Im in great need of the best.
Can you guys tell me what's worked for you? Or where I can start looking? Need a whole day of heavy usage.

with true heavy usage no matter what some people claim and no matter what kernel you get you should expect 8-10 hours max of battery life.
as far as a decent set up i would try Myn's with the netarchy no havs kernel using the collin's battery tweak.
Okay, I know there is a billion threads on this but I have multiple questions. My first is; I am using juice defender after flashing myn's warm 2.2 with battery mod ana I'm only getting 1.1x so I just disabled it. I am not getting great battery life at all. About 5-7 hours, moderate use. No 4g, no bluetooth, and sadly wifi times out so I can't use that.

setcpu i use it at 800 mhz and i run 11 hours no problem and screen off set to 345 i think its well worth the money

try using other kernel that myn's post in his thread.
it's a trial and error process, but I got 15 hours with 5 hours up time using ziggy's kernel.
I was going to say the same thing. I'm using net 4.2 cfs bfs more havs smartass. Getting great battery life and if you flash a kernel give it about two days to let it set in. before you flash it fully charge it, wipe cache, then wipe battery stats, and then flash it.

Swyped from Eva running Myn's RLS4!
I've had my G2 since last year of early December. The first week I had it, I didn't root it because I wanted to see what kind of battery life I was going to get out. Heavy useage no matter what I seem to do I would get. 15 to 18 hours. Calling, texting, web, youtube, & games. If I didn't use the phone that much I would get over a day which would shock me. What I'm trying get at is do differnt kerenls really help your battery life? I've seen many people claiming this and differnt people got differnt results because of useage. What do you think post below.

YES.
I with the stock rom and light to no usage I would get about 8 hours. With continuous usage, probably just over an hour. With pershoot's undervolted kernel and CM7, I can get about 12 hours, and just about 4-5 hours heavy usage.
I really wish I could get these amazing battery lifes (lol) that everyone else seems to be getting, but it seems that I'll just have to deal with it because I live in a place with pretty much no signal.

Pershoot's kernel does not work with the stock rom. Are you using the stock rom?
Right. So a friend of my friend made me root his phone a while back and I threw mikg 2.52 on it and all was good. Now the guy contacted me today and said his battery life was in the crapper and wants me to change it to something more battery life favored since he isn't by a charger for a long time throughout the day. And since I have been using the new ics roms and jumping back and forth often I don't really know what to give him now.
So what's your opinions? I need something stable as a rock and best battery possible. I need this to last him a while since I almost never see this guy... Haha
P.s. I know people hate these kind of post. Just bear with me here because I'm meeting this guy tomorrow morning and have to know what I should flash for him. Also no aosp please.

You could have him try the one in your sig. It gave me great battery life when I used it, but as always, YMMV. You really have to try them out and see which gives the best battery life for you.
Also could try apps like Juice Defender or similar that aim to optimize battery life.
The only rom i can think of that ive used that doesnt drain your battery would be cm7 or decks gb. Ive used it myself & ive seen good battery life even with my cpu overclocked.
Does it work on viper rom? V2 redline? Thanks! Please let me know
I have the latest MIUI by Swiper, and since 2.2.6, my battery life has been phenomenal with Tiamat kernel 4.1.0, Car-O-Dope tweaks and Vipermod -50.
Phenomenal as in comes off the charger at 6AM and when I get home from work at 5, it's still over 80%

I can confirm this.. ALthough I use 2.3.2 b1 and 3.3.7 sbc kernel as I had some reboot issues with 4.1.0 but yeah.. I'm still at 100 percent at 11:00 am (work at 8).. come home and still at 90. go to bed and hit the charger right above 80. It's unreal.. I consider myself a heavy user too... email, sms, phone calls... etc.
I am currently using Swiper's 2.3.2 b1 with 3.3.7 sbc and have not run into any issues. Battery life is great with this combination for me. Also, keep in mind that I do not run many widgets except an calendar agenda widget.
Myn's Warm series rom's always gave me the best battery life.
i use energy sense 3.5 rom with anthrax kernel. iv had decent battery life w it. about 14 hours or so w moderate use and in and out of roam looking for signal. from what iv read CM7 and MIUI roms are much better with battery life than sense roms. they also seem to be more customizable.

80% at night with heavy use throughout the entire day? I can't believe that. Screenshot? If someone else can validate this, I might try the rom with LEE kernel.

He did mention no AOSP (although AOSP really does have the best battery life IMHO)
Koni's Elite Series III combined with netarchy-toastmod HAVS-less had decent battery life, only issue is that was a Froyo build.
kluster1999: I agree, pic would be awesome.
I don't mean to sound rude, but different ROM and kernel combinations can only make so much of a difference. I'm skeptical of claims of amazing battery life with heavy usage because in the end, the battery is still the same size and the large screen still draws a lot of power.
Been having great Battery life with "The Exress" using" Lionfish more" kernnal and smurfed out....
hi. I was just wondering what you people are getting on your evo 4g. I have a rezound but my dad has this phone and absolutely loves it except for the fact that his battery life is awful. Couldnt last half a day it the world depended on it. so just wondering what your guys are getting on stock and custom roms
I'm using mikg ROM version 3.11 very stable and smooth can get around 12 hours on regular battery. But, I spent 6 dollars on eBay and got an extended battery ... I ran it from 100% to 1% 24 hrs 45 min moderate use

How did you get so much battery life? I tried it and it was dead with in 2-3 hours!
