Where can I find the rooted version of the latest ota to download to my PC? - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

**EDIT** IM LOOKING FOR THE LATEST UNROOTED OTA. Sorry!!
I want to loose root by installing the lastest OTA. I tried installing it via a wi-fi connection on my phone. The installation process began but an error occurs part way through. Does anyone know where I can download the latest OTA so i can flash it.

Please Help! I Think Sprint's Recent Evo4G Update 5.07.651.1 Messed Up My Phone!

To make a really long story short, after Sprint's recent ota 5.07.651.1 (the update that came with the Sprint connections optimizer) was installed on my phone, I could no longer download or update ANY apps on the android/google play market while connected to 4G. Went to the Sprint store to get it fixed, they tried and failed, got a new replacement handset with ota 5.07.651.1 already installed, same exact issue. Reached the conclusion that the update screwed things up. Downloaded and tried to use this RUU file to revert back to the old build right before this one (4.67.651.1):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1484240
This was unsuccesful as the error message it gave me said:
ERROR [140]: BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR
The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone.
Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again.
My hboot is 2.18.0001, is there a version of the above RUU file that is compatible with my bootloader version?
What is it you're trying to do?
If you unlock your bootloader, you can downgrade your ROM.

Will that void my warranty?

If your phone isn't rooted and your bootloader isnt unlocked, then you shouldn't be here. You should be in a sprint store politely asking them for a phone that works. I would get a working phone before you even try rooting/unlocking your phone. It may have larger issues that sprint wont want to fix after you root it.

[Q] Lollipop OTA - "device suspected in rooting"

So, for a previous OTA update on 4.4 KitKat that brought some bug fixes, I could simply do a temporary unroot and use OTA survival mode with Superuser/SuperSU.
Now, with this new OTA that updates the OS to Lollipop, none of that seems to work. It always detects that the device is rooted and I don't know how.
So, does anyone have any idea how to apply this Lollipop OTA with a rooted device? How to avoid OTA rooted phone detection?
The last resort is to either use SuperSU to unroot fully or flash a fresh stock ROM... and none of those are satisfying.
Thanks in advance!
It's more than obvious that you need to flash a stock rom for OTA to function properly.

Well, you can play around with RCT, there are guides on resetting that.
Though it's not gonna work, such a big upgrade will break root regardless of ota survival mode or whatever. Or you will get a bootloop...
Do it the right way. Install TWRP, then install rooted LL rom.

Hi! I'm in South Korea and I had the exact same issue on KK.. I always used to flash the stock and then update KK... HOWEVER .....I didn't receive OTA update on Lollipop. I connected my phone to LG PC Suite and the phone updated from there.. and I didn't have to unroot. Have you tried connecting your phone to LG PC Suite and update from there? Good luck
IMO.. Lollipop sucks! I went back to KK after trying Lollipop for a few days.

[Q] About the Lollipop update

I have a SMT805, rooted and all, but since I'm abroad for several more months, I dont have a PC.
Is there any way to upgrade from KitKat without requiring a pc?
Like, I dunt know, flashing the update through recovery or something.
Anything I can do?
I don't think it's possible
There are some flashable zips of lollipop ROMs but you need to install the official update first to make them work and that requires a PC. To make it worse, you won't even get the OTA update as you have rooted. So as far as I know, you will need a PC to update.
Unfortunately not. Odin is required to flash the files as boot loader access is required via download mode.

Need latest ota update in odin flash files

I've think I soft bricked my G928A. was on the ota mm and I attempted to go back to 5.1.1
(i'm stupid and wanted root back for a tether since I have unlimited data.)
But i'm bootlooping and can only get back in download mode.
Have used EVERY available odin flash file made for our phone?
Am I SOL? or, Do I just need to wait until someone can get ahold of the files for the latest ota update.
Thanks guys!

Which version did you use to odin back to 5.1.1? I just rolled back to 5.1.1 because I was on a version of 6.0.1 that did not end up being used, and could not get the new update with WIFI calling. I used this G928AATT2AOJ1_Recovery ODIN TO STOCK. Here is the link to the post where I got it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...ate-ota-version-g928aucu2bpd5-t3373689/page17
It worked great, I am back to the correct version of MM now and am just waiting for the OTA of the new update.
