Here's the tmobile-tv.apk file from the MyTouch HD ROM. T-Mobile gives you a 30 day trial and 9.99 per month fee for premium access and i think free for the standard stuff. not sure what's what yet but i tried out a few channels and it works great!

I believe it does an account check on initial use. it requires you to be on mobile data to start the app the first time, and then after you can stream via wifi if you want.
installed this on my hd2 running android 2.2. it installs, and when i open it, it gets stuck on the magenta t mobile tv opening page and nothing loads. anyone else get this problem?
Edit: got only blank screen when connected to 3g. connected thru wifi, then ran program, got past initial page, search for updates, do you want to start trial, clicked yes, and it said i must disable wifi on first run, so i clicked disable wifi, and then it gets stuck in loading screen. so i get nothing in 3g, in wifi, get somewhere but sent back to 3g. anyone else?
I was just coming to post this, but it looks like you beat me to it.
I just extracted it from the MyTouch ROM, installed it on my G2, and it's working perfectly. I have no intention of actually paying 10 bucks a month for it, but I'll keep it installed, see what content stays free after 30 days.

Not sure if you know but that NFL apk floating out there is for verizon, yet I have it running on at&t.

Actually, if you read the agreement, you can go to the HELP tab and unsubscribe from there. There is a checkbox that you uncheck to unsubscribe.
Hung on 3G so turned on wifi said to close wifi then just 'hangs" on 3G. So I rebooted and now just "hangs" on both 3G and/or Wifi.

ever since I went to visit the East Coast, my phone simply will not pick up my location. This has been going on for the past two months but I figured it would tide over. If I try to pick up my location in GPS, no luck. If I try to add a weather app, it won't work on Detect location. Is this a problem with the phone that occurs over time? Is my phone messed up? Is it my rom? (Cyanogen 7.0.3)

The compass works but maps and weather simply don't. I try to use my location as the start location and I keep getting the "location currently unavailable" message.

Im tired of Cyanogen's CRAPPY wifi.

I don't know if it's your case as well, but have you tried setting your router to broadcast in b and g signals only? It sucks to make all the other devices suffer for the phone's sake, but it did the trick for me.

Dude just download CM7 from their website, extract it, and it should be an apk in /system/app called MS-HTCVISION-KNT20-02.apk! That is wifi calling! , then just download a new rom and then install the apk separately!

wifi calling doesn't work that way. you have to put it directly in the system/app folder in the .zip file and copy over the right .lib files from a rom with wifi calling or you'll just get instant fc's

The phone supports N mode.
Switching it to G would be just for kicks.

That's actually a pretty gool idea, but like Nexus said about libs.. I dont want to deal with adding and removing libs.

does anyone know of a good free wifi calling app that is useable in canada? most wifi calling apps are either not avalible in canada or you need to pay. thanks
Wifi Calling apps exist for everyone? I was under the impression that it was only possible if the carrier supported it (a.k.a. T-Mobile).

Any ideas why my app crashes on the AT&T network when using 4G but works fine using Wifi on my S3? The app is Digisocial which is in beta. I have friends successfully using Digisocial over 4G with Verizon and someone using it on an S2 with Sprint and they have no issues. Only AT&T. I wonder if it is an AT&T thing or maybe something I am overlooking. Any help would be great.

You said it right there, report the issue to the App developer, that's the point of beta testing
