help... i tried to change rom into wm6.5 ariey ultimate from sd card
first it didn't start but after i taken out battery when hard reset, keep all buttons pressed and replaced battery , it started to install.
unfortunatly it got stuck into hp welcome screen of winmobile 6.5.
when after a while i tried resetting, soft reset didn't work, and hard reset brought it back into bootloader without continueing to load the rom.
so here it is stuck. im open for any suggestion what to do to resolve this.
when connecting to pc, usb device doesn't show or connect.

HELP!!!
I have the exact same issue after the upgrade. Nothing will happen. I spent several hours trying resets, combination of button pressed, removed battery, resets, just to try to get back the boot loader mode but nothing is happening.
there has to be a way to do this and I hope someone on this board had that issue before and got it resolved.
I had a similair issue with my old XDA II, it turned out my storage card was corrupted. Use a card reader to check your storage card is OK, perhaps format the storage card (having saved any data first of course) and see how you fare
Have had the same problem wirh a radio ROM update on my QTEK9000. The anly thin that still worked was the hard reset. After the hard reset the device still did not respond. But when i connected it to the PC I could start the updateprocess of the original ROM. I took about 20 minutes for the whole procedure and than the Qtek9000 was back in factory default (Pffff and I could breath again).
So perhaps you can try a hard rest and then connect aganin to the PC.
I allready tried this!
But nothing happens.
Even if i put the power device or the usb into the mda, no LED schows anything. just sometimes the LED is red for not more than a minute. if it then goes out, i get the message "Unknown usb device" in my PC
Are you in bootloeader mode? Do you see the words USB or Serial on the screen of the Universal in Portrait mode. Note: Backlight is off so you have too look real hard, but it should be there
no, i see nothing.
I had quite a hard time yesterday while upgrading. The bootloader is very hard to see, use a torch to lite up your display. In portrait view on the top should be the word serial or usb, on the bottom v1.00.
I also did a hard-reset in this stage, but it just returned to the bootloader menue.
If I connect to the PC and the device is recognized I see the word serial in the display change to USB. For me I do not know the reason but my PC did not want to fulfill the upgrade process. Needed to take another PC (Laptop) to solve the problem. After the upgrade of the ROM, You still need to upgrade the Radio (this was my experience) before a cold-reset will put You back to business.
Good luck.

Having the exact same problem as gary_b and having performed quite a few upgrades, I can confirm there is absolutlely nothing on the screen. The unit will not go into bootloader mode or even able to do a hard reset. It is not recognized when plugged in the USB.
When connected to power and the hard reset procedure is done, the red charging light will come up for less than 1/2 seconds and disappear.
I tried all different combination to make it boot but nothing. If I could at least get it to bootloader more, I can revive it.
Feel very bad I cannot help here.
I was wondering Yesterday about one thing. IF, during all this upgrading process, the battery runs out, (as it does not seem to charge during upgrade process) will it show bootloader screen ?
Would it be possible to get a loaded battery from somebody to check yours ?
That is a good suggestion to try out, but I have been unable to find anyone that has that device. It might be simply a drained battery.
Mine got corrupted I think at the end of the upgrade right after I did a regular reset instead of teh power and reset procedure.
However, I would think that even with no battery in, the unit should power back up when plugged in no?
Maybe an idea for somebody who is doing upgrading now, and is in bootloader status anyway.
Take out the battery, but connect with USB to PC with ASync. Does the bootloader state show ?
I am sorry to not do it for myself, if You saw my desperate state Yesterday, You will believe that I am not willing to see that bootloader screen for some time, sorry.

now i know what to do:
Nothing!!
I went to a service-point with my mda pro and there was nothing to do with it.
If this happens the complete memory is "killed". Like "format c:" and while format is running you switch out the power.
Thanks god: I got a new MDA pro because i did not tell them (in the store)that i tried an update!
But i called the service-line before anf they told me that there is nothing to do!
But thx
Wow, can't say that this is good informatuin for those with this problem, but very glad it worked out for You.
I ve had this problem 5 minutes ago. Finally a took out the battery. Then connect to AC and Red led is on. Then i put the battery, tried hard reset and message to confirm hard reset in the screen (wellcome to life, jasjar). Then i run radio update again and it's upgrading rigth now....buffffff
I almost suffered a heart attack when this happened an hour ago. Have found that the update works fine if the SD card is taken out... phew.

Unlock the ext rom turned my device into a dead ppc, help please

I have tried to unlock the ext rom by changing the registry asdescribed in the forum, the result was a white screen tried a hard reset but the result became worser, a dead ppc with a black screen, only when I keep puching on the power button a red green light start flashing. I have tried every possible issue hard, soft reset. Tried to bootload from the sd card without a possible solution, can anybody help me out here, thanks
i guess there is only one option left, flash your device again
I have tried to flash again without succes, the flashing can happen only when there is a usb connection, the driver was not found and the ppc still dead.

My Dash stuck on the red, green, blue screen (please help)

Yesterday, I tried to upgrade my T-mobile Dash ROM to WM6.1 ROM by kavana. I downloaded and ran both the SDA application unlock and the Excalibur USPL - Cid Bypass. After I completed all the steps, I run the upgrade ROM but it failed at 4% with error 270. After that, I turned the phone off and turned it back on; however, it now stuck on the red(ONBL1.10.0000), green(SPL1.10.0000), and blue(IU) screen every time I turned the phone on.
After I searched using the search function in this forum, I found several solutions, but none of them work for me. I tried to do hard reset (pressing soft buttons) with no success. I also tried to flash the original T-mobile WM5 ROM with no success(error 260) even though the phone is already connected to the PC. My computer cannot read the phone, but the USB indicator on the bottom right corner can detect there is a mobile device connected to the pc.
Is there anyway that I can do to repair my phone?
Same problem here.
On normal boot I get the HTC logo and nothing else.
Hard reset doesn't work.
I can enter the bootloader (Camera+power) but have attempted to flash several roms all failing.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks to all

HELP! REALLY bricked rx1950

I've managed to really stuff up my rx1950 after flashing it with the Factory 6.1 ROM upgrade. All it does now after a reset is to run through the progress bar on the +hp initial screen and then sit there and sulk. The ROM version on the screen is 1.01.04. I've tried everthing I could Google for but to no avail. I cannot get it into bootloader mode, each time I press calendar, email and reset till it comes to life I just get the +hp screen again and no sign of a white screen. I've tried to flash it from a PC but that can't connect. I've tried installing the CEOS.nbf file on the root of a blank SD card and resetting, hard resetting and bootloader resetting.. I only get the +hp screen. I read about pressing the power and reset buttons, releasing reset and it should go into the ROM loader mode from the SD card but that does not work. I've tried bootloader.exe and Bootloader_GUI.exe with no avail. Is there any other options or no hope for me?
Thanks,
Steve

lp needed for bootloading x51v

After flashing x51v with many roms including the latest makuu's WM 6.5 I think it died at last.It tries to boot but it only shows blue dell logo.I tried again to load many different roms but each time it fails in the middle.Under the"Sd Image Update AXX_g3" bar,It always says "Image update failed .Please try it again"
If possible I need suggestions any other than the followings as I tried them:
Ensured that it is not the battery latch problem and the lock button is not on.
Soft and hard reset was done and only showed blue dell logo.
I already tried waiting for about 30 mins but nothings happens. The bad side is that since this happened, I have the same effect with all other images I tried which flawlessly worked before. I tried the Dell ones and others from Lenny but they are not writing any longer, same as above. I still can start the process, so the bootloader is working.
I always use a fresh formatted card and the Ax is on external power each time. I learned that over time as well. I tried a third card today, 1GB, with the same result.
I did run the diagnostics and everything passed besides the "Flash" part.It shows only "0" each time. So this is why it refuses all images and does not start the write process.
For those who don't know, you can run the diag by holding Power and Record (below WLAN) buttons and pressing reset for a moment. Keep holding the other two until the diagnostics screen pops up.
Looks I successfully bricked my Ax.
