So what Kernel do you guys suggest with CM6, I have a OC one which is oc768-v3-cm-2.6.29.6-signed - This is the one I have downloaded, but not installed cause im not sure if its compatible or if it will mess up my settings or whats up, still kinda new to this.
Also, am I having reception issues because I havent installed the 709 radio?
I have the 806 3.5 kernel installs on the 9/28 nightly and it works great.

It was an update sent out by tmobile that was supposed to address some signal issues the slide was having trying to lock on to data (3G/HSPA). Just flash it, I should have the link in my sig.

The leaked radio (2.15.00.04.08) works on my particular device and I've used it on both Sense roms (Froyo builds) as well as on Gingerbread AOSP roms. I'm still using it and I currently am running the Salvage-Mod 1.2.1 rom. Everything works on my device. Is there a noticeable improvement over the previous radios? Not that I can tell, but I've not noticed an decline in performance either. It works and I'm satisfied with it.
Do you just flash the radio and go? I thought I might have read somewhere about having to reroot or something?

download the radio, rename it as PC36IMG, place it on your SD card, turn off your phone, go into bootloader (hold power + volume down), wait for it to find the file, click yes to update, and then it'll reboot. That's it.
Done. Phone still works. Upped my NV to 1.90 and then flashed the radio. May not notice anything but at least its current.

Download the radio from xHAUSx's thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038701 or click on the radio number in my signature.
I flashed it yesterday and using a froyo ROM, I haven't noticed any difference in phone performance and signal strength.
Me neither. Kinda worthless. Wish I knew what the difference was before I suggest not flashing/pointless
Need the Latest Sprint PRL....Where can i find this?
I did a quick search through the forum and the latest one i found was from Nov 2010....
i need this as well
If you're using a sense-based rom, go to menu-settings-updates or something to that effect and then select update PRL.
posting & replying via the XDA Premium app.
Im running CM7.0.3.1. Is there any way to update PRL without having to flash back to a Sense ROM?

There's a flashable of it somewhere, but I don't know.
Just backup, flash a sense rom, update, flash back. It takes of five minutes.
Thx guys. I just updated by flashing into a sense rom....i was trying to find a quicker way to switch back and forth between verizon network and sprint because i frequent an area with crappy sprint coverage.

No, download and unzip.
Put the .prl on the root of your sdcard, then in a sense Rom open the dialer and type ##prl# then wait for prompt
Then enter your MSL ( use MSL reader on market If you don't have) then choose the prl and hit ok, then hit menu and commit, it will then reboot
Ok, Here's the deal.

You can flash the radios at any time I used the ones from calk's link sorry I don't have the link off hand just search it. You flash them from recovery.
I'm using mikg v1.03 with no problems and it comes with the gb kernel. Just make sure you wipe everything like it says on his thread.
Here is a link to mikg.

Thank you soo much, So Do i flash the Rom First Then the Radio? or The Radio First then the Rom? or it just Doesnt Really matter? That Rom comes with the New Gingerbread kernel and hotspot?
You can flash the radio and rom in any order. My personal preference is to do the rom first and then the radio, but I have no reason to believe that doing it the other way around would be detrimental in any way.
MikG does come with the latest kernel and I'm pretty sure the hotspot is unlocked too, but honestly I prefer to use Wifi Tether For Root Users since it allows tethering with WiMax whereas the hotspot app forces EVDO. If you're not in a 4G area though it's a moot point
It doesn't matter what one you flash first and I'm not sure about the hotspot I use wifi tether free on the market and you can use 4g with that one.

there is not really a thread on it. each area is works different with each radio. i use the 07.07 GB and for me it has better reception and GPS lock. but it might be different for each person. best thing to do is load a radio and try it for a couple of days. if you notice its not as good as previous then just go back.
to flash a radio you do it in Hboot. make sure the zip is on the root directory of the SD card then boot into Hboot. if the file is named correctly ''PB31IMG.zip" then Hboot will see it and will ask you to update.
here is a site with all the radios that will work on our phones.(EVO radio will work)

That have nothing to do with flashing radios.
To flash a radio
1. Name the .zip file Exactly to
PB31IMG
2. Put the file in root of sdcard
3. Flash trough hboot

Yeah its gone, But I think Its only cosmetic and never an actual bug. People have OS super high and get 4-6 hours of screen time. I dont think it has anything to do battery.
So does this mean an actual ota is in the near future? And if so can we update to it and get root back? Or am I getting ahead of myself? Lol

Yeah freaking right! I wish! I only get 2 hours screen on time at most. Even GB but I think it's because Sprint just sucks. I dunno but it's depressing. I know I got better battery life before but mo matter what I flash, full wipes and all I still get bad battery life lately.

That's because that's what most everybody gets, and that number is really pretty good. nobody will get 6 hours of screen on time with a stock battery...probably not even with an extended battery. I think the Android OS bug is real, at least I've noticed pretty big decrease since going to these ics alphas. Since I've tried the leaked official...battery has been tons better.
