I have a trouble using my HTC Desire with my car Hands Free Kit. The car kit is Motorola T605. A2DP streaming and outgoing calls work perfectly but every time there is an incoming call it is not routed to the hands free. The ROM I am using is a rooted 2.2 stock ROM.
While searching through this and other forums I found out that De-Frost ROM solves this issue. I believe it is because De-Frost include N1 bluetooth stack instead of HTC's but, no sense means no FM Radio which is really important for me.
Does anyone know a solution for this issue that allows using a sense enabled ROM?
Thanks!

I have the Motorolla S9 bluetooth A2DP stereo headset.
I also have the Hero currently running VillainROM 3.4 but I've been trying to run a bt connection for A2DP media playback with almost all Android 2.1 ROMS with same results.
The phone pairs fine but once I start playing any mp3 headset disconnects and reconnects at random.
I should mention that bluetooth works great in my car with the stock stereo system for simple phone calls.
I searched the entire forum but couldn't find anyone else with this issue ... Modaco 3.1 people report bt stereo playback to be working fine .. I think this is a 2.1 issue as VillainROM 3.3 and 3.4 and BeHero and other 2.1 based roms have this issue.
please HELP
Hello rafynet
i had same problem and i have solved with this method:
your phone must be rooted
there is a file in /etc/bluez/audio.conf
copy that to your pc.Change the lines
from
-----------------------------
Enable=Source,Control,Sink
Disable=Headset,Gateway
-----------------------------
to
-----------------------------
Enable=
Disable=Headset,Gateway,Source,Control,Sink
-------------------------------------------
save it.
copy the changed file back to /etc/bluez/
I have tried this solution in all rom that i have tested and all work well for me, watch the entire article:
Issue 3960: Bluetooth issues with car systems in Android 1.5 / 1.6
I'm sorry, i can't post this link on forum!!
search it in google.
sorry for my english!
I'm waiting your feedback!!
I hope this solution works well for you. Try this!
your solution helped a little bit ... but bluetooth connection still drops and re-connects all the time ... it's very annoying.
I'm fairly sure this will be fixed when we get the official Hero 2.1 update.
I had noticed the same thing with my Motorola T505 ROKR handsfree adapter. Worked fine in 1.5, but in 2.1 it would disconnect every 30 seconds or so, then reconnect.
However... I've just got a new car stereo (Pioneer DEH-P6100BT) and it actually works *BETTER* in VillianROM 4.0 than it did in Modaco 3.2. In Modaco, it would only connect to "phone audio" and not "media audio," and I had to go into the Android settings and enable "media audio" each time I got in my car. With VillainROM, it connects automatically and it doesn't disconnect. Also, I've found that in 2.1, when listening to BT Audio, the music doesn't get interrupted by notification sounds, which I hated about 1.5.
I've had nothing but problem with a2dp on the hero, and it's probably the feature I need to work the most. I tried a whole host of 1.5 and 2.1 roms but none of them would consistantly connect to my pioneer deh-p700bt. I read somewhere that it's been a problem for lots of people since the 2.73.x series of updates, so I downgraded to the T-Mobile 1.76.110.6 stock rom and it's worked perfectly for me ever since! I'll have to stick with that one for now and hope it gets fixed in the upcoming 2.1 update
Hi,
I have a question about this subject :
i have a bluetooth car stereo with phone handfree inclued.
With all ROMs I tried (and a tried a lot...)
the phone handsfree always worked
Depend of the ROM, some items were available or not : (battery indicator or signal level indicator for example)
With only one ROM (and I don't remember which one), I could transfer my contact list from the phone to the car stereo system (with bluetooth).
Does someones knows if this feature will be again available into the next ROM (official or not) ?
Thx
PS : sorry for my bad english

The Android SDK did not include a bluetooth API in 1.5, but it is included in 2.1. I would guess we'll see a big improvement with the official 2.1 update.
Hi All!
When running a Sense rom, the phonecalls do not connect to my bluetooth handsfree if I pick up the call via the screen, but when I pick up via the bluetooth handsfree the audio is routed to the handsfree set. This is what I want and call normal behavior.
I'm currently running an AOSP rom on my Desire and with all the AOSP rom's i've tried the phonecalls gets routed to the handsfree set regardless of picking up via screen og handsfree set. Is there a setting that I have overlooked or does a hack exist to solve this ?
Is this a known issue/"feature"? If I'm using wifi calling on my G2, the device ignores my connected wired headset and uses only the phone speaker and mic. If I'm not using wifi calling, everything works fine. It did this before and after installing Bacon Bits. I haven't tried this with Bluetooth, but wired is really where my concern is.
Brad
Sorry for the shameless bump, but is anyone else having this problem? It happens on both mine and my wife's G2. The DTMF (dialing) comes through the headset, but when the call itself connects, it goes to the handset. Speakerphone works fine also.
Anyone else? Is this a known bug or "feature" that I'm just not aware of?
Brad
Yeah, I just discovered this issue....any have any information on this? I was hoping to use this for long conference calls...kind of useless if I cannot use a headset.
Edit: Bluetooth seems to work fine - but I don't want to depend on it.

I hope that's not a bug b/c my main use on my phone (HTC magic 32b) has been making calls through internet using new built in sip and the next phone I will get is an HTC T-Mobile G2 and if I can't talk through headset will making calls through sip then that will be a huge drawback.

Was wondering if Coredroid 7.0 supports sharing phone contacts via bluetooth? I have a Motorola Roadster Bluetooth device in my car and hoped my phone contact list could be shared so I could voice dial using it.
I'm having the following issues:
1) Takes a long time to connect..phone shows paired but not connected (after several minutes it may or may not connect)
2) Doesn't allow me to voicedial (Get an FC if I hit the voicedial button on Roadster)
3) Doesn't support accessing phonebook via bluetooth?
Love the Rom....just wish I could use bluetooth device in my car. Anyone else having issues?
I too am seeing the voice dialer FC when activated from BT but it seems to work fine when initiated from the phone. Would be nice to be able to initiate voice dial from my BT headset. Have done some reading on this issue and appears to be occurring with many roms so it might not be a coredroid issue or even an issue coredroid can fix??

I ended up downloading Vlingo from the market. Voice dialing now works fine with my bluetooth Motorola roadster.

Are you able to use the bluetooth button, with the screen off, to initiate a dial?
I can't seem to find anything that works well to leave the phone in my bag in the back seat, and make a call.
Hello Members,
I will be spending more time than wished on the road and will be on the market for a bluetooth kit that will enable hands free phone conversations.
What is the Best Wireless Bluetooth Car Hands-free Kit ?
This unit will have to work on my Android Samsung Vibrant S and then the Samsung S III when it comes out.

This looks good
I got one from Grom audio that integrates with my factory radio. May be more trouble than you want to go through to install, but it's really nice once it's in there. It's primarily sold as a media player integration kit, but with the bluetooth module, it also works as a hands free kit. It supports voice dialing and answering using buttons on the factory radio and does A2DP for media streaming. Works great with a Vibrant on froyo or ICS.
