for the Spanish server and re-route them to the English one? I am just theorising of course! perhaps there's even an option I simply don't know about? anyone got any ideas?

Problems with HTC Hub (Widgets)

hey guys,
yesterday i tried to download few widgets from htc hub...
there had always been only three (i guess Fortune Cookie, Translator and one else).
now there are many many more
notes, tasks, "Fake call", etc..
some of them work, but since i installed the task widget, the texture of the widget itself and the texture of the notes widget is "damaged"...
other problem: i wanna install the "fake call" widget..it downloads the app, and installs it, as i can see in notification bar..but its not really there..seems that it cancels the installation..
any advice?
DN41
fake call installation suceeded when startet in htc likes and not in htc hub.
any advice referring to the texture problem?

Sence.com and HTC Hub, is still in beta, thats why some things dont work yet

Language Issues

This is the first time I bumped into this issue, and I must admit it sucks
Here's the deal, in every single phone I had I've used the phone (UI) in english, and wrote text in spanish using Itap.
My last phone (nokia 5800) had no problems with that.
With this new one, Moto Defy, I see there's no way to change the UI language, and the auto-prediction separately.
I thought it had to do with the fact that Android by default doesn't have a T9 like keyboard for text input so I downloaded a couple of apps for that but all have the same issue, they work fine, but they keep using the language for auto-prediction set in Settings (which is English, for the UI)
Does anybody know how I could accomplish this?
Hope somebody can help =)
Regards!
I had your same issue and I solved it using "htc ime mod keyboard"; you can find it here on xda forum, not on the market (therefore you have to manually install it).
It's fully customizable, has T9 prediction, supports many languages.
Infact I configured the volume button to quickly switch between 2 languages that I use.

I'm really picky when it comes to typing speed so maybe it's just me. I'll see what I can do but thanks =)
