I need to return my Evo to sprint, but i have a custom splash.
Will the RUU take care of it, or do i need to find the stock splash screen which i cant find ANYWHERE!!
Help!
Moving to EVO area.
Why is this labeled "[resolved]"? I don't see an answer, and in fact, have the same question.
Yes using an RUU will Resotre your Boot and Splash Screens to the Stock Screens for that RUU

Can anyone help me fix it?
Regards
If your only able to change the first splash screen its probably your spl.
I can't change any of the splash screens. Any idea why?

Like he said the SPL.
I have been lookign all day about SPL on mytouch3G, couldnt find really good stuff or instructions to read. Mostly they are for G1 aka Dream.
I rooted MyTouch using theunlockr.com one click method. It doesnt change radio or SPL. First of all whats some of the stuff other tehn changing splash screen that i can not do with out changing SPL?
Secondly where can i get the SPL for MT3G 32B?
Do I need to flash the latest radio for this too, if so where can i find a compatiable radio for my phone?
Everywhere i read its been said abt being very careful while flashing SPL, so i just want to know where to get the SPL for my phone. Any help will be really appreciated.
Thanks

I have got my new Desire and have been trying to remove the ugly T-Mobile branding from my phone. I have used Unrevoked and flashed a new ROM successfully. However, I still have the T-Mobile splash screen (not boot screen). I understand to modify this I have to be S-OFF, but my bootloader says I am S-ON. Can I still change the splash via the recovery menu? Or is more hacking required? Also, does anyone have the stock HTC boot screen (and sound) in a recovery-flashable zip format.
Thanks guys!
bumping for fun and profit.
So today while following a tutorial, not sure which one. I managed to completely erase my system partition from my phone, leaving me without anything, including s-off. So now im stuck at S-ON, no system software, and no custom recovery. What gives? Is there anyway to put atleast SOME software on the phone. I'd love to use my EVO that i just purchased today, and spent countless hours trying to get permanent root. Even a stock ruu or something would be nice. Anything is appreciated. Thanks.
Try a stock ruu..

I've googled, tried the HTC site, somewhat searched xda, found a lot of rooted stock roms, could you point me in the direction of an ACTUAL stock ruu? My phone came with 2.2 and 2.02 bootloader, if that helps any.

Only has up to 3.30 though.
But I think thats the one that shipped on phones with that booloader version.
The RUU won't recognize my phone, but the software itself has a few typo's and asks for an adb device with an odd looking string after it. Would it be possible to find the update.zip from the ruu and install it using fastboot? because thats about the only thing that works on my phone.
You have bootloader right? How about this one?
OTA_supersonic_3.70 + full RUU

Yes I have bootloader, call me ignorant, but what do I do with the zip files? I the exe link is broken, and i've never had to use the bootloader before, i came from an htc hero with a custom recovery.
Here's the RUU link posted by TMartin03: RUU_SuperSonic_S_Sprint_WWE_3.70.651.1_Radio_2.15.00.11.19_NV_1.90_release_161482_signed.exe

If you need to PC36IMG file, its located here in this post by TMartin03. I assume you would have to rename this to PC36IMG.zip for it to work in bootloader.
Fixed, flashed that pc36img file, THANK YOU!!!!!
Awesome...glad to help and hear that it worked out for you.

Pulling the battery, putting it back in, holding the power and vol down button simultaneously (dont release) doesn't get you to the bootloader?
Hello,
I have a DHD is bought from Germany with T-Mobile. It has a first splash screen is including t-mobile splash screen. I have flashed lots of roms but I can't solve this problem. How can we remove this?
Thanks
you need eng s-off, look in the themes section, there are 2 threads about changing the splash screen
It is eng-offed and rooted but when I changed my splash screen, firstly t-mobile splash showed up after than I have seen custom splash screen.
Did you flash splash1 or bootanimation(splash2)?
my dhd is (was ) a T-mobile device too and this method works 100%
how to remove tmobile splash screen from htc desire hd
Hello,
I have a bought HTC DESIRE HD from UK with T-Mobile. It's first splash screen is t-mobile and then htc. How can we remove t-mobile splash screen and please provide the troubleshooting steps so that it would help everyone ?
try boot flash pro from the market, its what I use whenever I want to change my splash screen. Pick the picture you want as your splash, press 1 button and jobs done

I got a t-mobile branded DHD, and had no problems with root s-off etc. and im currently running revolution 2.0.11 ROM.
But the tmobile bootscreen is still there. Is there any possibility to remove it?
I already tried to replace the bootanimation.zip in /data/local/. So first I thought that worked because when fastboot is turned on the new bootanimation shows up on restart.
But when I go into CWM or when fastboot is turned off the tmobile logo is still showing up.
I also flashed Kernel and Radio but still no effect.
Does anyone know where this logo is stored or how it can be removed?

Yes it's on the /splash2 partition. To nuke it you need a new splash.img. You can get one from extracting from an ruu or there is a thread for custom splash screen in the themes section of the forum.
You also need eng hboot s-off not radio s-off then you can boot to fastboot and do "fastboot flash splash2 splash.img"
-----
Someone Swyped my idea.
like mox said it's not the boot animation, its the splash, you need to have eng s-off, then find the image you want as a splash, you need to convert the .bmp to an .img, then you can flash it from fastboot using the command "fastboot flash splash1 xxxxxx.img"
thx for your fast answers!
how do i convert a bmp to img? i guess it wont work by just changing the file ending?
im so glad i wont have to see that t-mobile logo anymore now my DHD is completely liberated from all this provider crap
